What's Out There?

The girl was wandering again, off on her own. Her confidence was growing, as well as her yearning for adventure. As she promised Anais she had been steering clear of the lake... But that didn?t mean she wouldn?t go exploring! Faded blue eyes were wide, looking out at the lands beyond the lake. Thicket... Moving in the breeze, was in the distance, and the girl stood there, mind wondering what was out in those lands. But those lands did not smell of Ebony... Did not smell of her home. She was already close to the border... She could smell how some of the scents were fading... And so Lior would venture no further in this direction.

Still... Curiosity gripped the child. ?I wonder what?s out there?? She would look around and, seeing a fallen log, run and jump upon it. She?d look out over the lands then, tail wagging as she watched birds flying overhead in the direction of the strange lands. ?Maybe Anais or daddy knows what it?s like...? She would think, standing tall with ears perked forward. The autumn wind that blew around her tugged at her coat... And an unfamiliar scent would reach her. Frowning Lior would start looking around. It was... fresh.
