MORE BEAUTIFUL THEN THE STARS

Vi would lean heavily into her wife as they moved to seat themselves outside of the caves, a heavy sigh spilling from Vi's lips. This was it. She was done, they were done. Were they ready for this new chapter in their lives? Vi would glance up to Des and smile softly before removing her weight from her wife's shoulder and tipping her head back. All that was left was to make the final arrangements. A howl slithered and slipped from her lips, calling for Crucifix. He was the last piece in this puzzle after all wasn't he? The one who had almost ruined this picture perfect life she was about to embark on. It would all end with him. They were in agreement, she and Des had discussed it in length and now it was time to set all the plans in action. A smile would fall across her lips as she allowed the howl to die off then look to Desiree. "I can see an island and lounging on a beach in our future maybe. Somewhere warm perhaps??" It all seemed like a dream but there was no one she would rather be dreaming of.

Crucfix has seen little of Vi over the past little while, but her call would summon him now. He had been in the warm confines of his den when he heard the familiar sound of her voice and he would obediently rise and move from the den and into the light of the day. He knew nothing of Vi's plans, and couldn't fathom why she might call him now. He would be within there presence in moments and see that she was not alone. He would smile at the pair, remembering the walk he had spent with Des once, and well he hasn't seen much of her since he knew he had enjoyed that time together and would have liked to have called her one of his friends.
?Vi, Des? he said, nodding his head and smiling at the trio before seating himself down upon the earth and waiting to see why they had called him here. He found his eyes moving to her injured leg, which she had never told him about and he had heard of second hand, and he could only hope it would fully heal and cause her no trouble in the future.

"Doesn't it?" Her words would come as a breath. Maybe an island would be perfect for them to retire too. Yes they were young still but why not spend the rest of their days relaxing and spending it basking in the glow of each others presence. But for now they would deal with the issues presently on hand. Cru would arrive with little to no wait and Vi would smile a bit at him though there was a bit of tenseness hidden in that gesture. Things still weren't alright? But that was why this was all happening right? "Cru Des and I have been talking? Would you take over the pack? A bit more permanently this time?" She would say it simply, easily, not beating around the bush this time. She didn't want to hang around more then she had to, didn't want to be here for much longer. Originally Vi and Des had thought of simply leaving but then had realized that maybe they couldn't just disappear like that. They had loose ends to tie before they could do that.

Crucifix would sit before the queens of this land and Vi would waste no time in telling him why he was called. He would blink in surprise for a moment and his eyes would glance over to Des, she seemed to be sitting out of this and he could tell that this was preplanned, and Vi had in fact said they had talked it over. A million questions flooded his mind but the one at the forefront of his mind was... why? She had power here, she had created this place and brought these wolves here and she wanted to give it up? He winced inwardly then, and began to guess that it might have something to do with her injured leg. Why she had chosen him? Obviously not a personal attachment considering that was gone but Cru had in the past proved he could lead these wolves and they where already familiar with him as their leader even as temporary as the position had been.
?I... it would be my honour Vi, where would you and Des go?? he had a feeling, and the look in their eyes somehow told him they didn't plan on sticking around. He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to put everything in place. He had so much respect for Vi, despite everything she was important to him and the thought of her leaving... would it be forever? He had already locked away any possible thought of romance and his thoughts now where purely for friendship and the knowledge that he no longer had time to repair it.
On top of these thoughts, he considered the pack, he could make it work and he could merge his own pack plans into this one ? he would bring Twig here to raise her children, he would ask Sib to help and guide him since she was strong and already had experience with ruling, more so then he did. ?I'll look after them? he said after the few moments that had slipped by as he pushed all this thoughts into place.
