Weary paws, had led her back to her forest, finally. She had paused at its border, taking in a deep breath. She felt a mix of emotions, at the fact that she didn't scent her- no, Azalea's pack here. Why had they given up such lush land? She was confused, and also insanely grateful. She entered the shade the trees provided from the obnoxious sun, while taking a deep breath. The trees smelled the same as they had when she had left- the smelled like home. She wondered, if she'd ever reclaim her home- her throne? Did she even want to anymore? She remembered events that had passed here- betrayals of wolves that she hadn't expected. Each had cut her like a knife: August, Qanik, Ritsuka...and so the list went on. Then she'd lost her children here in the depths of this wood. The memories were bittersweet.

Grief stabbed into her gut like teeth, but she kept pushing forward. She moved past those sights that were once like a welcome home with an air of sadness. She had lost so much, and one of those things-perhaps waited for her here. She let out a low howl, calling Greek to see if he still remained, and she paused to wait. She wasn't sure if anyone else had heard her tones, and honestly- she nearly prayed that no one else would come. Could the fallen queen grieve in peace, for the crown she had passed on? She sank to her haunches, her tail wrapping around her paws, as she stared ahead with dull violet eyes, waiting and watching.

Everything was falling smoothly into place but the young man was not going to drop his guard. There was still a chance that another wolf could traipse upon his freshly claimed terra before he had a chance to establish it's scent and sweep it out from under him. Anyone that dared though had best be prepared for the fight of their life. Drashiel would not readily let Fehu slip through is paws. Drashiel grinned to himself at the word, a word for prosperity. One he'd learned in the wilds from an old warrior. A fallen general. The elegant male was happy to learn from the mistakes of others if it meant he would make fewer of his own.

Drashiel was taking a quick trip from his precious new terra to traverse the paths of nostalgia. Something was pulling him here though he couldn't quite put his paw on it. And then he heard the mournful howl. Drashiel's heart raced. Roman?! Pulsing limbs pushed him through the forest, his honed body maneuvering through the terrain with elegance and strength, slowing just as he saw her.

"Roman? by the stars above?. is that you?"

With every passing moment, her heart grew heavy. Surely, if Greek had waited on her- he'd come quickly? What if something had happened? She stood, slightly trembling at the tumultuous thoughts that ravaged her mind. She flinched, as another spoke- and took a deep breath, before she faced the speaker. In that breath, she realized two things- that it was her half brother, Drashiel.... and she realized... just how much she missed him. Emotion flooded through her, as she took him in- her mouth parting, but no words left her. Seeing, Drashiel- meant she was really home. She loved Athena, but she hadn't felt like she was home- like the belonged here, until she looked at her younger sibling. "Drashiel." She breathed, her tail fanning behind her slowly.

Her eyelashes fluttered over her dull violet eyes, as took a faltering step towards him, and froze. Would he forgive her for vanishing? Would he hate her for it? She was unsure- and her perplexed look showed on her face, as she waited, for him to say something- anything.

Something was wrong? Roman seemed so lost and very concerned. What in the blazes had happened? As she turned to him she stared in shock and he smiled softly. "Yes, it's me. I'm so sorry? It took me awhile to realize that my destiny lay back in Alacritis." She took a step toward him and his ears perked forward, eyes gazing curiously at her before he took those next steps to close the gap himself, reaching out to nuzzle her. No, they were meant to be close. True it had been a few seasons since they'd been together but he would not let them grow distant, not if he could help it. Not like what happened between him and S'alkrie.

"Roman, are you alright? Has something happened? You look worried."

He spoke, and that shattered the feeling of a dream that she was stuck in. She blinked rapidly, trying to take in his words. He'd come home. He closed the gap, between them- nuzzling her and she sighed into the contact- and turned her own muzzle, nuzzling it into his neck. She took a deep breath, and inhaled his scent. It was like coming home. Smelling him- touching him, made Alacritis real to her, but it also made her grief real- from all that she had lost. With his final question, she trembled- the damn of all her emotions threatening to collapse. The tremble was violent, it shook her body- and she stepped closer to him, pushing her body into his.

She'd lost everything.

She'd lost her pups, her, whatever Faust was, her pack, her friends, her pride, Greek- and all those broken emotions never were let out. She'd lost everything- but Drashiel. He was here. He had come back to her- he was here. She's terrified of letting her emotions out, but she doesn't want to hold anything back from him. She doesn't want to lie to him. "Don't leave me." She whispered- it was an actual plea. She wouldn't survive he if left her. She didn't know how to explain everything- she didn't want him to think her weak- but she longed to explain the things that were destroying her. This close to him, she thought she could almost hear his heart beating in his chest- or was that her own? She'd try to control herself, to answer his question- taking a few hectic breaths, that were filled with his scent. "I was looking for Greek. I've lost everything... I can't lose him too." She bit out, her tone desperate.

Drashiel took in her scent and her warmth and he felt his heart flutter as he realized how much he'd missed her. It had been far to long since they'd been together. Drashiel felt a stab of guilt to see her in such shape and he almost dreaded the answer to what had happened. It was so unlike her to seem so weak. No, this state was not suitable of a woman who took on a mother polar bear to protect her younger brother.

"Don't leave me."

His stomach turned at her words and the wait of emotion. He could only imagine at what had befallen her. "Never, I won't leave you again. Death would have to wrest me from your side before I abandon my family." She spoke again about losing everything. He knew the pack was gone but he did not know what else had happened and he didn't want to bring upsetting memories back to the surface. Greek? he couldn't remember Greek. What was that?

"If you ever need to talk, know that I'm here for you and I will help in any way that I am able. This Greek?. tell me about them. I will help you find that which you've lost. You will grow strong again, dear Bear Fighter and the world that has treated you cruelly will tremble at your fangs."

Drashiel's mere presence did so much for her. His scent grounded her, and she took it in- her letting out a deep sigh. As she spoke, she took his words to heart- she couldn't lose him again. "We have to stick together." She whispered. For whom else in their family could they turn too? Father was gone, and even then he hadn't been much a security blanket. Isardis had been many things, and had pushed his favorite children to be ambitious. He'd left them with one hell of a legacy to stand up too. Drashiel spoke again, and asked who- what Greek was. With a wry laugh, she pulled back to look into his eyes. "You never had the um... pleasure of meeting him, hmm?" She said dryly.

She laughed slightly, her emotional moment lost as she thought of Greek. "Greek is fossa. He's grayish brown, and quite rude. He's... my companion- and one of my best friends. I left him.... when I left Regium, and I thought he'd wait for me, but I haven't found him yet." She finished, her brow furrowing. She couldn't via for a crown if she couldn't find Greek. She needed his advice. Drashiel had called her bear fighter, and she remembered fondly, the time she first met him- and had protected him from a mother polar bear. She still had the scars to prove the encounter, a feat she didn't want to relive. "It's been a long time since I've had to save you from a bear, Drashiel, but know this- I'd start wars for you still." She said seriously. Perhaps, it wasn't a needed comment- but she felt moved, stirred even to pledge her loyalty to him. They needed each other.

Drashiel was quiet as she spoke but he nodded when she mentioned they should stick together. He couldn't agree more. There was no one he'd ever really felt closer to than Roman? except maybe Lysis but they had drifted apart and now Roman was really the only steady, positive proof of his past. Drashiel shook his head. "No, I don't recall Greek?" He felt a sudden pang of jealousy as he wondered just who this Greek was and what his relationship was to Roman? and where the fuck he'd wandered off to. Wait? fossa? Drashy's head tipped to the side. "What the heck is a fossa? I don't think I've ever heard of such a beast." Though secretly he felt relieved. Whatever a fossa was it was not a wolf.

"Hmm? I see what you mean by rude for him to just wander off like that. Was he some sort of pet?" Drashiel was slowly scenting the air for anything? amiss. He did not know what a fossa smelt like but he was fairly certain he could sniff out something that unusual from the scents he equated with normalcy.

"It's been a long time since I've had to save you from a bear, Drashiel, but know this- I'd start wars for you still."

Drashiel felt his stomach tense in the sweetest of ways at her shift in tone as well as the words she spoke. There was something there between them, something more than the bonds of being half-siblings. He could feel it like electricity even if he could not bring himself to name the feeling. Emerald eyes sought her own jewel-colored gaze. Drank her in as the moved. It had been a long time, and he was far from an innocent, naive little boy. "Roman? If you asked it of me, I would give you my life. I would tear asunder any that hurt you or die trying. I would see you a Queen again! Fierce, proud and unbent. And whenever you need someone to lean against in times of trouble look no further than me."

Drashiel almost missed it, that unfamiliar scent that just passed his nose, so intent was he in gazing into the worlds in his eyes, the thought of diving right into them. "Roman? I do believe I've picked up the trail of something."
