Perhaps it was partially that she was one of his younger children, had only just turned a year of age before leaving Ahlon though there was no denying that there was a part of Dutiron that was reluctant to let her grow up. They'd always had a bit of a distance with the first litter but they'd have a far closer bond with the second. Relationships were slowly being repaired but it couldn't help but feel a little like he was losing her again, and in this circumstances that seemed so rushed, it wasn't comfortable for him.
That being said he certainly wanted her to be happy, and though he tried to deny those little glances between the two young lovers, there was a part of him that could certainly seem similarities to his own youth. He'd been lost himself then, no idea what he was getting into but had gone along with it anyway. It was perhaps the only time in his life he'd felt so clueless and yet it had been wonderful falling in love with Novel and spending all of these years with her. He certainly couldn't deny his children that same joyous feeling if it truly was love.
Novel would move forth now to embrace their daughter, Dutiron however would remain stationary though it was clear his features were softening a little more now. He was still worried though with Novel so happy and his own memories now haunting him, it was certainly hard to stay angry or entirely displeased. "I suppose the only question left now then is how soon?" Would it be before the birth of Novella's children, before the birth of his and Novel's as well? He certainly didn't think his wife would feel too pleased about being stuck in the den with them whilst such big events went on outside.
Novella would decide that they would want a ceremony. He wouldn't be able to help the small nuzzle that he left upon her shoulder before Novel rushed forth to embrace her daughter. All of the excitement would almost cause him to be overwhelmed. He'd never experienced such emotions before, and he was oh so glad that it was Novella who was at his side to go through this with him. He would try not to let his eyes fall on the face of her father, he was still unsure of Dutiron's emotions but it was obvious he was loosing the fury seen earlier. Still, he wouldn't want to be caught alone with the man again, at least not until he proved that he would not be leaving his daughter's side.
He would debate about the question that was suddenly given, a question of when they would join as man and wife. Really he preferred sooner rather than later, mostly so the rest of the pack would not look down on them for reproducing so quickly. They only had a few more precious days before it was blatantly obvious that Novella's scent was changing. "As soon as possible, if it's possible." This time he would answer for his mate, hoping she didn't have any qualms.

Her mother had already stated how she felt about the newest union in Ludicael and the revelation of more future Destructions, more excitement that Novella herself was feeling. The idea of officially marrying Frith however was certainly joyful and those happy butterflies would return, certainly excited and definitely unable to hide it as her mother rushed for to embrace her. Her father remained stood back and would question when they wished to wed, Frith would answer and this time she would only nod her head in greeting. The sooner the better, then there would be no more 'why didn't you tell mes' everyone would find out together. There was only one problem she could see with it happening so swiftly, not all of the family in Ludicael were currently present, Song and Canta hadn't yet returned from their travels after all. They couldn't delay for their sakes however, and she simply hoped that her sister wouldn't be too hurt that they hadn't waited.
How soon? A part of the man was somewhat tempted to delay it just in case either were to suddenly change their minds before the news was made official. He knew however that there was little point, looking at them now it seemed unlikely either would suddenly call it all off, they'd both stood before him now, confessed the truth and taken any reaction he had given them. As Novella had pointed out he had to give them a chance and he knew it was better to hold it sooner before Novella began to show clear signs of pregnancy or Novel's came to its end. "Within the next few days. I believe that should be prompt enough." He replied. His mate's nuzzle and excitement would force a small smile to his muzzle. It was something to be celebrated though he couldn't help but have worries still.
Novella would not voice any kind of aversion to his said plan, was she as ready as he was to get all of this over with and on with their lives? He knew that he was ready to be finished with this discussion, the tension was high and even though Dutiron was calming it was obvious they were better off rather far away from the Author. Only a few more words would be said before Dutiron gave a three day time to prepare. Three days and he would call Novella his wife. Everything really was moving so fast, it was rather incredible. He was ready though, his mother had raised him to pass on her legacy, and that's what he would intent to do. He wouldn't want to aggravate the pair any further, after having seen Dutiron's smile smile he thought anything possible. He would again lean affectionately into Novella, catching her gaze quickly before waiting to be dismissed.

Novel would prompt Dutiron for a time line and there would only be a short pause before he replied. A few days, on one paw it seemed like far too long still, growing all the more excited now that there was a day in mind. It wouldn't be long before she could share her news with her pack, not all of it mind but it was still the fact that Frith was her mate, her husband-to-be that she preferred the idea of shouting out for all to here. The children growing within her were still so new and somewhat scary she wanted a little more time with the news as a secret until she was ready to share it.
She had said all she needed to and more and it seemed that the little meeting hadn't gone quite as bad as it could have done. She would take that as a moment to perhaps end it, get some rest after the eventful day, it'd felt much longer than it really had been. "Shall we leave you in peace now?" She would question softly, her gaze looking back to her parents. They too would probably want their rest after all she figured.
Novella would question whether they should leave now and before he could answer his mate would give them a response instead. He wasn't sure he liked her choice of words, feeling that it was in fact Novel that needed the rest more and now Novella it seemed though he wasn't quite in the mood for such comments with that latter realisation and would instead simply give a small nod of his own in response. "Good night." He would respond simply, his soft tones nearly back to normal now. And with that, he would remain at his mate's side, awaiting Novella and Frith to leave before following Novel inside.
Novel would excuse them, her joyful voice releasing them from the bonds that were so binding. Of course he would nod respectfully, leaning into Novella. He was ready that moment, "Good night." He'd echo, and as soon as Novella started moving he would leave them to their den. It seemed like a really wonderful night to spend in their crystal cavern, after all of the stresses of the day curling up next to Novella there would sound perfect. He would take in a deep breath as they finally were out of sight, amazed at how they had come through mostly unscathed. Frith would just hope Novella was doing alright, as they walked he kiss her head supportively. It could only get better from here.

Novella would smile slightly at her mother's comment and suggestion that it was simply Dutiron that needed the rest. She'd likely left him with a lot to think about, that much she knew from her own experience and realisations that morning in fact her own head still had a lot to get around though one thing she was certain of was her love for Frith and excitement now for their wedding. Sleep beckoned now though, exhaustion hadn't yet set in though she got the feeling it wouldn't be long before her body and mind finally gave in and craved sleep.
"Good night." She would respond nuzzling both her parents before retreating to walk beside Frith. Whilst their crystal cave couldn't really be used all of the time she certainly wouldn't have any qualms with heading that way tonight. All she knew was that she was glad to be able to sleep at Frith's side once more and honestly it didn't matter where that was.
