Her sleek russet form crossed over the soft ebony sand, the grits matting in her long fur as she continued to walk down the beach. Her agile body crossing elegantly across the obsidian sand she landed at the edge, looking out towards the glistening waters. Her russet fur looked like a burning coal, a fire in a pit of black against the surreal looking beach. Jet black audits swiveled back and forth, searching for any signs of danger or otherwise. Her cyan gazed focused on the setting sun, mesmerized by the beauty of it. Oh how she wished she was as beautiful as it. Glancing back towards her fur, she began to groom herself, hating the clumps that had formed due to the sticky sand.
Her thoughts were consumed that day, eating her alive with guilt and need. She felt guilty for some reason, knowing that she had caused multiple heart-breaks, but her need for passion took center stage in her mind, finding no other distraction. She needed one, maybe the walk on the beach could help her with her struggles. Picking herself back up she sauntered her way down the wet sand, tilting her ebony nose up to smell the sea salt. A sigh rumbled through her as she awaited company, maybe she would get lucky and find some.

Massive paws dug deep into the sand, the toes curled inward to form crude cups that rapidly shoved the grit away. The expelled sand was sent flying out behind him in a dusty arc of ebony. It stung the skin on his belly, his thighs, but he ignored the unpleasantness of his task and pressed on. Somewhere below his paws lurked a tasty treat: clams. The brute stood hunched over the hole with his rump in the air and his face hidden beneath the walls of sand on either side of the trench he'd dug.
A sigh somehow managed to rise above the hissing of the waves. Hearing it, Valentine's head popped out of the hole. Sand dotted his face and stood piled high on the tip of his nose, giving him a comical, scruffy appearance. He eyed the fae walking down the beach, his eyes following the sway of her hips for a moment before moving to her face. "Hey," he barked, "Like clams?" Four paws were better than two, right?

At the sound of the gritty sand being shoveled, she turned her russet furred crown to the side, following the strange noise and landing on the sight of a muscular slate blue wolf approaching her. Instantly, the fire burned inside her once again. Not really paying attention to the wolf's words, her cyan gaze traveled slowly over the brute's toned body, enjoying the sight as she traveled back up to his muzzle. Little dots encircled the bottom half of his orbs, what an intriguing mark. Standing up, she stood small compared to the large male but she wasn't afraid for he seemed kind, though she wouldn't mind either way.
At his words she scoffed. No way in hell was she digging in this mess for clams. She would gladly get dirty in the obsidian sand for other purposes but clams? That was far beyond her. Brushing up against his muscular shoulder, she ran her tail along his flank. "I can think of other things that would better make use of our time if you wish to get dirty.." she stated fluidly, the words dripping off of her tongue like honey. She would way rather have fun with this wolf than waste her time digging for clams. She wanted to play her game...

For a second he almost snorted at her words. What could possibly be better than cla- Oh. His eyes narrowed mischievously as realization struck him. Valentine set his forepaws flat on the ground and straightened, his gaze even with hers despite his lowered body. "Is that so?" One browspot lifted in a bemused expression.
"Pray tell," he rumbled, "What do you have in mind?" Playing dumb, he continued dryly, "Fishing? Crabbing?" Would she find that funny? Probably not, but at least he was amused. His mouth lifted in a slight smirk, his features brightening minutely in amusement. What about his sand covered, salt encrusted person screamed for attention? If anything, he'd have thought his current state would serve as a warning and send wolves flying in the other direction.
