She would prowl the territory that surrounded her own, venturing to the west, finding herself surrounded by willows. Leaves would brush against her pelt as she navigated the roots that where tangled at her feet. The russet Queen kept to the shadows, finding herself unable to sleep that night. Paws pressed into the soft earth, tail swaying idly at her hocks with her crown lifted proudly. She was slowly but surely settling into her place as Queen, she was learning the terrain of her home, and marking her boarders carefully. Her numbers were small, but she was confident they would grow. She visited with Vi every so often, finding comfort in the fact that her friend was so close. Many members of the old Arcanum had fled with the silver Queen, and those that lingered saw her only as a pawn and were slowly trickling away if they hadn't fled already. She would pay those who weren't loyal no mind, Maija stood beside her, and the kids had joined as well, her ranks were already filling with those who wished to join. Nostrils would quiver, inhaling, breaking her from her train of thoughts. She had approached a small clearing that allowed the moonlight to shine through. She would pause before lowering herself to the ground. Limbs folded delicately beneath her as she settled in to take a rest, torn ears swiveling gently.

The Ooze Participant

A sigh seemed to come out of nowhere, a sound full of emotion that she dare not express in the light of day. Her husband's betrayal had cut deeply, and though she was willing to give him a second chance, the pain did not dissipate. In fact, it seemed to grow, consuming her with pain that she was unused to feeling, toying with her emotions as though she was a child's toy. But it also seemed to give her confidence that she had lost so many months ago, fueling her to not settle for an ordinary life, but to crave something more. It was why she wandered now, with Maverick always close behind if not with her. Ebony had not been the answer, though it had been more pleasant than remaining in Seracia -- what she truly desired, she was not sure, but she wouldn't stop until she found it.

The darkness of night offered her cover that she craved, and slowly the creature would slink through the familiar willow trees, weaving in and out of them with expert fluidity. She did not desire to be found, but the abrupt scent of a stranger proved her wishes would not be fulfilled tonight. Epiphron's pacing slowed significantly, eyes scanning the darkness to search for the scent of another. This place had been claimed by someone, it seemed, though not a pack. Nose wrinkled as she tasted the scent, finding it entirely unfamiliar. The form of a strange would come into view as she moved across the lands, and she halted mid-step. "Who owns these lands?" she inquired simply, head cocked to the side in simple curiosity. Knowledge was power, and Epiphron had not yet ceased to want to learn.
