Olympus pack meeting! Deadline to post is June 24th! All members are expected to attend (:

They have not held a meeting for quite some time, and it is most important that they hold one. She is assured that her children are on the tracks to safety, and thus secure enough for her to not fret over them constantly. She fears that the illness that has plagued her little ones will not be the end; that the worst is yet to come. Long limbs carry the Empress onto an elevated perch, and a vociferous summons howls from within her chest.
She reclines, ready to look upon her subjects warmly. There is much news to deliver, to her family and to her pack mates, and she hopes that the response to such news will be good.

Laying a good distance from the den he'd spent much of his time in since they'd left Ebony, Hephaestus still felt a little wobbly around the knees after his bout with the plague. It had been cured, no doubt thanks to his mother, but he still didn't feel quite right. His memories of everything during the illness were foggy and nightmarish, a strange and frightening mix of reality and hallucinations that he didn't like to think on too long... but he did remember fighting, thrashing, striking out to try to get away when they tried to hold him down. He remembered biting, and worse... now that he was well he was horrifyingly aware that the monsters he'd been fighting had been all in his head, that it had been his beloved family he'd been hurting in his madness.

And it tore him apart inside.

His mother's proud call rushed over the land, and Hephaestus pulled himself heavily to his feet despite his depression. He moved toward his mother's den with the intention of helping Gaia to the meeting before he stopped himself. Gaia would be much safer with one of their other siblings helping her. Not him. He'd just end up hurting her too.

He set out on his own instead, and was surprised to find himself the first to arrive. Trying to avoid his mother's eyes, the hefty adolescent slouched down nearby to wait for the others to arrive so attention wouldn't be on him.

A pleased smile touched the russet woman's features when she heard her niece's call. Even in her heart ache and loneliness, it pleased her that there was finally a meeting being called. It was about high time that the proud pack that was Olympus pulled itself together and forged on now that the epidemic had been stopped in its tracks. She pulled herself onto her paws and for the first time in several days moved with a good bit of spring in her step. Ever since Conan seemingly disappeared she had found it hard to convince herself to do much of anything, but maybe this meeting would be just the thing to bring herself out of this darkness. She arrived to see her niece raised up above where the rest of the pack would soon gather. She was glad to see one of Virgil's sons was also there. She dipped her head in greeting to the both of them before settling down on her haunches, hoping that no one would notice how she had begun to thin from her lack of hunting as of late.

She had taken to following her mother by placing her nose upon the woman's rump and listening for varied footsteps. She would usually avoid most any obstacle this way and had come to learn their territory rather well. Natalya had also offered to guide her, and Gaia had accepted. The older woman had done well to boost the young princess's confidence, and it was not long before she could get around the territory on her own.
She would hear her large brother stir, and Heph would not offer to help her as he usually did. The sickness had taken a toll on all of them, but she especially feared for her kind-natured brother. Her steps would follow him as she too took in their mother's call, her paws falling in behind his path.
Ashen form would emerge, she would hear only three wolves breath upon the air as she entered the clearing. She would be drawn to her mother's side, but as the elevation of the ground increased she would halt. Taking a seat at her side, but at the bottom of her hill.

For the very first time, Natalya was entering a family gathering with mixed emotions. She felt excitement at the prospect of sharing her news with her family members. Their family would expand soon and it was always great news to find out that another Olympian would walk the earth. However, the Centurion's excitement was overshadowed by something far worse.

Natalya was nervous, and even a bit angry. She hadn't faced most of the family members since the death of her son, which felt like it had occurred ages ago now. Worst of all, none had offered their condolences. His passing had happened as though it was a normal part of their lives and had been acknowledged less than the death of their food. The she wolf couldn't help but wonder what family meant without sympathy for each other, and it had driven her to question much about her life in Alacritia so far.

Despite her growing number of concerns, Natalya would wander silently to the meeting site and seat herself a comfortable distance from the others, hoping Helios wasn't too far behind. She wasn't sure she could contain her feelings long if he was not at her side.

It had come a time where Hani was again questioning her place in the pack. She had met several members, and yet they all seemed related. Was she possibly the only one left out of the loop? Did all these wolves really believe they came from the gods? If they were wrong, Hani thought, it would mean each were, in some form, mad. If they were right, however, then why were they here? What was their purpose and mission? Helios and Natalya had told her they were an empire, that they were going to get more land, more members, but none of that had happened. Of course there was the plague and Hermes's death, but nothing pointed to any kinds of god for Hani. She was in the obvious minority, though, and kept quiet about it. Part of her really wanted to believe, but another part of her just wanted to forget about these wolves and leave. She couldn't, though, not with her feeling of loyalty and friendship to Natalya.
Natalya and Hani hadn't spoken since Hermes passed, and Hani could't make herself approach the woman. She had always thought of Natalya as the strong alpha of the pack, but with her losing her son, Hani wasn't sure what she would do. Hani was also surprised when another member called the meeting. Cpould she do that? Hani had thought only Helios and Natalya could, but Hani had gone to the meeting regardless. Her thoughts and doubts cleared when she approached, staying at a distance and nodding once in greeting for everyone, not taking note of who all was there. When Hani saw Natalya, her heart broke a bit, and the girl couldn't help but stare for a moment, wishing she could do anything to help the woman who had been her mentor and friend. Realizing she couldn't, though, Hani's gaze hit the ground. It was like she was all alone again, and she was sure Natalya felt the same way, but for different reasons. Hani didn't feel like being at a meeting. Why was there a meeting?

Helios had stuck rather close to Nataly for the most part, he still had jobs to do and was loath to pull himself away from her to do them, but the man was determined not to disappoint. In fact he had been doing a quick patrol of their borders when Virgil?s call had rung out over the lands. Giving the scent marker one last reinforcement he trotted off to answer his niece?s call. As he approached the gathering he thought of what he was going to say.
Then his gaze landed upon Natalya and for a moment all those thoughts were driven from his mind. He brushed against her gently, offering her his moral support before approaching his niece. Helios gave her a slight bow of his head and spoke. ?If you do not mind Virgil, I have some news I would like to share as well.?

The howl that summoned the Olympus members was an unfamiliar one, though that wasn't much of a surprise to June. She had not exactly been a social butterfly since arriving at the border of Olympus territory. And perhaps it was understandable that June had not sought out any other members - they scared her more than she dared let on, these descendants of gods and their followers. And yet, when the call came, she knew that she had to obey its summons. And so June swallowed her fear as best she could and began to pad towards the howl.

As she drew near, June's pawsteps slowed, her nervousness growing at the thought of approaching a bunch of strangers. Still, she forced herself to continue onwards, and at last she found her gaze settling on the rest of her packmates. This was the first time she'd seen many of them - including the golden female who had summoned them there. Still, she kept to the edges of the gathering, settling gingerly back on her haunches a few feet away from the nearest wolves. Her muscles were tense, and June was prepared to flee if necessary. Though she knew that she wouldn't need to run, her body was ready to all the same.

Silently, the brown female listened to the conversations around her, her gaze locked on the only familiar figure among these wolves - Helios, the wolf who had met her at the borders of Olympus lands.

Andromeda had missed a fair amount whilst the sickness had claimed her. Her memories of it all had grown rather fuzzy, drifting in and out of conciousness and feeling generally awful. She was getting better now though, her body regaining it's strength and it wouldn't be long before she was back to her usual ways and relatively unscathed by the entire ordeal. She had come close to dying, felt worse than she ever had before though the first fact the young Olympus was not really aware of.

As her mother's call sounded, the young Olympus had been resting. The voice would stir her from her sleep though and she would make her way over towards it. Gaia had already left, another had apparently come to her sister's aid though Andromeda wasn't entirely aware of the confidence that Gaia had gained whilst her other siblings had been ill.

Soon the silvery form of her sister would come into view amongst the rest of the gathering wolves before their mother. Clearly she had made it to the meeting and still rather eager to catch up with her family once more after all that had happened, the golden girl would move to Gaia's side. Her first meeting she certainly wasn't aware enough of formalities to know that perhaps she ought to have joined the rest of the pack, though she had been a little torn between Gaia's side and that of their recently distant brother Hephaestus.

It had been quite some time since any family members had been seen, for the opaque beast had hidden himself away. He was not of the true Olympian blood line, for more than one reason. He was not born into the descending line of those above him, and he was also as colourless as fresh snow. Pink shone beneath his clear coat, eyes holding no sign of any pigmentation. He was an outcast to his own bloodline, cursed to bare the weight on his scrawny shoulders. He was simply pulling himself from his hiding spot when the call came, vocals that he well knew. Virgil. A smile cracked on his hueless lips, a deep baritone chuckle passing from between them. Perhaps it was time to say hello...

His steps were silent as the tall, lanky form of Apollo easily picked his way towards Olympus. The scent of his family was growing stronger, already few had gathered around the golden demon. They were the same age, the two of them, although they had different parents. He sneered at the other, his coat a welcomed sign within their pack of family. Although Apollo still placed all his faith in the gods, he often wondered why he was given this cross to bare. Hiding within the shadows his gaze flew over his parents, only to flutter back and rest on them. His dear parents, he had said nothing to them when he just up and vanished. His brother was no where to be seen though, and he wondered if he too would appear to this meeting.

His audits flashed forward, rhodonite gaze falling on his father. He spoke of news, and Apollo was curious. After a few pulsed of his heart he removed himself from the shadows, his white coat shining in the light. He stuck out as a sore thumb as always, yet he held his head high as he walked into the clearing. The brute coughed to grab everyone's attention, his sweet gaze landing on his mother. He wished to embrace her, but he stood a bit away from the others so that he could gather their emotions. Would they be happy that he had returned, or would they chase him away? "Hello mother dearest, have you missed me with all due severeness? I have returned at last, and I know that much time has passed." Pausing in his lyrical speech, his eyes once more roamed, this time narrowing at Virgil. They were cousins, but he was wondering if that would keep him at bay from an attack as his entrance stole his thunder.

Flying into the meeting, Nemesis made a beeline for his mother. Swinging from his jaws was a fat white rabbit. Every inch of the boy radiated pride and he held his head high; the white rabbit thumping lifelessly against his chest with each step. Sure, it was only a rabbit, but he'd caught it all on his own AND he hadn't even gone out of his way to catch it. It just kind of ran into him while he was walking, but if anyone asked, Nemesis would leave that part out.

Standing before his mother, Nemesis held his rabbit up proudly, shaking his head slightly so that the rabbit's swing would catch her eye. It occurred to him then that the meeting probably wasn't the time to show off his catch, so with one final proud shake of his head, the boy wandered off to the side. He'd crow about the kill later. Now was the time for manners and whatnot.

Plopping down, Nemesis gently placed the rabbit on the ground, sandwiching the corpse between his front paws so it would sit up. He licked at its ears, brushing them back to it wouldn't look so lifeless. Really, he was beyond proud of his catch; fascinated by his ability to take the life of another creature. It gave him a power he didn't understand and could only grasp at. The hunt and the kill had been exhilarating enough that he was considering asking his mother for lessons.

An all white stranger waltzed into the meeting and Nemesis froze mid lick. The boy stared, eyes glued to the odd wolf. He was all...pink and white...and pink. Like a baby. Even his eyes were pink! The stranger began to speak and Nemesis' ears swiveled in confusion. What was he talking about? A dear mom? Severeness? What? "What's happening, momma?"

Atlas would heed the call of the queen. His niece, Virgil. He had recently come to join the pack, and so this would be his first meeting. With an unwavering gait, Atlas would make his way to the location of the meeting. Bi-colored eyes seeking out the location of the scents that lingered on the winds. He wondered if his sister would be there, and sure enough upon his arrival he would spot her. A small smile would lift on his maw, the male striding forward with a nod towards Virgil and Helios. He would seat himself next to Phoebe, nosing her neck as he muttered something to her. "Staying out of trouble?" He would question her, wondering if she had been up to her usual antics or if there was someone he should know about. He was always close to her, and should someone mistreat her he would rip their throats out. He would turn towards the front, watching and waiting to see what would happen and what this meeting was about.

First to come is Hephaestus, and the Empress offers her son a warm glance. Next to come is Phoebe, who earns a warm yip from the alphess, despite herself. She cannot help the warmth she feels towards family, especially ones who have been long missing from her grasp. Her heiress comes next, Virgil smiling upon the frame of the girl. Oh how her children have grown; they are all so beautiful, and soon they will need to be sent off into the world.
Natalya comes soon afterwards, and Virgil offers her aunt a solemn nod of the head, feeling the grief of Hermes?s loss as well. Alas, she feels terrible that she had been too caught up in the loss of her own children to focus on how it must feel for her Aunt to lose one, but now she realizes. A stranger, albeit one who smells of Olympus, comes next. Helios soon after, requesting permission to say something. ?Of course,? she grants.
So many would come and arrive, and she would greet each, even the unexpected, with a warm sort of look and interaction. Finally, the Empress deems it is time. ?Olympians,? she calls. ?Thank you for answering. Unfortunately I do not bring you all the best of news with this meeting; one of our own, Hermes, has passed. With permission from my Aunt and Uncle, I would like for there to be a service in his honor,? she notes, offering Natalya a saddened sort of smile.
?We will all remember and miss him,? she says, and she means it. The void feels heavy within her chest, demanding to be felt. ?However, there is also good news. We have allied ourselves with Viridiana, the alpha of Covari after she provided us the cure. In turn, I will be speaking with our Oracles about arranging a marriage between one of my children and one of hers,? she informs the pack. Her jaws waver for a moment as she debates what she needs to say next. ?Ebony and Olympus are no longer allies with the departure of Raisa. If any of you have interest in alliances with other packs, please speak up. I will do my best,? she tells the crowd, head then dipping towards Helios to share his news.

A familiar and yet surreal scent assailed his senses as he was waiting for Virgil?s answer, and the russet man snapped his gaze towards the familiar ghostly figure that graced them. The prodigal son returned home. Helios felt such joy in that moment, his lost son finally returned to them, and yet some sadness and anger was there, where had the boy gone? How would news of Hermes affect him? Though his Niece?s words dragged his attention back towards the golden girl and he nods, moving himself off a bit, though not back towards Natalya; despite wanting to.
Helios listened as his niece spoke, her words even and despite himself the male smiled. He may not always agree with some of her choices but in the males own mind the girl was quickly growing into her role. Though his smile dropped at the mention of his son, despite wanting to duck his head and keep the pain already pouring onto his face hidden he forced himself to look upon Apollo, watch the albino?s reaction. The russet man would turn his attention then upon his niece and gave her a solemn nod, a service was all he could hope for and her offering at least gave him one less thing to think upon.
There after the male had little reaction his face remaining stony as he listened; though he neither disliked nor loved any of the news. Then as it was his turn the man found himself smiling, gaze locking upon his mate as he rose to his paws. Facing the pack he spoke, slowly and with a sort of power to his voice. ?Natalya and I are pleased to announce that Olympus will soon be getting bigger soon, we are expecting.? For a brief moment the man would flick his gaze towards Virgil, how would she react?
