AS ALWAYS, LANGUAGE WARNING!! <3

I believe the appropriate response to this is 'holy fuck'. Was the first thing to go through her mind when the wind started to pick up, and the rain started driving into her skin like shattered glass. Muttered curses exploded from her maw sporadically as she picked her way down the slope, though with one particularly asshole-ish gust, she was sent sliding down the now frightfully muddy slope with no remorse from the stones buried beneath the earth as she skidded over them. She was sliding down the incline on her belly, limbs sprawled out all around her helplessly. Dual toned optics flew shut as a tree reared up in front of her, and without a second to spare, she just barely scraped by the huge trunk. Literally. Scraped. A sizable chunk of her pale fur was left behind, from where her flank has been raked by the rough bark. Wincing and cursing with renewed vigor, the woman began to slow in her slipping and sliding across the dirt. Of course, she hadn't anticipated the brambles that came out of nowhere. Directly in front of her.
There wasn't time to stop.
Just like that, she crashed head first into the brush and was buried in the sharp branches up past her elbows. And of course, since life wasn't fair, her forelimbs were completely stuck within the grabby branches as well. Where have I seen this before? Asked the sarcastic voice in her head, referring to her first few moments after returning to Alacritia. It had been stormy that day too, and she'd ended up stuck in an old burrow with her ass sticking straight up in the air. Thankfull, someone had come to her rescue quickly thereafter. Hopefully that would be the case today, because she could hear the thunder roaring above her head and was very nervous. Rain pelted her rear, which was still fallen on the ground, back legs sticking out in either direction and her pristine alabaster plume laid out between them. Bad position to be in during her first heat, that was for sure. However, that wasn't her current worry, even if it should be. She called out for help, her shouts interspersed with colourful curses. Today was just not her day, and the tornado brewing in the clouds wasn't about to wait for her to get her clumsy butt out of the bushes. Shelter would be a good idea, and fast. However, that wouldn't be happening any time soon if she didn't get a little bit of help out of her predicament.

His current home in the East had been going alright as he had explored the surrounding lands and met a few other wolves. He knew something was coming when he noticed the stormy clouds, but he really couldn't be bothered figuring out what. He was a simple creature with very little brain and grey clouds were no storm to him. It was all going well until the rain started to fall, soaking his dark ash pelt. If the heavy rain wasn't enough, the wind and thunder decided to join in, howling like an army of wolves. His ears were pinned to his onyx skull and his claws dug into the dirt. The powerful gales could blow away his lithe figure at any moment. With an annoyed growl, he decided to trek slowly, avoid falling down the cliffs and head for shelter. The rain wouldn't give up, and the wind decided to toss in some tornadoes too. Damn. The East was such a lovely place, wasn't it?

He needed to leave these cliffs and fast. He would have to travel inland before he found himself deeper in the storm. Preparing to leave, his ears caught the sounds of another's voice. A girl was shouting for help! He barely heard her faint voice over the gusts of winds, and she sounded as if she had fallen down the cliffs. What was he going to do? Save her? He had his own butt to save, why should he have to save her?

After a moment of deciding whether it was worth it or not, the young man made his way to the edge of the cliff, his paws slowly carrying him down the muddy slope.

This is getting me nowhere! I need to get to her quicker! He frantically thought, next trying to carefully slide down the slope. Swiftly sliding down the slope, he struggled to keep his balance whilst he built up speed. Dodging the rocks and brambles in his way, he followed the voice.

"Don't worry, I'm coming!" He called out against the pouring rain, hoping that she was somewhere close by. The ebony man awkwardly lost his balance, slipping on the mud. He fell on his rear, sliding down in a sitting position with his forelegs in front and his hind legs splayed out in the mud. Fortunately, he travelled a few feet before coming by a soaked ivory creature stuck in the brambles. Her rear and hind legs stuck out from the bushes whilst her head was buried deep in the sharp branches. She was a larger wolf than he, but that didn't matter. He had to get her out, or he won't be able save himself.

"I'll help you!" He assured her, though he didn't think he would be able to get her out. But he couldn't just stand here and think of a way to get her out, he had to act now. His teeth would try and tear away the branches by her head, making sure no harm would come to the lady. The foul taste of twigs and thorns ached in his mouth as he continued to pull out the brambles. Ripping the limbs away savagely, he worked his way around her head, until most of the branches had been torn away. The branches scraped his jaw, leaving cuts and scratches but he didn't care. He had to get her out.

There was a faint voice calling above the howling wind and whipping rain, but she couldn't tell if it was someone looking for her, or someone coming to help her. However, once someone started tearing through the branches about her head and trying to free her, she was assured of the latter. She wriggled against the lessening entanglements, but to avail. Shouting over the rain, she tried to stop her rescuer before he could injure himself doing something pointless. "It's not going to work!" She bellowed over the rumbling thunder overhead, and the wind screaming through the trees all around them. "You're going to have to pull me out!" She continued, her voice nearly going hoarse with the volume she had to force through her jaws. "Just grab hold of my tail, and pull!" She instructed through the brambles all around her head, lifting her rear into the air and holding her tail level with her spine. She hated having this happen, but there wasn't time to tear apart the bush to get her front half out of it. Her stomach and side had lost some fur from her little slip and slide escapade down the hill, and she was about to lose a good bit of the ebony and ivory derma upon her banner.
With a sigh, she braced her forepaws in the muddy terra beneath her, and waited for the male to grab hold of her ass. Really not a good predicament when she was in her first heat, but it was too late now. The tornado was getting ready to touch down, she could feel it in the air around her, and the lightning had her body crackling with electricity. Squeezing her eyes shit, and flattening mismatched audits against her skull, the woman let out a few grumbled curses and prepared herself. It wouldn't be exceptionally painful, but that didn't mean this was going to be pleasant in any way. Not with the rain also adding it's two cents in driving needle sharp pains into her arrow marked rump with the driving rain. This is why I should just stay in the orchard from now on. It's nice and fruity smelling there, and there aren't fucking storms and things for me to get stuck in. The voice in her head complained, and there was a pause. Okay, not as many.

It wasn't working. Tearing through the brambles only took time. And they both didn't have time on their side. The dame instructed him to grab hold of her tail and pull her out. Without hesitation, his jaws would clamp around her tail, yanking her weight out of the bushes. She was heavier than he expected, but that didn't mean he couldn't pull her out. After tugging her out of the sharp brambles, he would release her tail and his eyes would drift to the forming tornadoes. Great. This was going to be one long adrenaline-pumping run. His amber glow flickered to the cliff side. They both wouldn't be able to climb back up. His gaze next locked on the water below. That was their ticket out.
It was a dangerous and stupid way out, but the man lived his life dangerous with stupidity.

"We have to get to the water!" He told her before going ahead and sliding down the slope once more. He didn't have the time and effort to see if she was coming along with him, but he hoped she was. He only wanted to get himself out though it would be bonus if he got himself and a pretty lady too. But for now, he concentrated on sliding his way to the water. In a heartbeat, he lost his balance again, toppling over to his belly and skidding into the freezing water without realization. In short and painful moments, his head reached the surface and he gasped for air. The cold water just made it even worse. And besides that, swimming was not one of his strong traits. The shivering, scrawny man looked around whilst bobbing in the water. To his left the waters led out to sea and on his right the waters seemed to be traveling inland. He could swim his way to the smaller rivers, or find shore where he was. Already worried about himself, he searched for the female. Had she come with him?

speech,

OOC: Oh the sarcasm and cursing...

It wasn't long before a pair of jaws clamped down on her tail and yanked mercilessly. She was freed, but at what price? No doubt her lovely fur would be full of brambles and thorns for the next three months, but at least she wasn't about to be sucked up into a random tornado. Scratch that. Yes she was. The torrential downpour didn't seem to be enough, because, no, there had to be a funnel of swirling, violent winds descending from the heavens. Fucking fantastic. She looked to her saviour, a male only the slightest bit smaller than her, though he could have been smaller, but the heavy winds whipping his coat about made him look fairly large, despite the rain. At his command, she could only stare at him, absolutely flabbergasted. "WE'RE GONNA DO WHAT?!" She shrieked, but the male was already sliding down the incline and heading straight for the water. Yes, what a wonderful plan, fling themselves into the frigid water and just hope the tornado didn't decide it was going to touch down in the water and hope as well that the fucking hurricane didn't dunk them under the water the first chance it got. Brilliant. Inspired, really.
However, with no hope in the high heavens of outrunning a damned tornado, that seemed to be her only option now. With a grumbled string of profanities, she followed reluctantly after her saviour. It took very little time for her to end up tumbling into the freezing water, and the waves battered her back and forth relentlessly. Yes, this was the best idea ever had by anyone in the history of the world. Good job, what's your nuts. Her internal monologue complained while she struggled to keep her head above water. Looking about, she found the bobbing head of the ebony male, just a little ways away from her. He looked concerned, probably searching for her, so she let out a loud bark, hoping it reached him over the crashing thunder and waves.
The alabaster femme wasn't about to wait for the male to reach her, she wasn't in the mood to tread the angry sea any longer than necessary. Without further thought, she headed off for dry land. Okay, mostly-dry land. Okay, dryer-than-the-ocean land. She just had to skirt around the coastline, and find somewhere to shelter until the storm ended. That's it, just a cave or old burrow (one that she could actually fit in this time), and hole up until this died down enough to travel again. Fuck, why must she always get caught up in this crap? It was exhausting.

We're gonna do what?!

Yeah like you could think of something better!

He didn't really care if she followed or not and he half expected her to just stay there on the slope, cursing as much as she wanted. He'd love to sit around and just yell about how this was so wonderful but nope, he had his tail to worry about. A faint smirk would come to his maw as he listened to her protests. He wiped it off as he heard the echoing splash. Coming or not, they both had to search for shelter, any sort of cave on the coastline would do. The female had the same idea as him, heading for land. Struggling as he padded to the shore, he pelted across the cold ground, anxious ember optics searching for a cave amongst the slope. In an instant, his eyes met a den-sized cave, big enough to fit himself...and the girl.

"There's shelter!" He would yell out as the winds grew dangerously stronger and louder. Without wasting any precious moments, he found himself in the cave, waiting for the dame to join him. If she could reach him.

Louder than the pouring rain and screeching winds was his own pounding heart that couldn't slow down. He was far from relaxed.

OOC: Sorry for late post! Like, really sorry!

Hauling her waterlogged frame back onto the shore, she fought the urge to shake the salt water out of her coat. What good would it do now, anyway? The obsidian man was already galloping across the landscape in search of somewhere to hole up for the duration of the tornadoes and the worst of the hurricane. His voice rang out, considerably dimmer than the thunder rumbling overhead and the wind howling all around her. As well, with her mismatched audits pinned against her skull, she could hardly hear anything. However, wonder of wonders, she managed to hear the vaguest part of his hollered words. Shelter. Thank the gods. Without a second to think it over, she hurtled across the rain slicked ground and slipped into the cavern.
Safety felt pretty damned good, albeit it was quite a tumultuous kind of safety. A change in the direction of the wind could drive that rain right in here with them, and who knows, maybe this little cavern wasn't very deeply rooted into the earth, and a powerful tornado could tear it apart and take them away? These thoughts were far from her favourite things to have running about in her head, but it was going to take a lot to ease this stress. It took a moment to realize she was pressed up against the soaked pelt of another, but when she did remember the presence of the ebony male, she offered a small smile. "Thanks for, uh, saving me back there." She chuckled, expression weak. She was exhausted, and really just wanted to sleep. Her muscles screamed, joints groaning. However, there would be no sleep for some time, as it looked.

There wasn't much left to do, really. The female had safely made her way into the tight cave in one piece. It wasn't much for shelter, especially in this weather. They both could still be stranded along the shore of the cliffs, with the hurricane and tornadoes chasing behind them. But they weren't, thankfully. He never realised saving someone's life could be so...exhausting and time consuming. At least the dame thanked him, that was all he needed.

...And some sleep. A lot of it.

"Don't mention it." The young man would sigh, returning the small smile. Saving pretty ladies in drastic and life threatening storms wasn't his field of expertise, and he surely wouldn't recommend doing it again. Weren't there easier ways to rescue others? Getting someone out of a bramble bush isn't that hard...but in a frickin' storm?

"Looks like we ain't gonna get much shut-eye now," He stated quite bluntly, shuddering as the storm progressed with a path of nothing but destruction and rain. Bronze eyes would look up to meet the woman's bright embers. He continued with a faint flirtatious tone. "May I at least know the name of this beauty?"
