The day Sibelle went missing and the pups required round up he had been tense and barely there, that night when he still had not found her and brought her home to them he would return to the cave and relieve Twig of the duty of watching them. He had always loved having his sister in the pack, but in this moment she was priceless, here for him in a crisis and able to watch the new young that had come into his life. He gave his sister a kiss against his cheek and watched her for a moment as she walked off to her own den, filled with her mate and kids, and felt another stab of worry for Sibelle. He pushed it aside, she had left him with these three lives to care for and he dared not show his worry in front of them. He moved into the den and took a seat on the earth, all the pups had managed to fall asleep after their little adventures in the big outside world without a guardian to supervise them.

He worried painfully after Sibelle, but it helped him to see them so peaceful as he curled up beside them, taking pains not to wake them, but knew he was likely to fail as he curled his tail up around their little forms and moved his mass in behind them, giving them his warmth and protection.

She had been exhausted upon their return to the den. Her father seemed upset as he rounded them up and left them with their Aunt. She had obeyed, unsure of her fathers mood. Plus, her mother had been missing. She had woken with her siblings when their mother left the den that morning, but the day hd long passed and her mother had still not returned. Sleep had claimed her along side her siblings, until her father entered their den. She had been unaware of his presence until he curled around him, jostling them ever so slightly. Eyes would flutter open sleepily, looking around the den before finally resting on her farther. Her head would lift, a yawn parting her tiny jaws. She would stretching, muscles quivering. "Wheres mama?" She would mumble, eyes fluttering close as she pressed into his side, struggling to stay awake. Her body begged her to go back to sleep, but she longed to know where her mother was and why she had not returned home yet. Her siblings shifted around her, each starting to wake at their fathers sudden presence. They all wanted to know where their mother was.

Little Illaria was stretched out, her tiny figure seeming long and thin as she lay on her back, her belly in the air and her little paws twitching, clutching at invisible prey as a small smile wound its way through her black lips. Her thin tail found its way onto Ravenna and gently tickled at her chin as her nose pushed into Kieran's chest, nuzzling into the warmth offered to her pink nose there. This was how she lay when their father scuffled silently into the den, warm, stretched out and content. It wasn't even his presence or movements that woke her as he shuffled about and rearranged them in tiny movements until they where all cuddles in together. It was the voice of one of her siblings that would twitch life into her eyelids as they blinked open, finding her sister, prepared to give her a gentle kick with her back legs to tell her to hush, she was sleeping. Instead, she was realise she was speaking to her father, and with a twitch her back legs would not touch her sibling. Instead, she let one eye filly open and peered at the two awake bodies in the sea of four.

Ravenna's question was a very good one, and she also wanted to know the answer. They weren't use to going so long without their Mother, and definitely not a whole night without her added warmth. She couldn't imagine what might have happened to keep her away from them. She flipped over, slowly, careful not to give her siblings a kick as she proped herself on her chest and peered at their father, waiting for the answer.
