Something was not right.

Haruka had always believed that she had a strong connection with her brother, stronger than what most siblings had. She was awoken from a light slumber by a feeling of utter dread, her eyes still not used to seeing Bevroren's territory. She had not seen Ritsuka since she left his side and wandered away, but she knew that he needed her now. There was just something off.. The small female raced from her den and leaped over the landscape, her lithe body able to keep a fast pace. It was why she was chosen to be Athena's personal messenger, she was very fast and agile. Staying out of plain sight the tri-coloured beast made her way to her brother, knowing in her gut where he was. It was like there was a thread that attached them to each other, and it was tugging on her, telling here where to go. And she followed it, not breaking her fast paced lope.

His scent surrounded her, and she poked her head into a den. Not here.. Panting the dame followed his scent, picking out his dun firm along the edge of the water. She flinched st his harsh words, her ears pinning to her russet skull. "To fix this." She said, answering the statement that was not meant for her. "My dear Legend, what is plaguing your mind?" She asked softly, coming up beside him and resting her rump on the landscape. Soft brown eyes met his own green gaze, a worried look clouding her face. What could be keeping him here, away from his pack? Did he even want her here, after she vanished yet again? Haruka couldn't help but feel that something in their relationship had changed, and she didn't like it one bit.

He would flinch, head snapping in the direction of the voice. Bloodshot eyes would fall on the russet, black, and white fur of his sister, his heart aching as he saw her. Haruka had disappeared again... And he had left Regium... Tortuga... Whatever the hell that pack still wanted to call itself. His heart was broken, and his mind was worse... So terribly troubled by these nightmares... What might have been visions... Warnings. The tan male didn?t know what to think of it anymore... But his relationships with everyone were failing. Gossamir was gone. He had lost track of Qanik and when this began he... He couldn?t go to her. Haruka had gone again... And now that she returned... It left the tan male at a loss.

She was concerned though, voice so soft. She would come beside him, body resting on the landscape. Such a heavy, heavy sigh would leave Ritsuka?s lips as he shifted, his green orbs meeting soft brown ones. ?Horrors, Epic... Such horrors...? He would let his head lower onto his paws, just barely moved back from the water. ?Visions... Madness... Father?s face... His voice... Mother... Our siblings...? The male let out a heavy sigh. ?...and you... I saw you on the ground... Saw the silloutte of a man... The one that had to be behind this... I?m sure of it...? Suka would close his eyes tightly, gritting his teeth.

?My mind is telling me something... But... I don?t know what it is. If it tells to seek vengeance... Or if it is a warning that danger comes, even here, after us... That he?ll try and hunt you down... Hurt you...? Ritsuka?s eyes would open slightly again, giving a whine as he looked to Haruka. ?Epic... Ease my mind... You are not hiding anything, are you? Information on who the male might be... What he has done... Our other siblings... Do you know their fates?? He was talking so much... But he couldn?t help it.

He looked like he had been through hell in a hand basket, or dragged behind a herd of stampeding elk. In short, he looked like complete shit. She let out a soft whine as she settled beside him, wiggling her form closer to try to provide him with her own warmth. He spoke, and she shivered, blinking her brown eyes to hold back the tears. Her dearest brother was broken and bruised, while she had been out joining another pack. Being away from him was the worst mistake of her life, but Athena had needed her. He spoke of the man to tore their lives apart, and her form shivered delicatly. She hated thinking back to those times, she just wanted to move forward and forget about it all. But her past was part of who she was, and she couldn't just leave it where it was. It had been a terrible event that haunted them both, Ritsuka more than herself.

"Oh Legend, I am right here. I know it was wrong of me to wander off again, but I just couldn't stick around Tortuga. I was being called else where, my paws led me to the North and to Bevroren. Athena needs me there, she handed me a high rank as is." She searched his broken face, her heart shattering for him. She just wanted to erase all this from his mind, to clear it of such terrible thoughts. "But I am safe, and I am protected. Come with me, come be by my side again. Athena is a strong leader, but she needs help. Her father tore her pack apart, dragging most of her members with him." She hoped that this would take his mind off of things, but his next words made her flinch away from him.

Her breaths were ragged as she tried to control her emotions, her body shivering several times. "They are safe, that man has stolen our mothers affections. As long as she stays loyal to him, the pups will be safe. He can't hurt me, I've been training and fighting hard. If he so much as step paw into Alacrita I will tear him limb from limb." She hissed, the promise strong and true. She would gut the man who ruined their lives, who changed everything. "He can't touch me brother, I promise you that."

At least Haruka would settle beside him, giving him the comfort and grace of her presence. He had always envied how sure she was with her decisions, her word. While Ritsuka gave off that appearance, he would question himself, his actions, and what he was truly doing to go forward. He could feel her shivers next to him, and Suka would gently press into her, trying to comfort both her and himself with the touch. It was his turn now to listen to her. His dearest sister would explain how she left, how her paws lead her elsewhere as the call of her heart pulled her on to a new pack.

Bevroren. He would keep his gaze on hers. He was hurt that she had left and joined another pack without telling him, yet at the same time glad. She had made a name for herself, promising she was safe and protected. But the pack she was in needed help, torn apart by a man who should have supported his daughter?s very rule. Feelings would mix as he debated what to do, a sigh leaving his maw. It was not as if he was part of a pack any longer... What did he have to lose?

But he would wait, wait for Haruka?s words and confirmation that their siblings were safe. The damned male that stole their lives, and their mother, ruled her. The pups she bore, so long as she stayed loyal, would be safe. Was that out of his paws? His place was in Alacritia now, wasn?t it? Staying near Haruka... As was their destiny to stay intertwined. A brother and sister, Legendary and Epic, making their names and existences known in this world. She would give a promise though, one that he had truly needed to here. Ritsuka would breathe a sigh of relief, closing his eyes as he continued to lightly rest against her.

?Maybe the problem lies not in the past... But our separation...? Ritsuka would muse quietly. ?...and the fear of losing you... The fear of losing our bond forever. In separate packs divided... I thought... I thought Tortuga was my home... But... So much has changed since my journey here, Epic.? He would keep speaking, his voice soft. ?Tortuga... Was not what I believed it to be. I kept lying to myself... Believing that I could make it a home... But it took my own friends being honest with themselves and others for me to dare open up my eyes. It was no home... And their Queen didn?t trust us in the slightest... My friends... The ones who had stuck by me since our joining day. We all knew it wasn?t home.?

Ritsuka would open his orbs again, looking back to his sister. How their coats clashed, were so different, but they were kin. Never was there that doubt. ?If Bevroren is where you have gone than that is my destination, Epic. Whether it is my longing for you or something deeper that causes these nightmares and horrors to plague me I know one thing; they will never be remedied by us remaining apart.?

She let out a soft breath at her brothers words, her brown eyes searching his face. She knew that she had hurt him by wandering away again, from tearing their connection by stretching the cord so tightly. But she had never cared for Tortuga, she had a feeling that the leader had been fake and a lie. Haruka had a sense for these things, she trusted no one until they proved it. Roman had never proved to her that she was a true and just leader, hence her drive to stay away from that pack. It seemed like Ritsuka had taken a bit longer to open her eyes, but she did not judge her dear brother for that. At times the heart saw what it wanted to, not what was truly before you. When her Legend spoke, the words shattered her heart, making her bury her features in his side. She heaved a much more heavy sigh this time, trying to hide the fact that tears were threatening to fall. He was so lost, and if she had only stuck around to help him through it all. "Legend, you could never lose me. Besides, I'm a strong girl who knows her way around a fight." She said in a teasing tone, trying to see that smile spread on his maw again. She hated seeing him this way, and in her mind it was her fault that he was like this.

His eyes opened and he looked at her once more, Haruka offering him a sweet smile. Her brother had been though so much, traveling here alone and thinking that she would be safe. But she wasn't, and yet she still found her way to him. "Nothing can ever tear us apart Ritsuka. We will always be siblings, and this bond we have cannot be simply cut. It is as strong as sinew, and it ties the two of us together. That is why I came to you today, the tugging on my heart will always lead right back to you." Nuzzling his shoulder, she tried to lighten the mood, hoping to draw away from the dark cloud that lingered above them. He spoke then of following her to the north, which sent her white tail thumping upon the landscape. "You will love it brother, even though the cold takes a bit to get used to. Athena needs our help, and having the two of us there will aid her as well." She was overjoyed that he was going to come with her, no longer did she want to be apart from him.

Perhaps she had misunderstood the entire meaning of his words. He didn?t just mean lose her in the terms of life and death, but he was hinting at their separation as well. At that bond being severed forever, and the two of them lost within this world without the other. Or... Perhaps just him. Haruka had done so well even alone, yet here he was falling apart. Ritsuka feared losing everything again. He had left, yes, but he didn?t expect everything to fall apart right after he left. He would give a soft sigh. Without his family... Was he really nothing? He had been fine... But then seeing Haruka again. Losing her. Getting her back. Losing her again... It played with his heart. He didn?t know what his heart truly wanted anymore save for one thing; to keep his sister in his life.

They had a strong bond as children... And the thought of losing her now... That it could be so close... It scared him. For all he knew she could truly be the last of his surviving kin. If that was the case... They had to stick together all the more, right? His brown ears would prick, listening carefully to her words. Even if they were apart for a while... Their bond was unable to be destroyed. They would be lead back to each other. That, he supposed, was true. It had already proven true three times. Those words would ease his heart, and a smile would find it?s way on his maw. He would give a nod, relief allowing his body to relax some. Her touch, too, was so comforting. He missed their time together.

?A little bit of cold won?t stop me.? He would rise now, some of that determination flickering back into forest green eyes. ?Come then, My dear Epic. I?m sure I?ve got it in me to get there. Things can only get better from here, right?? He?d search for her gaze. They had to. The Legendary and Epic were back together. The unstoppable brother-sister force was reunited... And he?d be damned if something tried to shake that again.
