Alacritis.
It had been more than a year she had been in these lands, disappearing away from them for the curiosity of what lied ahead. She had wanted to explore all she could, and explore she had. The Black Butterfly had spent most of her time in the cold tundra of the North, way North from Alacratian lands. But, she finally came back home, deciding she liked these places the most.
She didn't remember much of who she met before she left, but she did remember a male who had painted on cave walls with her, enjoying the male's presence. She definitely considered him a friend, but what was his name? Sal.. Sal.. Salamander!
Mari would trot into the tundra of Ala, topaz eyes looking around her surroundings. It was summer at this time, and she wondered if she would ever meet the kind hearted Salamander ever again.

Dark boy weaved between the trees of his birth place, head held high, muzzle lifted upwards. A low toned, yet heart felt hum slipped from the boy's lips, spreading forth from his body and filling the area in sweet tunes. Purple gaze looked to the canopy the great trees created over time, even now as a young adult they still seemed to be giants as much as when he was a child. It made me wonder, how long did it take them to grow to that height? It definitely wasn't a few days, that he knew for sure. Months, years? By time he planted a baby tree would it be grown by time he was an old man?

Suddenly a dark figure would break the beautiful scenery, a black wolf moving through the trees. At first Sal would crouch low to the ground, ears up and alert, gaze locked on the unknown figure. But quickly he would realize who the person was, a female he had met briefly in the East. ?Mariposa!? The bark with a grin, quickly picking himself up so that he could spot him behind the small bit of vegetation.

With a large grin the boy would casually make his way over to the woman, held still held high in pride, hips swinging with his tail. "Welcome to my humble abode!" With that Sal would sit before the woman, forelimbs spreading out to the sides and a large goofy grin plastered on his face. What would she think of his home? Would she even remember him?

A call would ring out in the silent air, the obsidian woman recognizing the happy yip of the boy from anywhere. It was Salamander, her good buddy ole pal. "Sal!" Mariposa would say in a happy tone, her tail waving happily in the air.
He would welcome her to his "humble abode", the boy's goofy grin cracking a giggle out from the girl. "It's so good to see a familiar face after returning after a long while, especially your's!!" She would exclaim, sitting back upon her haunches as her tail thumped against the soft earth. "How have you been, Sal?" She would ask him in a soft yet hyper tone, curious of the obsidian boy's adventures. He probably had a million stories to tell her. Mariposa giggled softly to herself and watched him, topaz eyes meeting his violet ones as she awaited his response.

ugh, writer's block out of nowhere >.<

Upon the dark pelted woman calling out the boy's name, Sal would become happier than ever. She remembered him, she remembered! The boy's tail thumped rapidly and heavy against the ground, clearly showing how excited he was to meet up with the woman once again after what seemed like so long. As she spoke it would cause the boy to yip in glee, feeling special that her saying that she was even happier to find him out of anyone that could have been a friend. She even asked how he had been.

To that his forelimbs would drop and settle in front of his body, head leaning left then right with the large grin still plastered across his face. "Sal has been very bored, yes he was indeed." He spoke with a nod of his head, tail slowly down to a calming wag. "He met a guy who liked to do Pawkour, but then he left Sal alone. And other than that... Sal has just been painting and exploring."

It was quite disappointing for him, having nothing fun happen since he had last met the woman.

She would giggle softly at his yips, a smile almost as wide as his appearing on her dark maw. Salamander would speak of his little encounters with others, and describing how he was extremely bored. "Whyyyy is Saaaaal boooored?" She would ask in long and extended tones, giggling softly to herself as she did.

She would try and entertain her old friend, for his own sake. She cared for him, considering the boy a great friend to her. Suddenly she would gasp and a light bulb would pop above her head, opening her maw as she began to speak. "Have you ever seen a real salamander?" Mariposa would question him, remembering that while she was gone, she had ran into a group of salamanders, herself. They were quite friendly like her own friend, the thought bringing another wide smile to the obsidian girl's maw.

At the female's drawn out words the boy immediately stuck his tongue out at her and gave a little shake of his head before slurping it back into his mouth with a chuckle. "Sal is bored because he no meet any cool people silly lady!" He barked with a frown. "I just telled you, duh!" Why couldn't he find somebody that was cool, funny and energetic like him Why did they have to be lame and hide from the boy just looking to have some fun? Meanies, all off them were meanies! Well he would just continue on doing what he did, have fun without them!

Sal flinched when the female suddenly gasped, purple gaze locking onto the woman with a questioning expression. Then his ears perked up when she spoke, which would leave the boy incredibly confused. "Real Salamander? He questioned in an innocent tone, head turning downwards as he brought his front paws up to his chest. "But, I am real, aren't I?" Slowly the expression on his face would go from confused to worry, wondering if he was actually not real and was just a figment of people's imagination.

The obsidian lady would look at him and giggle as he would speak with incorrect manner, sticking his tongue out at the girl. "You silly too. Duh." She said with a laugh as she stuck her tongue out at him, being a copycat in the male's actions.

She would tilt her head in confusion, playing along with him when he asked her if he was real. A real salamander. "I.. I think you're real." She said, pressing her nose up against his and squishing her nose against his own. "Am I real?" She would ask him, topaz eyes wide as Mariposa looked at Salamander with curiosity.

Salamander chuckled at Mariposa when she also called him silly and stuck her own tongue out at him, only adding to his usual carefree, fun loving self. It was nice being around someone like that for once, not having to worry about the other possibly attacking him out of irritation from his antics. He would have to find some way to make her stick around, or at least to remain friends with him if she ended up finding a pack she wished to join for what ever reasons. The boy lifted himself to all four, tail up and wagging in an excited, rapid yet calm-like manner, ears forward and bright purple gaze focused on the woman.

When it came to the Salamander thing the good mood had quickly faded, being replaced with worry and confusion. Was he real or fake, what did Mariposa mean by what she said. The boy would only become even more confused when the same expression appeared on the woman, did she not even know herself? Ears folded back as she stated that she thought he was real, but then why did she sound uncertain? The boy couldn't think too much for the woman had pressed her nose against his own, making him a bit uncomfortable since no one had even gotten that close to him for as long as he could remember.

Mariposa asked if she was real, and to that he rapidly nodded his head while quickly backing away from the woman. Embarrassed, shy? Who knew, all the boy would understand was that he didn't like the close presence of a female by his body. ?Yes yes, Mari is very real.? He finally answered with one more nod of his head. It was then that it hit him, if he could feel her nose on his, then surely he was solid, and if he was solid then he was real. ?Sal is real, but if Sal is real then why was Mari asking if I wanted to see myelf?? His head tilted to the side curiously.

The dark shadow tinted temptress would giggle softly at his reaction when she had pressed her ebony nosr against his, the way he acted bringing a soft smile to her face. Sal was a nice wolf, and he had almost seemed uncomfortable when she had put him on the spot like that. The girl mentally told herself I'm sorry and turned her attention back to the dark male, a small smile upon her ebony maw.

"I dunno, Mari is just weird like that, sometimes." The girl would say with a tilt of her head, slender legs stretching as she pushed herself into a comfortable laying down position, watching the male curiously as if to see what he had to say, orange topaz looking into his amethyst gaze.

Mari's response to Sal's question was that she was weird sometimes, weird, it made the boy laugh. People always called him weird because of his behavior, but he had though Mari was smart and not like him. Were things changing with people? He would quickly shake his head once questions began to form too fast for him to answer them, pushing it aside and refocusing on his plan once he had seen the dark woman. "Hey, Mari!" He barked, tail wagging rapidly and pretty much bouncing in place now. "This is where Sal was born to giant mommy and daddy, looky!"

The boy moved quickly, moving around and behind Mariposa then coming up on her right side, nudging the woman to stand. Not really waiting for her to be back up, Sal bounded forward a few steps before whipping around and looking up to the trees canopy. "Bad wolves take home from family, then not give back." Though his voice was usually friendly and carefree, this time it held a growl. "But now they gone, ha! Those losers!" He quickly perked back up, turning away from the woman and hopping up onto an old fallen tree laying on the ground.
