Valeriya decided she loved forests. Why her mother had decided to settle them in a boulder field the young fae would never know. The trees stretching high over her head, clinging so desperately to the landscapes steep slopes, seemed to whisper to her in the wind. She didn't have to look far to see wildlife either, she was surrounded by birds and rodents of all kinds. They screamed out their own alarms at her passing, which gave the girl a certain sort of pride. She had half a mind to trying chasing one down and making a meal of it, just to prove the others correct in their alarm. Thats right, I'm not a pup any more, at least they realize that. The stern words she'd had with her brother still heated and rankled under her fur. I mean, who did he think he was, telling her to come home like she had some sort of curfew! She loved her family, but that didn't mean she was going to be some homebody for the rest of her days, running the same trails over and over again. Besides, she was still in the right, they would have way more fun if they'd chosen to come with her instead. Val crested the top of the rise she'd been traversing all day long. Her lungs burned for want of air, but as she spun round to face the plunge behind her, it stole what was left of her breath away. The view, bathed in early sunset light, was dazzling. Golden light glinted off of the narrow bay below, and illuminated the glorious pines she'd come to know. A broad grin split her maw and her mood could no longer be soured by such bad memories. If they were so concerned for Ebony they could keep it. Val had better things to do, anyways.

ooc: sorry short post D:

SWORD as GOLDEN as his H A I R

He was a man of power. With each stride it was bluntly obvious that he had an edge to him. His face was horrible stern without any emotion. Remus was not one for any sort of silliness. The only people who saw the lighter side of him was his children and his brother, at the rarest of times. He did not normally play. The man's life revolved around his family. Everything he did was to better his family. His darling children and lovely nieces and nephews. Remus thought of perhaps even joining a pack, but he could not bring himself to do so. The man was not for others usually. He heard of his nephew, Hades, joining a pack even. One named Valhalla. If worse came to worse the man might consider joining. Yet, for now, his paws carried him along the edge of the Fjord. Golden paws met the ground with ease. His form was mostly obsidian but mixed with a variety of gold and alabaster, adorning his fur perfectly. The Olympian was not very focused, but he was always alert. The man had his ears perked and two colored eyes narrowed. But, as pad falls filled his ears, the boy let a brow raise. He looked up to so a russet and white fae slithering around. He stopped for a moment, to observer. After a good minute, his quite deep voice was emitted into the spring air. "Greetings, young one." He was not for much social situations, but he did not wish to be rude.

The voice, albeit an intrusion, did not rattle the young auburn fae. She gazed at the glorious view a moment longer before slowly turning her head to seek out the speaker. "Oh,"
she said, spotting him at last. "Hello there!" Other than that greeting, she really didn't know what else to say. As far as being social went, well, most of her interactions thus far in her life had been someone else telling her what to do. Initiative was still something she was attempting to develop, whether it be decision making about what's good to eat and what isn't, or simply what to say to a stranger. She ended up cocking her head to the left, bright eyes wide and curious. "What brings you all the way up here?" I mean, she was young and nimble. This guy looked old, like even older than Katja! Maybe not as old as Bane, but she hadn't spent much time with the Ebon elder before everything had gone to shit. Should old wolves like him still be out and about doing stuff like this? She didn't know, but she did have an inkling that it would be inappropriate to ask about. She may have been socially stunted, but it wasn't that bad!
