Stretching out on his side, Thor stared out over the prairie. Rolling hills, wide open spaces, herds so vast you couldn't see one end from the other. Much better than snakes, although the plains that had served as home for the winter months weren't so easily dismissed. They had been more than suitable for the band's needs. It had been, however, time for a change and with that in mind, the group had packed up and left.

Sighing, the brute flipped over. Everything was peaceful and pleasant. The prairie to the left was a lot like the prairie to the right. Same amount of vastness, same amount of distant prey. Lotsa hills. Perhaps it was time to disrupt the peace.

Stretching into a sit, Thor eyed the various game animals with interest. Perhaps it was time for a lesson. The girls were plenty big enough to manipulate game. They probably weren't capable enough to bring down prey, but they could put their young legs to use and do all the chasing. Hell, Loki's brood could jump in too for all he cared. The more the merrier, right?

Barking out a howl, Thor waited to see who all would take him up on the offer of a hunt. For those who were still learning, he offered a lesson.

Thor's summons was not an entirely unfamiliar one, though Hel found herself tempted to ignore it just because. However, it wasn't often that her Uncle Thor called for family members, and Hel was more curious than she would have admitted. She found herself rising to her paws despite her idle consideration of ignoring the call, and Hel began to pad forward, limbs stretching out to carry the petite youngster along towards the wolf that had summoned her family. The call had not been specifically for her, and perhaps that was why she was more inclined to follow than she might have been - besides being curious and all that.

Still, Hel found herself hesitating as she drew closer, before slipping forward and drawing near her uncle. "Uncle Thor!" She greeted him with a happy wave of her tail, tilting her head back to gaze at the larger brown male. "What are we gonna do today? Are we gonna explore? Or are we gonna go meet somebody new? Is daddy going to be coming?" The words spilled from her maw like water bubbling over a dam, and Hel only found herself stopping when she had to take a breath. Though she was growing older, she definitely wasn't too old to pepper her family with a barrage of questions - she'd probably never be too old for that at the rate she was going.

Helena came flying up, exuding the kind of energy that was harmlessly infectious. Thor couldn't help but match her pep. "Helena! " He managed to squeeze in the name before his niece launched into a barrage of questions. So. Much. Energy. Where did it all come from? He'd never met someone so...exuberant. Had her mother been that way? Thor didn't remember Loki behaving like his daughter when they were little. Perhaps that was because of their circumstances, but still. There was no way he was responsible for all of Helena's pep.

He listened, making note of each question in case she rambled on as he waited for the inevitable pause for air, and then when it came he jumped in with the answers. "We're going on a hunt! Doesn't that sound like fun? We'll do some exploring first." They had to find the prey somehow. "Not on purpose, but I'm up for meeting people if you are." Ahhh, Loki. Would he be able to resist if one of his little munchkins summoned him? "I don't know, Hel. Why don't you call for him and see if he wants to come along?" Hehehehe.

They had moved again, something the brown girl was not prepared for. It sent her emotions whirling with unease. She understood why they had the leave. Something like another pack had claimed their snake infested home. But she had gotten used to it there, knew where to look for snakes and avoid them, the slight raise in the ground here and there. It was becoming a home she could feel safe in. And the word safe was all new to her. She liked it, but it didn't mean she knew what feeling safe with another was like. She was still wary of Thor and his brothers. But what choice did she have but to follow? She couldn't leave her sisters, even if she had told them they were on their own. It was a lie, Arn was always there in the background watching through her judging eyes.

A call from Thor stirred her from her so called nap. She rolled from her back to her paws in the thick growth of plants she had buried herself in. She grumbled softly, all she had wanted to do was take a nap but sleep evaded her. Getting to her paws she shook of her fur that now gleamed in the light in good health. She had finally filled out, even after having that tummy ache for a few long days. She didn't know what caused it but it seemed to be gone now. She snorted out a sneeze before taking off at an ease trot to search for Thor. Voices turned her in the direction she needed to go, more like one voice did. It wasn't her sister's so it had to be one of Loki's kids. She slowed down she peek through a bush to watch before walking into view. Blue eyes fixed on Thor, judging yet curious. A hunt? Could they do it?
