Winding and weaving she moved around the trees like a serpent. Quiet as she glided across the grass, her movements so precise and calculated. The mind of the eagle goddess was bubbling with plans and irritations. They'd been chasing that dam Tsanka wife all over creation and now to a new continent. She'd split up from her charge Sigmarr but she trusted him to do his best to retrieve the captive. He was her protege after all. In the meantime she found herself growing bored. Tracking this captive could take months and it was unlikely she'd be able to drag her back before the winter blocked the passage north.

Head dipped gracefully to the earth as she sniffed the border of a pack. Hmm?. this seemed promising and the terra was nice. Aernd?s tipped her head to the sky to howl for the alpha. Seemed she'd be stuck her for awhile, maybe she'd be able to find a decent home.

Things had started to go well for Solstice since Qanik had joined his ranks, but he had sent her off on the diplomatic mission a few days ago and he was yet to see her return. Of course, finding out which packs where new and walking all the lands of Ala to talk to them wasn't the quickest of tasks to have set her in the first place. He ensure her pups where well taken care of and that Orchid stayed in the den with them and kept an eye on their well-being. This was all he could do in the moment and he found himself restless. He and Sibelle had made up, which had been long overdue and the pleasure of feeling like she was his mate again left him feeling elated and strong.

He was wondering the borders of Weeping Woods when the call came and he didn't have long to walk before he was before the stranger that has summoned him. They didn't get new members very often in Solstice, despite the need for numbers to bulk up their ranks. He took a minute to take in the stranger, she didn't smell like any of the surrounding packs and her coat was a unique, interesting shade of browns both light and dark. He looked into the deep blue eyes she boosted and smiled, nodding his head in greeting. ?Welcome to Solstice borders, i'm the Prima here, what brings you here?? he asked pleasantly.

Aernd?s examined her environment while she waited, taking in the trees and the creek that flowed through the terra. It was surprisingly peaceful here. A bit too much so for a warrior such as herself but even she wasn't so hard-headed that a place such as this appealed to her wander-weary bones. The woman stretched light, lithe frame undulating as she worked out the kinks in her shoulders. Being stationary brought he ache back and she realized now how sore her paws were. She hoped this went well and she'd have a place to stay.

A short time later she was greeted by a handsome, unusually marked male. Her eyes lingered on the unusual cross-mark on his right forelimb. She too bore a mark, a scar on her left foreleg from when she'd been claimed but her heavy winter coat had grown in, hiding it. The fur parting oddly when she moved being the only sign that she'd once been marked a slave.

The gladiator was curious about the males own mark, wondering if it was a birth mark or some sort of dye in the fur. She turned to him and smiled, head bowing in respectful greeting. "Master Prima, I am Aernd?s Thyre. A gladiator of Rhesia looking for a new home. Have you any need for warriors?"

The stranger would return his greeting with polite tones and a bow of the head. ?Greetings Aerndis? he replied warmly, his ears shifting in interest as she spoke of being a warrior. ?in fact, a warrior is exactly what we need. If you can prove dedication to Solstice you will climb the ranks easily ? we have spaces that need to be filled by warriors? he would admit, wondering at the change in his luck. First Qanik, and now this stranger both of which called themselves warriors. He already knew Qanik was capable if this one could prove so as well then he would not need to stress so wholly over Arcanium and what they might do next. With this new recruit in his ranks, he had Qanik her and Odette, and that did not even include himself and Sibelle ? okay, so it wasn't an army but it was a start and a number that could defend Solstice and their young if they needed to.

He would go on then to explain something of Solstice's ranks. ?Duellator is our general fighters, you will start there, where Praedator are our elite fights, there are also some higher ranking positions available to work your way towards if your so inclined? he would explain.

Aernd?s grinned, unable to hide her pleasure. It seemed the first pack she'd manage to pick was one that happened to be searching for warriors. She couldn't have timed it more perfectly if she'd tried. She listened as he spoke and nodded as he did. She would begin as a Duellator and she certainly had the ambition to go higher. She wanted to be at least a Praedator, for she was an elite warrior, there was no question about it but she'd have time to prove herself.

"Thank you, Prima. I do intend to show you my value you as a warrior and work my way to becoming one of the elite but in the mean time I am quite tired. I have journeyed many days to get here so if it's alright with you I'd like to go rest."
