as the light rays of morning broken the deepness of sleep he would be surprised to find warmth beside him, to find the ground beneath his soft and gentle with the moss of a forest floor, and the dawning of the sun bright enough above him to tell him he did not lie in his preferred sleeping arrangement ? he was not in a den or a cave, but upon the open floor of the forest. He was surprised with himself for this, and took a couple blinks as he adjusted to the world beyond his sleep. It would be then that he would see the form beside him, and memory would flood back to his conciousness in a glow of joy and sweetness. Beside him was Othello, and he could still taste her within his mouth and let out a blissful sigh as other, pleased parts of his body became known to him.

It would seem she was still in the throngs of sleep and his own blinking, half awake eyes would fall on her form, caress her in gentle movements of those orbs. She was truly a beautiful creature, in not just the moonlight but also the golden glow of dawn. The only difference was the golden hues that sparked against the soft white of her coat, instead of the mysterious tones of blues and silvers that had swallowed her in the night. He would let a soft rumble form in his throat, a gentle soothing sound, not designed to wake her but ease her as his tail curled about her rump and entwined with the gorgeous, sexy curls of her own tail. He would rest his eyes upon her, blinking long and hard as he did so with the weight of sleep still half upon him. He was too blissful and happy to rise, so he stayed beside her and enjoyed the warmth of her body and the sweet image of her curves as he waited for her to awaken.

At long last the dame was able to sleep without dreams interrupting her. It was an unbroken sleep that could only be achieved by feeling of utter exhaustion and of fullness. She felt a warmness in her slumber, something that she had never had before. A soft sigh passed through her parted maw, her body stretching up towards the heat source. Unknowing to her, she was pressing her spine closer to Crucifix, cuddling into his fluffy body. Othello could feel the claws of sleep letting her go, and she fought to return herself to that blissful state. But as she wiggled herself even closer to Cru, she groaned as she started to become aware. Blinking open her purple eyes, she squinted against the sun and covered her face with her leg. She was not a good riser, it often took her quite awhile to actually wake up. Groggily she flipped over, burying her face into the chest fur of the wolf behind her. Wait, what? The dame stayed very still as she waited for the memories to return. They rushed back, relaxing her as she squished herself even further into Cru. Her face was alight with heat, the memories more bashful in the heat of the sunlight.

Othello was surprising herself with not panicking, once again not having to dawn on a mask of any kind. She felt alright to be herself around him, her emotions were calm and level. Well, kinda. She still didn't want to wake up. She felt his tail still around her rump, making her smile into his fur. She wrapped her longer tail around his several times, tugging it playfully. But she still didn't open her eyes again, pressing her body as close as physically possible to his. "Five more minutes." She rumbled, the sound of her voice muffled by his thick fur.

Even in the grip of sleep she would move, shuffling closer into his grasp and he would welcome her there. Nuzzling gently against the back of her neck as she slept and enjoyed the soft fell of the rise and fall of her chest. It had been a peaceful night, with luck it had been cool but not cold and the sky clear above them. He would humm gently to himself even as she groaned beside him and he knew she was close to awareness. He would still simply wait, content to hold her in his arms and wait out the soft passage of time.

She would turn, her face burying into his chest and he would sigh softly in contentment, until the moment that she froze, her body going still. His eyes would shift down to her buried face, watching her as she fully came to wakefulness. She seemed to relax again in his hold and he would draw her closer to him. Feel her soft fur and warm body. Her tail would wrap about his own appendage and he would enjoy the feel of its curls and silky touch against him. He was quite certain she was awake, and would hide his laughter behind a smile as she spoke, asking for five more minutes. ?Take all the time in the world? he purred, caressing the soft fur of her back with an extended claw.

She never wanted to leave this moment. Even in the grip of sleep still, she felt completely at peace. She breathed in Crucifix's scent, her own smell lingering with his. They were entwined even now, and she never wanted to part from him. Love? Maybe. It was too soon to dabble with that thought. She was happy, that was for sure, and why would she want to leave someone you happy? Nonsense, that is what that was. Then the sleepy Ello wondered what Crucifix even did in his spare time. They had hardly spoken and just gotten right down to the dirty stuff. But in the light of dawn, maybe they could stay and chat for awhile.

Othello hummed softly when the brute told her that she could take her time. Slowly she pulled back her head, rolling her neck slightly so that her one eye was gazing up at him. She was pleased to find that he was watching her, his single claw tickling the fur on her back. Her eyes seemed guarded for a moment, and while she didn't grow stiff this time, she just looked worried. She had not even thought to ask if she was bothering him, taking his time from something that he needed to do. "I'm not being a bother, am I?" She asked softly, her one-eyed gaze searching his face. "If you have to go somewhere, don't let me hold you up." Her voice was small, unsure. She had been a pain to everyone in the past, she didn't want to hold up the one being she cared about.

Growing more and more panicked, Othello knew that she needed to calm down before her emotions grew wild. But her breathing was starting to become uneven, her eyes wide and wet. What if Cru never wanted to see her after this? She quickly buried her face in his chest again, trying to hide her emotions from him. She savored his scent, committed it to memory. And then before she knew it, she opened her maw and blurted something out that she regretted. "Will you stay with me?" Othello had never wanted to put Crucifix in that position, it wasn't fair of her to ask that of him. But it was too late, she couldn't take back her words.

She felt like she were eating at her insides with worry, her tail squeezing Cru's slightly. Her paw that rested flat on the earth bit into the soft flesh of the forest floor, a tiny whine slipping out of her maw. There was so much that his male didn't know about her. In the safety of the moonlight she was a powerful temptress. But the sunlight hid nothing, it shone right on her. She was crazy, no one could ever want her. She was kidding herself to think that Crucifix would even want to stay by her side. Who wanted to take on a burden like her? No one...

The calm of the day would be endless glow of warmth and gentle quite from the sounds of the forest around them. It was oddly serene here on their little haven of moss and forest floor. He felt the slow passage of time with a feeling of complete ease, content to wait out the morning with her for as long as she desired. The curl of his claw within the depths of her fur and endlessly gentle movement, a massage against the plush luxury of her coat. Her eyes would blink upon them, and his own orbs would find their way to hers, to lose himself in her swirls of lavender.

Her words, when given would come to him as a surprised, blinking at her, caught in surprise it would take him a second before he replied. ?If I had anywhere to go I?ve had plenty of chances to chase them? he would chuckle softly to her. The insecurity in her tone was an odd change of pace to the confident seductress she had been within the silvers of the night. The hitch of her breath would be next, a shadow to the worry within her orbs. He paused in his stroking of her coat, quizzical eyes upon her as worry consumed the peace of their union. Shit he thought as she came undone before him, burying her head within the comfort of his chest. He had stilled, his eyes upon the folded form of her crown as it fit snug into the smooth fur of his chest. He struggled for a moment to understand the insecurities that consumed her. This was not the wolf he had seen the night before, the one who had welcomed him into her arms, desired him as he had desired her. No, this was within the bright golden glow of daylight, with no shadows to hide her fears beneath.

Her words would come through muffled against his side, felt as well as heard in vibrations through his skin. ?Stay? through the morning?? he would ask, uncertain of her intent in the question. Shit he thought again, feeling her become undone. He moved his claw back against her skin, gentle soothing motions made with flicks of his wrist as he tempted to calm her.

She never wanted to be false around Crucifix, but at the moment she felt like she had no choice. Earlier words were forgotten, but if she was with an active mind she would have giggled as his words. He was a good brute, a kind, caring and passionate soul. But Othello? She was none of those. She would only drag him to hell with her, and he didn't deserve any of that. He needed a lot better, and she just wasn't it. No one could want her, she was just teasing herself with the idea that Cru actually wanted to be with her. She was a nobody, just a temptress to visit on lonely nights. That was all she was good for, was all that she was ever good for.

Slowly the dame pulled her face back from the comfort of his chest, her lavender eyes more at ease. She wouldn't panic in front of him again, she already knew that he could never want to stay with her. "I cannot tie you down Crucifix." She said softly, her vocals hanging in the still air between them. She smiled slightly, although the motion seemed to be a little unsure. Carefully she unwrapped her tail from his, the long appendage flowing in the slight breeze. Yes, she seemed to be a little shut off now. She stuffed her feelings inside and locked them away, something she was quite used to doing. Why should this time be any different? It didn't matter that Cru made her feel like never before, and she was just tantalizing herself by thinking that she was wanted. What a silly creature she was. "You can leave whenever you please, if you do in fact have a home to return to." She hated to hear the tiny bit of hope that crept up in her voice, but she would scold herself later.

She didn't like the look in his matching hued eyes, and she couldn't help but stretch up and draw her moist tongue over his cheek. She longed to console him, to show him that she wasn't really crazy. It may be too late for that, and she couldn't let herself hope for anything different. A soft sigh passed through the lady's maw, and she nuzzled his now damp cheek before returning her head. Othello rolled on to her back, her paws flopping down in front of her belly. Tilting her head to look up at the wonderful being in front of her, she longed to tell him how she truly felt. That was safely locked up though, buried deep so that she would not ruin another life. That is all she did, take good, pure things and make them ugly. She wouldn't do that to Crucifix, she didn't have the heart to. Othello would not be selfish, although her heart ached for her to.

The dame had been enjoying his soft caresses, but that had started to undo her barrier which was the reason for her movement. Although she ached for him to touch her again, to simply embrace her, she showed no signs of it. She just laid there with a casual smile on her lips, her eyes dimmer with her locked down emotions. She was afraid to let anything show, afraid that her panic and neediness would make her lose him. Maybe Cru would like her like this, a normal female that he could shape into whatever he wanted. Maybe he could love her then...

His mind would mentally shudder from the thoughts of a hysterical girl on his hands, for the thoughts of any misery that could have been caused by his own actions. By her actions and concession the night before he thought that she had welcomed him into her arms, but now she seemed to hold him at arms legs, as though she regretted the time they had shared together. He felt her draw from him, felt the unwrapping of her tail from his own. His eyes upon her now would be filled with the regret he could not hide. How funny, how strange and unexpected that she would be the one to pull from him and not the other way around. How very, very strange that it would be he who looked at her with the tones of regret, and perhaps even lose as her gorgeous tail pulled free and touched the wind. Yes, free? that was what Othello was, this strange exotic creature that constantly surprised him, she was a free and wild being.

She would speak again, and it held within it the feeling of a dismissal. Only, he felt uncertain who was being dismissed, fi she dismissed him, or it was to herself, her way of letting go. Her actions however seemed to contradict her words, for she would reach forward and sneak a soft kiss against his cheeks. Rub her velvet cheek, so soft and plush against his own. She fully moved from him now, and his paw would fall limp against the earth, no longer able to gently caress her form. A sigh would pass his lips also, it seemed that in the stark reality of day, all the dreams of the night where lost.

In the moments that had passed, of the emotion that had overtaken here then past he felt like something had been lost, as he looked at her now her spark of life seemed to have dimmed and faded, the smile against her maw held nothing to the pure radiance of her true being. He blinked at her, entranced by the change, and deeply saddened to see how she had locked herself down, locked herself from him. ?Oh Othello? it came from his lips in an unexpected moment of sadness, and came in the form of a sigh. Sweet Othello, how she seemed so lost to him now. ?You?re a stunning creature my dear, even if I don?t understand you? a dry chuckle would follow, an attempt at humour that fell far, far short. He ached to draw her into his arms again, the strange beautiful, wild creature. ?I chose to have no home. And where would you go from here, Othello, where would you go once you left my side?? His wistful voice was ask.

Regret. That is all she could see in beautiful eyes. She wished to rush into his arms, to have his unique scent billow about her and comfort her. She wanted to taste his sweet fur, to feel both their pelts mingle within each other. She wished to become one with him, like they had been the night before. It broke her heart to see him like that, and it was all her fault. She longed to bundle him in her arms and tell him that it would all be okay. "Dearest Crucifix, please no." She whispered, her eyes welling up. For the first time in a long time, Othello wept. Her tears were not from pain or from lose, they were from something very different. Her walls began to crumble down, as quickly as she put them up she tore them down. For him. Anything to take that look from his eyes. "I would never take back anything from last night Cru, please don't think that way." At once she pushed her body up, flinging herself closer to him. Their chests crushed together and she hung her neck around his shoulder. "I am not shutting you out because I don't... care for you. I'm doing it for your own sake." She pulled back then, her soft purple eyes wet with tears.

She knew that she needed to explain to him, she knew that she had to tell him. The last of her walls came down, and she sobbed. Leaning her cranium on his shoulder, she took in his heady scent, soaking his own fur with her salty tears. "No one has ever cared for me, I have been used and abused since my father gave me up. I uh... I struggle with my emotions, they run rampant. I don't want anyone to see how crazy I am, so I hide behind masks. You are the first person who I have been able to truly be myself around. And then in the daylight... I fear you leaving me. I don't know what will happen when you go, if I will ever feel this way again." She was too scared to pull back, too afraid to meet his eyes. She didn't want to know how he was going to feel about all of this. So she took in his scent for what was probably the last time, he would surly run after all that.

His sweet words were too kind, to nice for her. She didn't deserve them, not after how she made him feel. She would never regret what happened, for it was the best memory she had in this life time. So she just sat there, weeping into Crucifix's shoulder. He did ask her a question, saying he gave up his home. "I have been kicked out of every home I know. I wander the land aimlessly, searching for..." She broke of choking on her tears. For what? That even she did not know. "I don't wish you leave your side..." She whispered, not bothering to finish her other sentence. It didn't matter, she would probably never find what she was truly looking for.

The last thing Crucifix expected was her response, for the strange sadness he felt to well within her gorgeous orbs, so show within her features and in the tone and meaning of her words as she whispered his name, whispered and pleaded with him ?no? he would pause, his eyes upon her in uncertainty, unsure at the meaning behind her words. His confusion however would be short lived, for other concerns would envelop him as tears poured in diamond liquids from her violet eyes. He would move forward in a heartbeat, unable to see such sadness within her and do nothing. He never hesitated to take a plunge and risk himself to save a life, but this plunge was different, the risks not the same but he plunged regardless, to find a way to help her from her pain.

They collided together, their chests connected and he gasped with the force of the impact. Then she was in his arms and he held her close, enveloped her with his being, holding her to sanity and to tear away the sadness. He would hold her, and she would speak, her words an attempt to find understanding within herself, understanding for Crucifix as he realised it was his own pain that had brought forth her tears.

He tried to make sense of the emotions that ran through him, that ran through her, of the scene they created as they clung to each other. He did not, and could not understand, but it didn?t stop him from trying, for holding her and attempting to find a way to stop her sadness, even as she did the same for him. So he would listen, as she told him her tale. He was surprised by her admission, but allowed none of it to show, instead he pulled her closer, and nuzzled gently by her ear. ?You?re a wonderfully exotic wolf Othello. That is not your curse, it?s your gift? but her words of never leaving her side made him falter. There was only one wolf in the world who could truly hold and keep him, and even then he did not stay always by her side. He adored his sister, but his need to wonder, to meet others to find this world was too great. ?Othello? he whispered softly, his mouth so close to her ear his breath and words would tickle against the furs. ?I don?t know how to stay? he expected her response to that to be negative, but he could give her nothing less then the truth.

They both exhaled air at the force of their collision, and she was shocked that he too wished to hold her. They wanted to comfort each other, to be as close as possible. This is all she wanted, was to be held by him and lose herself within him. She was glad that he was silent and let her speak, otherwise she wouldn't have gotten in all out. Crucifix was the first wolf that she had confined in, even her own brother didn't know everything. But Cru... there was just something about him. She said it once, and she would say it again. She felt at ease with him, and it was easy for her to just let it all out. It was wrong for her to try and shield herself from him, she was the one who started this whole thing. She made him feel like she regretted last night, and that cracked her heart into pieces.

How silly they must look, if anyone where to walk by. Two wolves buried in each others embrace, one of them in hysterics. It was a good thing that they seemed to pick a more secluded place, because she would surly lose it if anyone were to walk by. Her emotions were for Crucifix and herself, no one else. She was drawn out of her own thoughts when Cru nuzzled her ear, causing a delicate shiver to run down her spine. It brought back fleeting moments of the night before them, causing her body to heat up as he whispered sweet things in her ear. In fact, what he said left her baffled. A strength? What did he mean by that? Exotic, sure, but she never thought of that being a good thing. Her long tail thumped upon the earth a few times, her heart fluttering. A gift? She pulled back slightly, her purple eyes gleaming as she met his. Her smile was sincere, a true smile beaming at Cru. "A gift..." She repeated, the word foreign on her tongue. She didn't think that she knew how much that truly meant to her.

Othello nuzzled back into his shoulder, missing his true warmth. She wanted to feel his breath tickle her ear again. Her thought was soon answered, as he whispered her name softly to her. The dame hummed softly, surprised at just how much her name off his tongue affected her. There were many things about this brute that left her wondering. The words that followed however, reached her in a different way. It made her toes tingle, and her throat clear. Slowly, slowly she pulled her head back, touching noses with him. Her soft, still damp eyes searched his, now void of tears. "Neither do I. I have been pushed away my whole life..." Letting out a huff of air and looking off to the side, she drew her tongue over his nose and brushed her cheek against his. "Maybe we can teach each other. Maybe... we could try." Hopeful, she met his eyes. Hope was a feeling she didn't often let herself feel, but now it soared through her frame.

He was lost to the world, for all that lay beyond their forestry refuge ceased to hold meaning or importance to this brute. He held Othello in his arms, her gentle soft body pushed hard and gentle to his own. He felt her curves against him and relished the feel of the beauty as much as his eyes had enjoyed the sight of her. Her warmth became his warmth, and where his body ended and her began was lost to him. Each movement she made, each shiver that touched her was felt intimately by the silver brute, as he felt her as he had never felt another wolf before.

He relaxed into her unaware of the stiffness he had held, as her smile shone from her face with the radiance of the rising sun. Something in his words must have strummed a cord, and soothed the tension that had driven her to pain and tears. He took it as the gift it was and pushed his head against her coat, through her coat, burying himself in her scent, body heat and all that came to him as feelings of her. Funny, that her very presence was the very gift she spoke of now, a gift to them both for the meanings it held. That she was a beauty worth revering was a gift to them both in the knowledge and the finding.

There faces would align, and the shines of there translucent eyes a mirror to the other, both in shines of home and perhaps even adoration. He needed not have worried to her reaction, for it was a sweet one, without the pain he had expected. The cool of her tongue against his nose would cause a strange reaction, a tingle that raced along the lengths of his body and ended with a soft out-take of breath, a sigh of pleasure to the touch. ?I don't know the future dear Othello. But there is definitely a power you weld above me? he said, with a slightly breathless chuckle. He was not certain how to commit, but nor was he willing to brush her aside.
