Glaciem was absolutely boring. There was nothing to do around this place and all the wolves here were all no fun. Though Sol was quickly starting to grow out of her pup body into her adult one, that didn't mean that she still didn't like to just have fun, though that was becoming less frequent. Her mentality had begun to change to that of a warrior. She was beginning to start her own training, taking daily runs along the extensive perimeter of their territory, trying to work herself now so that when she came a full-fledged adult, she would already have the body of a warrior. She would've been training with some of the pack warriors, but it didn't seem that Glaciem had any. And those that they did didn't seem to be around, so Sol was left to her own devices.

Her run had taken her to the Marble Wash today where she had decided to take a little break in, quenching her thirst in one of the small cool ponds. A chill was starting to nip at the atmosphere in Glaciem, more noticeable than usual, which meant that winter was coming along soon. She wasn't worried. Her thick ivory and russet coat would protect her from the harshness of the winter that was to come. Muzzle would lift from the pond, water clinging to her russet chin, icy eyes dancing across the landscape. Where was her sister Talvi? She'd been trying to hunt down the cobalt girl to try and get her to maybe train with her, but her sister had been pretty elusive as of late. Crown would tilt backwards, lips forming an O as she called out to her sister, wanting her to join her so that they could go for a hunt. That run had certainly worked up an appetite. She would let her skull fall back to its normal position, russet tainted ears swiveling to and fro, waiting to hear the tell-tale signs that her sister was on her way.

Where Sol had divided herself from the pack, Talvi had tried to fit in. Yes they could be rather serious, though the young girl had formed friendships with their half-siblings and fellow children on the pack and found a new sense of determination to prove herself. Likewise she had the urge to train to fight and become a warrior, it seemed her mother was talented in that area as well, though Talvi had yet to see any such displays of skill from Argent.

Eager to learn, she had set her mind on her training, though attending each lesson that the pack made available for them. At each one she hoped to see her siblings arriving, though she had given up that dream a long time ago. As a call sounded through the air though, her ears would twist in its direction, her attention fixing upon it. It had been far too long since she had been able to spend time with her family. There was no longer any trace of Kasai around the lands, and as with her mother, it seemed her other siblings had gotten wonderfully talented at evading her.

There was no doubting it though, Sol was calling for her and whilst the family had grown apart, Talvi still wouldn't hesitate to seek her sister out. She had grown prompt at attending lessons and meetings, though she was swifter still it seemed at heading to the call of her family and before too long she would slow as her blue eyes would rest upon the form of Sol. Her mouth formed a soft smile as she stepped forward to greet the other.

She would not be disappointed. Though instead of letting her know that she was coming, Talvi simply materialized from the tree line as she approached, a smile curling her dark kissers. Sol's own returning smile would dawn across her russet lips, ivory plume wagging happily behind her. Talvi seemed to be the only other of her littermates that had stuck around in Glaciem. Kasai disappeared to who knows where without telling them and their other sibling had barely been around. Though the russet and ivory girl didn't like to hang around the pack too much unless it was absolutely necessary, she loved being around her sister. Talvi was pretty much the only thing she had for a real family, not counting the other extended family that she had within the pack. She wanted to be close to her sister and quality time like this was the perfect way to make that happen.

Please tell me that you're up for a hunt Talv. I just did a perimeter run and I'm starving. She would reach forward to nuzzle her quieter sister, hoping that she would be up for the hunt. Just to prove her point her stomach would decide to interject, growling loudly to emphasize just how hungry Sol really was. A stupid grin would split her lips wider apart, tail wagging high across her hips as she waited to see what her sister would say.

Talvi had always sought connection with her family. During their brief time on the island the little family of five was all she had known, moving to Glaciem had sadly torn their unit apart, she was eager to keep them all close though. Those early days, though no longer quite so clear in her memory were still looked back on with such fond thoughts and whilst she had perhaps built up things in her mind, recalling them better than they actually may have been, she still hoped to keep a bond with her siblings.

"Please tell me that you're up for a hunt Talv. I just did a perimeter run and I'm starving." Time of any sort with her siblings was of course never to be turned down, whether hungry or not she would have helped her sister though with the thought of food now in her mind, Talvi certainly found she wouldn't turn down a bite to eat either. "Sounds good to me." She responded, grinning as her sister's stomach would loudly answer as well. "And your stomach too apparently."

Her sister was really the only one who got to see this playful, more jovial side of the russet painted young woman. She was hardly so energetic around strangers or others of the pack. When she wasn't alone with her sister, the rest of the pack got to see a very serious, stoic Sol, businesslike and courteous, the perfect warrior, just like the father that she didn't know. Thoughts of her unknown father had begun to invade her mind more frequently now and the girl was beginning to get restless. Her mother had told them about a big blue man who lived on an island somewhere, which wasn't very helpful at all. Sol hadn't cared too much when she'd been younger, but now that she was almost a year she wanted to know who her sire was. Would her mother let them go find them or would she just have to leave on her own?

Sounds good to me. And your stomach too apparently. Talvi's voice would break her from her thoughts, a chuckle rumbling in her ivory chest. Then let's help my stomach out and get it some actual food before it decides to announce to all of Alacritis just how hungry I am. She would bump into her darker sister playfully as she started away from the pond, icy eyes immediately beginning to scan the foliage as they padded along. Velvety nostrils would flare periodically, testing the air, looking for the scent of food. Rabbit was the first thing she caught and so rabbit it would be. Her muscled torso would lower itself to the ground instinctively, crown tilting to her right as she gave her sister a glance, silently telling her to copy her or else they would scare their prey away. She would wait until Talvi was crouching beside her before continuing forward towards a cluster of bushes. She would stop just behind them, icy gaze intent on the two figures of grey rabbits as they nibbled on the wild grasses. Powerful jaws would unclench as saliva began to form. You ready? She would whisper to her sister, keeping her gaze rooted to the herbivores in case they suddenly decided to bolt, muscles tensed and ready to spring into action.

Never having known her father, for much of her life Talvi had been quite content with the family as it was. Admittedly now a little older she had begun to wonder that little bit more, many of the Isardis children would proudly announce the man as their father but all Talvi could state was that Argent was her mother. It hadn't mattered really, still didn't either apparently the mystery man that they had never gotten to know was better off being left that way from what little she'd heard Isardis speak of him. It would have been nice to know such information from her own experience though, to make up her own mind. There were more important things to worry about though, and if he didn't care enough to come searching for them, perhaps Isardis really had been right.

"Then let's help my stomach out and get it some actual food before it decides to announce to all of Alacritis just how hungry I am" Talvi would chuckle slightly at the comment though there was certainly no point in wasting any time. Sol certainly didn't seem to want to either, already on the search and as the blue and silver girl followed she too was catch the scent of the rabbits that her sister had located. Moving to the side of Sol, she too would spot the two creatures.

"You ready?" With a brief glance to her sister, Talvi would respond with a silent nod of her head. Preparing herself she would fix her gaze upon the unsuspecting rabbits as well. They would have to time their movements. If one charged before the other they ran the risk of losing one or both of the rabbits. "On three." She offered keeping her voice low. "One, two three." And she would move.

Talvi would nod silently in agreement, initiating the countdown so that the two sisters would go after their prey at the same time so as not to frighten one or both away. One, two three. Go. Sol and Talvi were off at the same time, cobalt and ivory frames simultaneously launched themselves over the bushes aimed at their prey. Being downwind had kept their scents from reaching the two creatures, so they were taken by surprise as the two predators came at them. Powerful russet jaws would split wide as forelimbs reached out to grasp at the rabbit, ready to dig into a delicious morsel.

The rabbit would squeal in surprise and alarm as it desperately tried to scramble away to safety, but it was much too late for that now. Talons would bury themselves in the animal's haunches as her jaws came to snap viciously around it's neck. Incisors would slice through the delicate flesh, supporting teeth coming down together to crush the animals windpipe and spine together, a satisfying crunch reverberating through Sol's jaws. Warm life liquid would rush down her gullet, bringing a growl from her throat as she recovered from her assault. Keeping the now dead rabbit in her jaws she would turn back towards where she had last seen Talvi, expecting to see her brandishing her own morsel. Chest would expand and deflate with each breath, the blood pounding hard through her system. The adrenaline rush that came with a hunt was one the best feelings in the world.

Muscles would tense in anticipation even as Talvi begun the countdown for them. As she hit three she'd glance for Sol's movements and together the pair would burst out from their hiding and charge towards their targets. With Sol taking the closer rabbit, Talvi set her aims on the second.

With cry of surprise and terror, the frightened rabbit would start to run, though Talvi had the momentum on her side from her head start. Long legs would swiftly close the distance before the rabbit really had the chance to escape and with practised motion she would lunge for the creature, sinking her teeth in for the kill.

Once the rabbit had stilled, she lifted it once more and turned and made the short journey back to Sol's side seeing that she too had been successful in catching her lunch. Though certainly neither could really call themselves experts still, it was somewhat amazing how much they'd come on in the few short months, both rabbits probably would have escaped, though more experienced now the sister's had learnt from their mistakes and the sign of their success and improvement now hung limply in their jaws.

Talvi would come trotting back to her side, her own rabbit hanging limply from her jaws. Ivory plume would wag behind her in silent congratulations, a smile twisting her occupied jaws. Sol would glance around momentarily, debating whether they should find another spot to eat their meals, but her loudly growling stomach dissuaded the notion. She needed to eat now and here was as good as any place to eat. She would open her maw, letting the rabbit fall to the ground just as her haunches folded beneath her. Let's eat here, yes? She would cast a glance to her sister, already knowing that she would agree before allowing the rest of her body to sink into the earth.

You know, I think we make a pretty good team Talv. the russet and bleached girl would comment as she leaned down, daggers slicing through the delicate skin as she began to peel the fur away to reveal the flush red meat beneath. An almost sigh of relief would worm its way from her jaws as she began to chew the delicious meat, warm blood filling her maw as it made its way down her throat to settle in her stomach alongside the bite of meat. Food was one of life's little pleasures and Sol couldn't get enough of it right now.

There wasn't really much use in travelling to any specific area to eat. Within the pack lands they were safe enough from anyone or anything that might try to steal a meal and two rabbits were hardly worth fighting over anyway. On top of that the meal was hardly one that could be shared, there was no need to take it to anyone else or wait for any others to join them. Here would definitely do to eat. Besides, it seemed that Sol had already made up her mind as she dropped rabbit and herself to the floor. "Let's eat here, yes?"

Talvi's silent agreement would come in the form of mimicking her sister's actions, jaws releasing the rabbit from her grip and letting it fall to the ground with a soft thud. In a far smoother and silent manner, she'd lower herself to the ground as well, paws holding it in place to eat though she didn't begin immediately.

"You know, I think we make a pretty good team Talv." She would smile softly at her sister's words they they surely couldn't be denied. Talvi hoped not anyway, she adored her family and though it seemed she was gaining more she certainly wasn't trying to replace her existing family members in anyway. "I agree." She stated, attention turning once more to her own meal as she began to tuck in.
