The male had been with his mate here before, but they didn't do what he had planned. His paws would trek the iced land once again, his orbs turning to face Esperanza. The last time they were here, Chrono had proposed that they should be more than friends. Something he wasn't sure he even understood. She had told him of her recent demotion in Glaciem, but soon after she came to Tortuga and claimed it as her new home. The two could be together and sure Chrono was happy. He just didn't want to be happy. He ran ahead of the woman, stopping and turning to face her. He waited for her to catch up, whether she took her time or took off with him. But a grin would touch his maw, and it was a true smile. Walk "Talk" Think

Esperanza could remember she had been in this land before. The fragrance wafted throughout her nostrils as her lobes perked forward. Her mate had moved on ahead of her, but he would stop and shift position so he was looking at her; grin plastered upon his maw.

She chuckled and smiled at him, emerald orbs seeing his as she approached him and this time, ran over to him as if they were playing a game of chase. The grass underneath her paw pads shifted and brushed against them, and she smiled when she soon made it to Chrono, toppling him over slightly as she licked his cheek.

"Have you thought about pups?" She would ask him, tilting her head as a smile came across her. She would allow him to think of the topic since they were moving a bit fast as she soon got off of him and stayed in a sitting position.

The fae ran up to him, tripping and falling to him as he let her weight push him down. His mixed orbs connected with her emeralds, grinning as he let a lick to her muzzle. But then she asked him something he was most terrified of. Pups...? The male didn't even know what it was like to have a father, yet alone be one. He couldn't even remember the days he has with Cloud. And of course it scared him even thinking about. It wasn't really about being a dad, but being a good one. Even though he knew he wouldn't abuse his children, he didn't want them think he was an awful father for acting the opposite of his own. "I uhh..." His voice would end in a low, nervous chuckle, "I don't know." The girl would come off his body, realizing it may have been too soon to ask such questions. But Chrono felt all the love in the world for her. It had nothing to do with moving too fast. He rose to his feet, claws scratching on the ice below. He slid gently over to her, halting in front of her and touching his nose to hers. Almost saying he wasn't ready, but someday it could happen. Walk "Talk" Think

Esperanza smiled and nodded in understanding when her mate's nose touched hers as a way of saying he was not ready yet. She understood he had a rough childhood just like her, but she would not push him into something he was not comfortable of doing with her. Her emerald pools showed kindness. "No rush my love," she smiled and licked his cheek.

"Though, if we ever do decide on pups, I know you would be more kind for our pups. And, I would also be there to help you," she spoke as she nudged under his chin and lied down, placing her head on her paws as she looked to the sky.

The brute gave her a sweet smile, glad that she understood. But she didn't understand all that well. Both came from hard pasts, but had completely different outcomes. Either way they were together, and it didn't matter. Chrono's eyes rose with Esper's but he wasn't so sure what she was looking at so his gaze came back to her. He stood for a while, grin still to his face, before coming beside her and looking down to the ice. His paw grazed at the surface, rubbing away the snow on top to reveal a hazy world underneath them. He poked his nose at her, focus still to the ice and placed his paw down showing her what lie beneath them. "It's beautiful, ain't it?" He would say as his eyes came back to hers. Walk "Talk" Think

Esperanza smiled and looked to him with a nod as she looked to see what what he was looking at. Her eyes shown kindness as she licked his cheek. "Sometimes another generation can be better than the generation before; if given the chance," she smiled as she moved the snow away and a little sprout of grass could be seen.

The ebony dame smiled at the beauty around her. Her salmon colored tongue stroked the fur of Chrono's cheek and she could hear the sounds of birds and other animals approaching the territory. Her emerald eyes closed as her ears were erect so she could still hear Chrono if he wished to speak again.

The fae would lick his cheek, a smile brought to his face. But he would watch as she listened to the birds and her eyes would close. His ears pinned in disappointment. He thought she would enjoy the world underneath them, like he did. He would lash his rouge out at her muzzle, pulling back and pointing his ears to her waiting for her to open her emeralds again. Esper always seemed to do more listening than looking, but Chrono wanted her eyes on him. She tried to comfort him a little, tried to say that he could be a better father than his own. But that wasn't helping him. The subject dropped about pups, and so he would keep it that way. One day they may, but Chrono didn't want to think about that day. It wasn't happening now. (OOC: sorry poopy post.) Walk "Talk" Think

Esperanza could sense the tension that she had placed upon her mate. A slight hint of shame and sadness overcame her and she nudged under his chin. She felt horrible that she had hurt him in some way and lied down, placing her head upon her forepaws and closed her eyes, soon reopening them when she saw what he had shown her and she smiled.

"This sure is beautiful," she told him as she placed her right front paw on top of one of his to show reassurance and in some way of an apology. She could hear the sounds of other animals that caught her attention. The sounds of owls making nests inside a tree, and many other animals were sleeping for the night and she gave a slight yawn of her own.

She may have been five, but her age was slightly starting to show as a few white hairs had made their presence known, she knew that one of these days she would no longer be there for Chrono, and with a sigh, she placed her head on her paws once more and watched the world around her.
