A year or so had passed since Maija had spent time with Freya one-on-one. The shock of it was new and ran over Maija like waves. She workd through it as she progressively walked from Arcanum to the unclaimed shores of Obsidian Beach. The wolves that had recently been there to visit the serene location were now gone, scents faded by time and the salty sea air. The latter made Maija's stomach flip and the desire to upchuck her breakfast flashed across her senses. Fortunately, she had a strong nerve despite her pregnancy, so she fought the urge and continued to walk towards the sandy shore.
Her golden paws slipped into the black sand, immediately swallowed by it as she let her whole body weight remain still. A soft sigh slipped from her lips and she let down her guard for only a few precious minutes. Leaf-green eyes shined with an emotion that hadn't been seen in quite awhile. Content...a feeling she had thought was abandoned when Taurig had disappeared. Instead, it had come back and swallowed her whole after giving her the unborn babies in her womb and the new man in her life. If she could only have her grown babies with her all the time, then she would be good.
Thoughts pushed aside from the past as Maija began to think of the future. As she thought, she began to walk towards the water's edge. The waves were reaching the higher points of the shore, meaning high tide was currently in play. Golden paws, recently making nearby sand rise and fall, touched the cool waters and relief swept across Maija's golden, pregnant form. Eyes closed and she felt the summer winds sweep through her fur and across her skin. If she ended up dying right now, she would die a happy golden bitch.

Freya had to get away from the orchard, at least for a little while. Golden paws carried the small girl across landscapes she did not know. Scents she did not recognize drifted in and out of her head, emeralds scanning for familiar plants. Then a scent she knew struck her. Freya lifted her head, aware that she was close to the shore. A gold shape stood out among the black of the beach.
Changing her course the small girl trotted off towards her mother. "Try to get your paws on some Motherwort, it?ll help." The girl offered as she pressed into her mother?s side. "I missed you Momma."

Freya's appearance was welcoming and it was evident upon Maija's physical features. Her smile was warm and she leaned against her mirror image that pressed against her pregnant frame. "I will have to be reminded of what Motherwort looks like," she admitted. A soft chuckle escaped her lips as she watched Freya with fascination. "I have missed you too, my dear sunshine."
Her leaf-green gaze shimmered as she took in how much Freya had grown. She was lovely and her personality seemed like the lighter scale of her siblings. Maija thanked her lucky stars that she had such a positive light amidst the darkness of her own soul. "What have you been up to, my dear? Tell me everything."

Freya giggled and nodded. "Long square stem, small purple-white flowers. The leaves are kinda hard to explain? like a lizard track?" The girl rattled off, doing her best to remember what she had taught herself. As her mother expressed her own affection the girl, grinned up at her. The small golden girl kept one leg pressed against her mother?s leg though she was not going to press into the woman again, not while she was pregnant anyways.
"What have you been up to, my dear? Tell me everything.? Freya nodded but remained silent for a moment, her tongue poking comically from the corner of her mouth, as she gathered her thoughts. "I?ve been trying to teach myself herbs, but it?s kinda hard." The girl admitted though her voice remained as cheery as ever. "I wanna join you Momma, in the pack." This time her expression dropped. " But you hear things? I?m not a fighter, I?m small and don?t like the idea of hurting anyone."

The sweetness that immediately fell from Freya was enough to make anyone evil feel sick. Maija, on the other hand, was feeling sick at almost everything lately, except her daughter. She couldn't help but feel proud that her youngest from her first litter wanted to improve herself, something she had wished could have been encouraged when she was young. "Whatever you work for, my love, it will pay off in the long run." Oh, how true that was.
Freya then told her a desire that had been kept hidden from her mother's knowledge. Join Arcanum? Would such a dire place be a good home for her dear daughter? Maija knew she had a backbone, even if she didn't show it a lot. An endearing smile appeared on her face before her Romanian tongue moved. "You are more than welcome to join Arcanum, my treasure," she softly said. "You really don't know how much we need a Healer right now...I am sure Cataleya would not oppose you becoming one of us."
Freya voiced her fears of having to fight and Maija gently shook her head. "You won't have to worry about fighting, Freya. Cat and I will encourage you to learn defenses, just in case something happens. I don't want you to not know what to do." Maija then deeply inhaled, showing the bulge more than ever. "You do have two marvelous bloodlines running through your veins...I wouldn't want to see it spilled." Her eyes flashed, but they were soft and showed the concern that she had for her daughter's wellbeing. "If you want to come back with me, you are more than welcome."
