Adalgisa was sick, and confined to her den for the most part. Solas wanted to stay by her, wanted to stay by his sister and make sure she was okay. But instead she had insisted he go out and meet other family members and to avoid getting sick. She was just like him though, they wouldn't warm up straight away. It was easier then strangers, but Solas himself was not exactly thinking his existance was needed unless he was serving someone of the noble bloods. After all, he was a damn bastard child. That was why he and his sister had such a horrible life. His other siblings the two larger ones, he wasn't sure what they were doing. But here in Ebony Solas really only had one purpose, to train, to fight, and protect the royal family.
The male was sitting near the lake, the yearlings eyes watching his own reflection in the water. Solas had not many thoughts really, he was simple, and stoic. That part of him pissed a lot of others off at times. Only those close could tell his subtle movements to his emotions. He was a very physical man, with a voice made of stone. His heart might as well have been the same if it weren't for the undeniable feeling of duty he had for the rest of his better family.

Valeriya came upon Solas quite suddenly. He appeared to be in deep thought. Meditating perhaps? She did not wish to disturb him but gods above was she covered in filth. The young queen had taken a tumble while hunting, and had paid for her gracelessness by landing in a cesspool of sludge. She could only hope he would be distracted enough to not notice her as she slipped into the water, no notice her until she re-emerged clean and more queenly than she woudl currently appear. Appearances didn't matter to Valeriya the Wild Child, but they did matter to Queens. The water was cold, brisk as the evenings were growing chillier, but she did not let it deter her. She would writhe about below the surface, feeling the penetrating liquid scour her fur and skin.

Emerging, she was quite sodden. She belatedly wondered if this would really be any better. A small giggle escaped her lips and the auburn fae realized she probably looked ridiculous. "Good afternoon, Solas," she called out, announcing herself and owning the drowned-rat get up as only she could.
