The day was young, the chilly air of autumn grasping its hands on the lands below. A covering of frost adorned the area, weighing down the blades of grass. Winter was threatening, but still the plants clung to life. They would not yet give up. The leaves had begun to change colours, stubborn green ones looking like emeralds among all the oranges, reds, and browns of their brethren around them. It was a very pretty time, but also one that reminded everyone of death. The spring would always come after winter, often the colder months made creatures forgetful of it. The yearling that walked among the frosted grass did not. Even in his short time of life spent on this earth he knew this valuable lesson and took it to heart.

Bass paused, shaking the dew that hung onto his ivory fur. It made him feel heavy, like he was carrying some extra weight on him. But no matter how much she shook off the melted frost, it just got wet again. The young one huffed, raising his legs really high up when he took a step in hopes that he would avoid getting wet. He looked like a crane, stretching up as high as he could and then stepping as far as he could. Silly if anyone were to be spectating him. At last a large rock came into view, and he chirped happily, pretty much bounding over to it. The brute scrambled upon the damp rock, but his already wet paws slipped on the slippery surface. Then before he knew it, he was laying flat on his back, blinking up into the gray sky. How had that happened?

The yearling was slightly stunned, he had fallen backwards before he could really take in what had happened. And now he was really wet, and the cold was starting to effect Bass. Shivering, he rolled around and stood up on his shaky legs. "Burrr...." He said softly, trying to shake his pelt and rid of that nasty water. Gross. The white fur clung to his form, making him look more like a rodent than a wolf. Wrinkling up his nose, he looked around and tried to find a shelter. There didn't seem to be anything around, but he kept walking, his poor little body shaking.

Oh this was certainly the show! She had stood back for a while now, watching a pale, young male attempt to maneuver through the cold, frosty field, the dew coating his pelt with each step even though he was trying oh so hard to avoid it. And then he would try to climb up on a rock, only to come tumbling down onto his back thanks to the dew covering everything, not just the grass. She had to bite her tongue to keep from laughing outright. He emerged from the grass once more, completely soaked, his fur clinging to his shivering form pitifully.

Poem rolled her eyes. Some wolves really were just so helpless. With a sigh she walked toward him, the water soaking her legs and her underbelly, but nothing more. "You got more on you trying to avoid it than you would have if you just walked normally, you know," she called out to him as she got closer, a smirk on her muzzle. "I'm Poem Destruction," she said as an introduction as she came to a halt a few feet from him, her golden gaze both amused and curious as she looked over his drenched form. She always tagged her last name onto her introductions now ever since she had her chance meeting with that other young wolf, Chord. She never knew who she might run into around here.

He had been so focused on getting dry that he did not hear the other approach, nor was he aware of her eyes on his pale form. So he was very surprised when the female spoke. His golden eyes looked over to her larger form, her gray fur standing out among the greens of the landscape. She was older than him, that he could tell. Shaking his damp form again, he huffed softly. To look like a fool in front of a lady! "I'm sorry." He said softly, as if his fall had somehow offended her.

When he heard the females name, his brown tipped ears perked. Destruction? "I'm Bass Destruction." He said smoothly, dipping is front half in a bow type greeting. He may only be a year old, but he was a growing gentleman for sure. He sniffed the air, taking in her flowery musk. Yes, it was somewhat like his, but only a few hints of it. Blinking his eyes, he met her similar hued ones. "My parents are Lyric and Darilnor, and my siblings are Motif, Harmony, Rhythm, and Cord." He usually would not share that much, but she was family in some sort of way. He wanted to give her all the information that he had so that he knew how they were related.

Shivering softly, he stepped a bit closer to the female. He was pretty cold, and she wasn't that wet. He didn't want to simply press himself against her fully though, because that would be rude. Only a few paces closer, close enough that a bit of heat reached his flank. Ah... better. Bass sighed softy, smiling up at the female that was somehow part of his family.

The boy would introduce himself with an admittedly adorable bow, making Poem smirk. Of course he was a Destruction. Her family seemed to be everywhere in these lands. He was adorable with his little gentlemanly motions, she would give him that much. He went on to explain his lineage, and she would nod with understanding. "Ah, yes, I met Chord not too long ago. Soon enough I'll meet all of your siblings," she joked with a grin. There were a few physical similarities between her and Bass, with the brown color on the bridge of their noses and their yellow eyes, but it was quite obvious they were from opposite branches of the tree.

Poem watched him with a raised brow as he moved closer, not really knowing what he was doing till he got close enough to feel her body heat and sighed, her proximity apparently a relief for him. She looked at him with confusion till it dawned on her. Cold. He was cold. Poem laughed and rolled her eyes. "Here," she muttered before pressing her side to his, glancing at him with a smirk. She could feel the wetness from his fur seeping onto hers, but it didn't bother her near as much as it seemed to bother him. "Better?"

Oh so this dame had met his sister? He wasn't overly shocked, he knew that the Destruction line was a long one, he knew that it would be a long time before he met every single one of them. There seemed to be a constant amount popping up from time to time, he always heard of everyone having pups. So many babies! It made Bass excited, he loved pups. Snapping his attention back to Poem he caught her rolling her eyes, yet a grin let him know that it was at his own general silliness. She stepped closer to him and her heat wrapped his whole body in a comforting way, ceasing his shivering. Another sigh passed through his lips, his tense shoulders relaxing as the warmth seeped into his muscles "Much better." He said with a smile, resting his head on the older females shoulder. He hoped that she didn't mind getting wet, because he was rather soaked. "Do you belong to a pack around these parts?" He asked, his curiosity about packs never ending. He loved the whole idea, but didn't know who to join or what was what. Slowly he was gaining information on them, and would soon make his choice. Motif wasn't too fond on joining a pack, but he knew that sooner or later he would be able to drag her with him.
