To health! It was all she cared about these days, the pure joys of feeling whole again. She had had a few adventures since leaving the confines of the cave and still she didn?t fully feel as though she had stretched out her full potential, fully freed herself of the ties of sickness. Her endurance was still impaired and she longed to fight past that as well. Today however would find her in Valhalla, not far from her den and rolling about in the snow that shrouded Valhalla in soft layers of white. She hadn?t really had a chance to play in the snow before and fully enjoyed the experience now. A soft giggle would escape her lips as she rolled about until her coat was coated in half melted substance and clung to her skin. A blissful sigh would emanate through her lips next as she collapsed on her back and looked up at the sky. She imagined she could catch the stars if she just reached out a paw far enough? and that was just it, the world was at her paw-tips, there was nothing she couldn?t do if she just put her mind to it. "words"

It truly was wonderful to see Cecily well again, a happy mother Emer had even relaxed slightly in her usual worry over the children, allowing them a chance to have some fun knowing how lucky Cecily was to finally have such freedom again. Of course she still worried though, that was a trait that would probably never leave the Autumnal coloured woman but she was coming to realise more and more just how much she could rely upon Valerius and of course the rest of Valhalla to help her in keeping her children safe. They were not quite so small either, a fact that was hard to face though all so clear for no longer could she carry even Signy the smallest of her children. They were still far from being adults though, if she would ever be able to consider them as such, right now the fact evidently clear as she caught sight of Cecily rolling around in the snow, giggling in that manner she always had. Emer would smile softly at the sight, silently watching until her daughter suddenly stopped and lay upon her back. It was only then after a few moments that the mother would move once more and approach her daughter, nuzzling her in greeting before her golden eyes glanced upwards at the starry sky above Cecily was currently staring at. The night was certainly a rather clear one, the stars standing out with few clouds littering the dark sky.

A presence would intrude upon the moment, one that she recognised in an instant, by some instinct or deep remembrance of the sound of Emer?s footfall or the familiar softness of the woman?s breath. Emer was in every way hers, as she was Emer?s and the sound of her was something Cecily could never forget. Without turning she would stretch out a little further and would taste a warm smile upon her lips. ?Hey mummy? she cooed softly as the woman moved a muzzle to the pups fur.



Since getting sick the girl hadn?t had much opportunity to pursue certain lines of questioning with her mother and shuffling backwards until she was resting against one of the older woman?s front paws she would tilt back her head and look at Emer now. ?Hey Mummy, I told Val he can be my daddy? she said proudly, returning to a conversation they had had before she had fallen ill and all such concerns had gone out the window. Perhaps she should have warned her mother earlier, but really where would have been the fun in that?

She would smile warmly at her daughter as she shifted to move closer to her, greeting her softly. "Hello Cecily." Came the loving reply, gaze once more moving back down to look at her daughter as she settled down, sitting upon the snow. It was a peaceful moment for now and Emer was unaware that Cecily was once more about to turn it into a somewhat more awkward topic. There it was, the declaration that she had told Valerius he could be her father. It was actually a smile that Emer had to keep at bay however, pushing away the memory of her recent talk with the brown male who was apparently Cecily's new dad. "I had heard about that." She responded, her voice calm and giving little away.

The calm of Emers one was antagonising and once more it was difficult to remain seated with thoughts swirling about her head. She would however just give off a soft sigh and snuggle deeper into her mother?s leg, taking warmth and companionship from the other woman. ?It?s nice having a dad? she would say, she thought of it almost like a competition; her best friend had a daddy, others had a daddy and now she did too, now they didn?t have something that she didn?t. But there was more to it than that, Val was an amazing wolf, and having him as her dad made him hers a part of him now belonged to her in way it hadn?t before, and knowing that made a warmth flow through her, the feeling of being loved, and owning people in the world. ?I suppose I didn?t really need one when I have a mummy like you? but it?s still nice? she would continue, eyes trailing upwards to try and meet with Emers. She loved her mother, absolutely adored the other woman ? she was her lifeline, her comfort and the source of her greatest love in the world. ?Hey mummy, can you teach me to hunt?? the thought just popped into her mind, just like that! Out of the blue but suddenly it was the greatest idea in the world and all of her attention was upon this new greatness. So far her attempts at hunting where rudimentary and failures ? not to Cecily?s own fault of course, the situations had just been wrong each time. In saying that, with Emer, she had no doubt the situation would be right speech

Valerius had been there at the start for them but it still wasn't quite the way she had ever hoped her children's lives would have started. Her parent's lives had been ideal in her mind, perhaps what she had one day aspired to though of course things had gone rather differently, everything coming in a very jumbled order. Although Cecily doubted her need for a dad, Emer would be glad everyday that she had Valerius there to help her children, and help her too. All the same she would smile softly at her daughter's words. "I'm glad you have a dad too." She responded simply. All too suddenly the topic would apparently be changed. No longer would they speak of Valerius as Cecily questioned if she could learn to hunt. It was certainly something that needed to happen at some point, though truth be told with everything that had happened and her urge to keep her children as that she hadn't actually thought about teaching them to hunt yet. She was still too small really for hunting any large prey though it probably was time to begin teaching her how to hunt so she could practice on smaller creatures. "Yes, I guess so." She responded, the slight surprise for the sudden off-topic question being announced. And thus led to the question in Emer's mind. When did she want to start learning, right this minute or wait until morning or another time? It'd be nice to start the lessons with the three of them together, and probably a little more practical to do in the light rather than the at night anyway for a first lesson.

She would get the answer her heart desired and at once she would shake off any legathry that might had begun to take her over. She would bounce to her paws and dance about her mother, displaying her full health and energy for the world to see. She was too big now to duck and weave her mothers paws and catch her tail, so instead she would settle for bumping her shoulder against the other woman in deep effection. Truly, she knew with all her heart that she had the best family in the world. The night did nothing to lessen her thoughts of hunting, in fact it turned it into more of an adventure! Still prancing she would turn her gaze back and forth between the other woman and the world beyond. ?What would we hunt? Rabbits? Foxes? Tigers? Bears?' she would ask, getting bigger and more unlikely animals ticked of her paws as she chatted excitedly. She would sneak through the undergrowth, wiggle her butt, and vola!
