OOC: All Able bodied wolves are expected to show up. Warriors, Epsilons, Gammas, trackers, apprentices and whoever else would like to learn. MUST Reply by 5/17 or Sephiroth will be speaking to Erani about No-shows who have no good reason for being absent.

It was early morning, one of the peak moments when the fog was dense. He stepped into their mysterious territory of the Druids Moor, his mind clear unlike the air around him. He wasn't sure what it was about the Fog, but it seemed to mute the world around him. Even his own paw steps were silenced, his figure being enveloped by swirling mist. Luckily, he knew exactly where the stone circle was, and it was there he would commence training. Claws clicked silently upon the stone floor, dual toned aquamarine eyes gazing ahead before glancing to the sides, though the stone structures were practically invisible with the thick fog. Not even the sun seemed able to penetrate it today. A grin would curl his lips, good. That's just how he wanted it. Stopping in the center, he would tilt his head back and send out a howl. Calling forth all able bodied warriors and others who wanted to learn. He had plans in mind, and today he would begin to set them in motion. The call echoed all around him, both eerily amplified and muffled by the blanket of fog. He then waited, nostrils flaring to catch scents of those approaching, however, the scent of damp mist was incredibly strong in this strange part of the land. He hoped a decent amount of the pack would show up...else he'd have to speak with Erani.

The early morning sky was thick with fog, but that hadn't slowed him down. In fact, he'd never stopped- he'd be awake all night, his inability to sleep- driving him up a wall. When a call rang across the land, that wasn't Erani he paused before heading towards it. Luck would have it, that he was already on the moor, yet on the edge of it. Still, though he moved with no rush- it would seem he was the first one to arrive. Blue eyes studied the figure as he stepped closer, his nostrils flaring as he tried to take in his scent. Though the damp air clouded it, he realized that he didn't know this male, though he smelt of Valhalla. Recognizing that he must be of a higher rank, Valerius inclined his head slightly, before settling to his haunches a few steps away. "Good Morning." Was the only greeting that he would offer, his voice friendly but reserved. His tail brushed the ground beneath him as he wrapped it around his body- his head turning to study the area around him, waiting to see who else would arrive, and what was going on.

What did you expect to find?

Was it something you left behind?

Baldur badly needed to let off some steam and focus his mind on something other than the night terrors that had started again since his brush with Tyr. He knew the other had done something horrid but he had no desire to remember what but he could feel his mind fraying with the effort to keep it contained. Horror-filled eyes pierced his vision even in the light of day.

The great white brute froze for a moment, closing his eyes as he urged the his of a dying breath and the stench of blood from his senses. None of it was real. Once he was certain the moment had passed he continued on his way to answer the call for the warriors of Valhalla. A training session would do him some good.

Baldur arrived at a small gathering of only three wolves but he nodded politely in greeting and sat down quietly as he waited for events to unfold.

Erani Adravendi

When the call of her Secondary Beta rang out, muffled slightly by the mists of the moor, Erani smiled slightly, her course changing with a flick of the tail. She ghosted through the territory on silent paws, not needing to really watch her steps; she knew exactly where to place her paws, having gone through the area many, many times since the packs move here. The first real battle training session of the pack. Why wouldn?t she want to step in and observe? Perhaps even participate. So she slipped toward the stone circle, the heavy mist swirling around her, swathing her snowy form in a pallid veil. She was as a ghost in this area, white on misty white.

She stepped into the circle, effectively concealed near one of the standing stones, deep blue eyes resting on the two forms already there; Sephiroth, and Valerius. No other shad arrived as yet. A soft breath hissed from her nostrils, soft enough not to emit much noise. Would many show? The attendance for the pack hunt had been sparse. If Valhalla continued with slacking? Her heart sank sadly. She would have to relieve those slacking of their home in Valhalla. This was the hard part of leadership when you possessed a kind heart. Amoren had taught her of this. The other hard part, was saying no to hopeful wolves who needed a home; it was one reason there were numbers building outside the borders, of wolves who would not fit among the pack, but she had felt the need to help them in some way. In a way, she felt there may be an advantage to wolves just beyond the borders. A first alarm system. And friends close by to aid in battle.

Her haunches slowly lowered as she watched, waiting for her pack to make her proud.

Imena

She had been in the moor when the call went up. Head lifted as ears perked up, what was this? A training? She sighed softly, she was tired but not exhausted. But leaving the pups for too long bothered her. She had grown very attached to them, specially Askel. But she could not disobey the call. Treading through the moor, mud collected on her lower legs but she approach was soft, a gentle movement as it part of the moor. She might not have silent paws but she could blend into the land easily. Slowly she would emerge from the thick of the fog, sky blue eyes landing upon a small gathering of her pack. With a warm smile she dipped her head to each in turn."So what will we be training today? If fighting might I request to also train the healers in injuries upon a battle field? This will give them a great opportunity to get an idea of a real fight like we had with the sage..." She said softly looking to Erani then Sephiroth. "That is, it is fine with you Sephiroth." She added, dipping her head.

She had not felt with alive in awhile. To be able to help others like Loki's pups and train with her pack, it was thrilling. It reminded her of who she was and what role she played within the pack. Briefly she wondered where Amia was and worried if she would even show. She knew the girl was very wary of fighting or even sparring.

He would hear the call of one he knew somewhat well. And swiftly he would answer. Sephiroth's voice would ring through the territory, and Jinxx was never one to ignore a call. He didn't want to sit around and do nothing, and meeting others within the pack would do him good. Black painted paws carried him through the dense fog, the scents of others muffled by the mist, but the faint sounds of voices guiding him to their location. Clear blue pools would see the outlines, and quietly he would approach. His pelt grew slightly heavy with the accumulating droplets, though it didn't hinder him in the slightest.

He gazed at those who had already arrived, Erani standing out in the crowd due to her white pelt. Also lingering about were others he had not met, though recognized somewhat from the last meeting. Dipping his head to Erani and Sephiroth, he seated himself near the pair. Wondering if Odette or any of his family would show up today.

Though Quintus Nero had been scarce, he had not yet left Valhalla. And why would he? He had nowhere else to go, except wherever his parents were, and the thought of returning to them like a child was disconcerting. His dreams were filled with these constant doubts and insecurities -- not that he would ever admit them aloud. So often his sleep was restless and fitful, and before long morning had arrived once again.

A call lifted him from his light sleep. Slowly and feeling rather groggy, the boy pulled himself onto all fours, stretching sleep from his limbs and letting his jaws part in a wide yawn. He wasn't entirely sure what the call was for, but he knew he would be best to answer it regardless. Erani had likely noticed his absence -- and although he had a damn good excuse, he was still not willing to see her get pissed off at him. That would not be a pretty sight.

The fog was thick this morning, heavy with dew and rain, and he found himself grumbling slightly at the chill that seeped into his pelt as he made his way from his den and toward the gathering. It wasn't the nicest weather, that was certain. He'd been born in the summer, and he preferred the warm air and sunshine upon his back.

It took a considerable amount of time for him to navigate the land safely, as it was cloaked in a heavy mist, but before long he found himself near the others, and quietly he came to rest on his hindquarters, sea-green eyes dancing across the wolves that had already arrived.

All the druid could do when he heard the call for fight training was sigh. He had wanted to do his best to follow his aunt's instructions and train in every field, but his spar had been an utter failure. It was discouraging and even a bit humiliating. But, none of the less, Cael pulled himself grudgingly to his paws and trotted off toward the call that Sephiroth had put out. He didn't want to seem like he wasn't trying or that he was a sore loser.

He moved carefully with soft pawsteps through the foggy moor, soon spotting the gathering of wolves ahead. His two-toned gaze searched out the ones he knew, seeing both his aunt and Imena in the group. He went over to stand beside Imena, brushing his shoulder against hers, before he nodded to both Erani and Sephiroth. He would settle down on his haunches, waiting to see exactly what they would be working on today.

Meili's ears perked up with interest as the call went out, summoning all of them to train. She wasn't particularly familiar with spars or fighting, but she had nothing against learning something new. Besides, she wanted to do her best to be a part of this pack so this was a great way for her to do it! With fresh determination she took off at a gentle run. She wasn't in any real hurry, but it was almost more natural for her to run at this point than it was for her to walk. She spent a lot of time working on her endurance, speed, and hunting and she wondered how these skills would translate to fighting.

She had to slow to a walk as she approached the moor, the dense fog making it difficult to see the ground and she didn't want another accident like the day she had met Gael. She followed the scents of several of her pack mates to the place where Sephiroth had gathered them, coming to a stop as she found a spot among them. There were several wolves here already, but she knew this was only a fraction of the wolves that resided in Valhalla. She took a seat, reclining back on her haunches as her teal gaze wandered over the faces of those here. She recognized most of them from some meeting or another, but she couldn't but names with all of their faces. She hoped that maybe this would be a chance to get to know some of them better as well.

The howl came from Druid?s Moor, and the male would get up, ears twitching some as he tried to figure out who the howl had come from. Someone of higher rank... He though he could place what the wolf looked like in his mind though no name would come to him at the moment. He would shake out his coat, heading for the mist covered lands at a jog. Battle training would certainly be good, he thought. He could see how the skills of his fellow packmates measured up, and see where he stood among the ones with experience.

When he arrived he could see some other wolves there. That was certainly good, though he was hoping for a much better turnout than the pack hunt. Sure sigmas were the ones mainly supposed to hunt but surely some other wolves could have showed? He would shake his head to himself and then take a seat, dipping his head to the wolf that called them together. Though... It was a bit hard to make out some of the forms of the others that had been called. He could see his sister though.

Another call came for the pack to gather, though this did not belong to anyone Tyr had heard before, and for a moment a sudden fear shot through him that someone had challenged Erani for the pack and had managed to defeat her... but immediately he shook his head at his own stupid fears. Erani couldn't be defeated by anyone. It must be one of Valhalla's high ranking wolves.

Uncertainly he crept his way to the stone circle where the call had come from. There were wolves there already - including Baldur, a sight that made him flinch and resolve to avoid going too near the group. To that end he lurked a ways back into the mist and stones, where he could watch and hear without being being likely to run into Baldur, or hopefully be noticed at all while he discovered what this was all about.

OOC: Unless you have an absence notice up, you're required to post by 5/31.

The fog and mist would roll about his feet, muffling the world around him. Though he was trained as a soldier, a machine built for war since birth. Nothing got by him no matter the conditions. Ears cocked forth as he heard the first silent footfalls of another approaching. He wasn't quite sure of his name, though he would change that today. "Good morning to you as well, sir." He would greet in return, dipping his head to him. There would be time for introductions, for not only did he want today to be for training but also as a chance for others to get to know the faces of their pack mates. After all, what was a pack if everyone remained a stranger to each other? It would not take long for more to arrive, the watered down scents beginning to flourish around him as they trickled into the arena. He would see Erani lingering around, glad that she had decided to arrive. Imena would arrive then, eager and curious about what today's lesson would be about. A small smile lifted his maw as he peered at her. "Today is a session on evasive skills. However, if any healers arrive then you are welcome to combine the training. They will also have to learn some techniques to keep themselves safe on the field of battle as well."

He would look up once more as others trickled in. The cross marked male he knew as Jinxx, followed by another young male and a few others. He waited a few more minutes, but it seemed no more would show. Or so he thought. One more would arrive, though remained on the outskirts of the meeting. Aquamarine eyes did not fail to catch him there, and he would motion for him to join them. Everyone present would participate in training today. Looking at the faces that had gathered, he would stand and speak. "Good morning everyone. I am sorry to have called a session so early, but potential war does not care what time of day it is. And from my experience, it can happen at any time. Today, we will be learning evasive maneuvers. There will be sparring, but we want to focus on keeping yourselves intact and have your wits about you during a fight. You're no good on the field if you're critically injured before the fight is over." Indeed it was true. He wanted to make sure his pack was able to keep themselves safe in the event a siege were to happen again. Though Valhalla had done well in the last one, they were not prepared and half the members lacked experience. Many suffered critical injuries, but they would be prepared for the next one. "Any questions or concerns before I pair you up?"

She couldn't believe this was happening! She should have slept in the den with Imena and Cael but instead had been down in the tunnels of the Whisperer's Gorge. The call that went up had nearly gone unnoticed with the wind teasing her ears down in the gorge. But her doubt that it was simply just the wind had her crawling out into the day. She had trotted out of the gorge towards the meeting place, thinking that was her best place to try. But finding trails scents running towards the moor made her stomach drop to the ground. This wasn't the right place! Panic crashed over her, she had to be late as it was and she still wasn't even there yet. With whine she took off at a sprint.

By the time she got there she would be the last one. She came in silently through the fog, using Cormalin's training on silent walking to enter the group. Ears perked up at the sound of a voice, hearing only the last sentence. Tail tucked under and head lowered."I..i am sooo sorry for being late. Please forgive me?" She would ask softly looking at the male in charge them Erani and Imena. Imena's warm gaze, though stern drew her to the older women's side. She sat down, hunched over, fur prickling from nerves and panic. Would she be in trouble? Eyes were glued to the ground as she waiting.

Arwel would wait, ears perked in the direction of the white and gray male as he spoke, addressing those that had gathered. Arwel would settle, cerulean eyes scanning for the others for just a moment before looking back to the one that had summoned them. His words were true enough... War would not wait for a good time of day to strike. It could happen at any time, for any reason. He was going to be teaching evasive maneuvers, as well as working on spar training. It was more to focus on keeping yourselves intact throughout a fight. Sometimes the best offense was making sure your defenses were top notch and outlasting your opponent.

The way this male spoke... Arwel couldn?t help but wonder if he spoke from some sort of personal experience. The black, rust, and cream male knew well enough what poor defenses could lead to. He would give a small shudder, certain that, for a moment, he felt his old scars, buried underneath his fur, start burning. No... This lesson would be of the utmost important to give his full attention to. He wasn?t sure what all the wolves of Valhalla had gone through... But he knew that the pack had gone through a lot of things... Even having their alphess lose leadership and having another take over. He didn?t know what was to come... But he was going to be ready to assist them in any way that he could. As the male asked if there were any questions or concerns he would shake his head, though he wasn?t sure if the male would be able to fully see in the mist. Maybe a bit easier since it was him and his coat was darker... Though wolves like Erani and himself were like a ghost here.

More wolves trickled in including the alphess Erani. He was curious if she was here to simply observe or to participate as well? Baldur said nothing and simply offered a nod to the male that was leading the training session. He shifted on his paws, anxious to get to the actual battle portion. This session would focus on evasion. Baldur had some practice with that, dodging the wrath of his brother Thor after ill-timed pranks. Though at this moment he was more interested in physical contact rather than skirting around like a butterfly.

Erani watched as the wolves trickled in. Noticeable was the absence of Alpine, the newly appointed Digamma Tertiary. Jowls lifted slightly in a small snarl. Indeed, several did not appear. Cormalin, Surreal, Alsander, and Sarak all had reasons to be absent, but they would likely be arriving in time for the sparring. Sephiroth began to speak, and she turned her attention to her Beta Secondary. So today was a day for evasion tactics. Good. A small nod dipped her chin a fraction, before she rose and stepped into full view, coming to stand beside Sephiroth.

?Thank you, all of you who have attended this session. May you do well in your spars.? A warm smile crossed her features as she looked at them. Glancing at Sephiroth, she added in an undertone: ?Surreal, Cormalin, Alsander and Sarak should be arriving soon. They had this morning?s patrol.? But where, she wondered, was Chrysanthe? Where was Lyric? She was also amazed that Odette hadn?t been the first to arrive, and was still not here. Her eyes flicked through the faces. Too few.

Meili was glad to see Arwel appear, happy to have a familiar face near by. She did wonder where Gael was, however. He was never one to miss a meeting. A few more came in, though not many. She recognized a few of them from the last pack meeting, but she couldn't say that she knew any of them very well. Sephiroth and Erani would both speak and she could tell neither of them were pleased with the turnout. When Sephiroth spoke of the war and being caught off guard she glanced to her brother, knowing well enough that they knew that lesson very well. She may not remember the ambush very well, but she never wanted something like that to happen again. To top it off, she was around for the war and hated that she hadn't been able to help. Today would hopefully be the start to change that. Turning her teal gaze back to a foggy Sephiroth she would shake her head as well, ready to get this training started.

Odette was late; it was a habit she didn't want to keep. Angry at herself, she pushed through the trees whose branches were bare due to hibernation. The yearling had been in a fog the past couple of weeks. Her reasons were weak excuses and she didn't know why she hadn't gone to Chrysanthe or Erani about her troubled mind. Lately, she had been visited by Gargoyle and Ocena in her dreams and they had left before she could get answers to her questions. There was so much she didn't know about them and it seemed that was how she would keep living.
Aside from her parents visiting her in her dreams, the training had dwindled to only a morning or two a week. Her muscles ached from not being used and she had less energy than when her sessions first started. The physical exertion and her mental troubles was a horrible combination to have and she didn't know what to do about it. She had grown used to being by herself before Valhalla took her in, but now that she had been with them, it was a stranger in her eyes. The loneliness was trying to work its way back into her life and she was afraid it would take over.
These thoughts she kept to herself as she stumbled through the fog of the moor. Her red and blue eyes didn't retain their usual sparkle; instead, they were dull and lacked the life her soul usually provided. She saw the small ring of wolves and noted that Sephiroth was leading them into the lesson. Odette's gaze moved to Erani and her lack of lustrous gaze was given for her and her alone. Slowly, the sparkle returned and she gave a soft smile to the white-furred female. "Sorry I am late," she said in a tone matching her facial expression. "Have I missed anything?" Her muscles continued to silently scream from neglect as she reclined to her haunches beside Erani. Once she was told what to do, she would carry her task out with the best of her abilities.

She would smile to Sephiroth as they spoke and nodded her head.Yes of course. I cant have my healers getting hurt in battle trying to aid those wounded on the field. Thank you Sephiroth, this will be good training for everyone. She said softly. With Erani as alpha if a battle or war occurred Imena would be the one to lead the Healers as Erani lead the warriors. She would need to see who can work under stress of battle, who could keep a clear mind to make then the runners into the fight while the others worked off to the side in safety.

As more joined the group, it would not be much more and a frown would crease the corners of her lips. It saddened her to see so few when the last pack meeting this training had been put out to them. They had all been given notice that this would be happening. So why did so few show up? She glanced around the group, the only healers here were Cael, Amia and herself. Before she could make a comment on the matter, Erani stepped out from the fog. She would dip her head to the white female before looking to Sephiroth. Her face grew grin in the memories of Valhalla's war with Glaciem. She shook her head, needing no farther words to speak.
