Imperium
A lawful neutral pack, Imperium pulls neither strongly for the dark nor the light. The Rex takes a militaristic approach to cultivating his domain; each member trains rigorously in combat and the skills necessary to thrive in harsh circumstances. Maintaining a strong military capability and being prepared to use it aggressively to defend or promote pack interests is top priority. Respect and the desire to be part of something bigger than oneself is key to thriving here.

Everything you need to know about getting a higher rank can be found HERE
REX (1) - The absolute monarch of Imperium. His word is law and above debate.
CONSUL (1) - The second-in-command. His or her authority is only a step below the Rex's in strength. They have the power to accept and deny potential members as well as force claim rogues. They CAN make interpack/rogue trades, promote/demote members. They CANNOT form alliances, start wars, free slaves or contradict or void the decisions the Rex makes.
ULTIMUS (1) - The heir, the successor, the next in line for the throne. Should the Rex be unable to lead for whatever reason, the Ultimus Haeres will step up to take, either temporarily or permanently, his place.
ET UXOR (1) - Imperium's Queen. This rank is for the best of the best; the most capable of the Rex's love interests. A force to be reckoned with, the Uxor defends her position the same way the Rex does. This position is earned and defended in battle. The one who possesses this title must be strong of character and decisive in her actions. She is expected to undertake all of the responsibilities of a tier two wolf, including accepting/rejecting potential members, promoting/demoting members and force claiming. The Uxor is above the Praetor and Militaris in rank and capable of overriding their decisions. PRAETOR (1) - The Praetor is the most capable wolf in the Militia. He or she oversees each tier and their management, and has the power to override the commands of the Palatine, Custos and Praedator. He or she is allowed to test potential members, force claim rogues, promote/demote members as well as hand out punishments and is expected to regularly call the Militia (Gladiator, Legionary, Praesidio) together for training.
MILITARIS (1) - The Rex's advisor, the Militaris is a calculating tactician. Working out interpersonal knots and hidden motives is their forte, and they can translate their findings into readily understood countermeasures and/or solutions with ease. To the Militaris, figuring out the inner workings of others in child's play. They are given all of the benefits and powers of a tier two position. He or she is expected to work alongside the Praetor in managing the Militia.
PALATINE (1) - The lead Healer, the Palatine is the most experienced medic Imperium has to offer. As well as overseeing the training and advancement of lower medical ranks, the Palatine acts as any doctor might, tending to the needs of the population. This is a position of esteem and as such, the Palatine is able to make decisions beyond the mending and tending of others. The Palatine is able to test potential members (a recommendation from the Palatine will go far), but the decision to accept a wolf as a full fledged member is ultimately up to a tier two or higher.
CUSTOS (1) - Is charged with maintaining the captive forces. They are responsible for keeping the Servus in line and making sure every last bit of use is wrung out of them. The Custos is able to punish captives who fail to make an appearance in mandatory events or behave in a way that is inappropriate given their lowly status. The Custos is below the Palatine in rank and equal with the Praedator.
PRAEDATOR (1) - The lead hunter. Is in charge of calling hunts and making sure that the pack is fed. All Tier Four, Five and Six members over the age of 1 are expected to attend hunts called by the Praedator unless told otherwise. The Praedator is below the Palatine in rank and equal with the Custos.
GLADIATOR (∞) - Imperium's seasoned warriors. With much skill and hard work the Gladiators have earned a position of esteem in the pack. They are capable, knowledgeable fighters and with this rank their prowess is recognized. Gladiators are encouraged to call hunts and fight training, but attendance to these events isn't mandatory to any except tier 6 members. They themselves are required to attend only tier 2+ fighting and hunting events unless instructed otherwise.
MEDICA (∞) - The healers of the pack, those in possession of this title excel in their field and have mastered the skills required to offer their packmates the highest quality of care in both times of peace and times of unrest. They are required to attend all healing and hunting related events called by tier 3+ wolves unless told otherwise.
LEGIONARY (∞) - The common soldier, the Legionary is a wolf whose skill in combat is undeniable, but who has yet to excel in their field. The Legionary is expected to work with the Praesidio to maintain the borders. They are also expected to attend all hunting and fighting events called by tier 3+ wolves unless told otherwise.
PRAESIDIO (∞) - Imperium's guards, the job of the Praesidio is to defended the border, alert the pack to security breaches and make regular rounds of the perimeter. This rank is for those who are interested in keeping the pack safe but aren't necessarily interested in combat. Praesidio are required to attend all hunts started by tier 3+ wolves unless told otherwise.
VENATRIX (∞) - The hunters of the pack, each Venatrix is skilled in tracking and bringing down game, and is expected to provide for members who are temporarily unable to hunt for themselves as well as assist in training Imperium's youth. They are expected to to attend every hunts called by tier 3+ wolves unless told otherwise.
NUTRIX (1) - A healer who's devoted to maintaining the well being of Imperium's youth. The Nutrix is responsible for youth from infancy to adulthood and also assists expectant mothers with prenatal care as well as childbirth. Another responsibility of the Nutrix is to teach youths the basics of wound care when they reach two seasons old. Must attend hunts called by tier 3+ members unless told otherwise.
CONSOCIA (∞) - This rank is held by the Rex's male and female mates, concubines and love interests. This rank is more than simply standing around looking pretty. Those who hold this title are expected to pursue their fields of interest (e.g. healing, hunting, defending) and will double as whatever they're trained in should the need for their skills arise.
LIBERTUS (∞) - Freed slaves who have yet to excel in a particular field, also new members who haven't been ranked and youths who have yet to declare their interests. Under the belief that they need help making up their minds, all Libertus are required to attend all hunts, fighter training and healer training by tier 3+ members. This does NOT apply to wolves whose rank is pending; these wolves are only required to attend events pertaining to the career they're after (fighters do fight training, healers do healer training) and hunts.
HAERES (∞) - The Rex's children under one year of age and those who have yet to pick a career path.
CREATUS (∞) - Youths under two seasons of age.
TRIBUNE (∞) - Youths two seasons and older in training. The "starter" or "common" rank (tier four ranks) they're after will be in parenthesis next to their name and should they earn enough skill points by the turn of their first year, they'll be added to that rank. Those that are unable or unwilling to earn those points will find themselves among the ranks of the Libertus at the turn of their first year.
SERVUS (∞) - Imperium's slaves, the Servus are awarded few freedoms but expected to pull their weight nonetheless. Their voice holds no weight and full fledged members may do with them as they wish. High ranking members are welcome to take slaves as they see fit and the general populous, with the Rex's approval, may take ownership of Servus who aren't already claimed. These lucky ducks get to attend all hunts called by full members. Failure to show will result in punishment that may or may not include maiming.
KARUS (∞) - The Rex's personal captives. All others, even those specifically claimed by a pack member, are titled Servus. These select few are protected from the whims of the rest of the pack and none may touch them unless they are foolish enough to leave pack lands. Must attend all hunts.
CAPTIVUS (∞) - Prisoners of war, hostages and the like are listed under this title. They're afforded the comfort of knowing that unlike the Servus, their potential usefulness protects them from undue harm. Captivus are looked after by the Custos and Praedator, and their well being is monitored by the Palatine. Like the other tier 6 members they are required to attend all hunts. |
RULES- ONE: Respect is key; the use of it could begin your ascension, but the lack of it will most certainly be your downfall. Give it when it is due and by all means, expect it in return. - TWO: Among members, unity is a must; don't let emotional wounds fester. Have it out, air your grievances, do something, anything to fix the situation. If the feud continues and the Rex is forced to intervene there will be consequences. - THREE: Trespassers are to be attacked on sight. The penality for trespassing onto Imperium land is often severe and trespassers can expect to walk away with a maim if they're not force claimed. - FOUR: There will be no tolerance for acts of malice among members. Fights for supremacy and honor are acceptable, but wanton cruelty (maims, dms) is forbidden. The courtesy extends to allies as well, but rogues are fair game. Crimes against Imperium children (this includes sexual relationships between yearlings and adults) will be punished in the most imaginative way possible. This law extends to all wolves regardless of their pack status. - FIVE: Members are welcome to take any mate they see fit, although rogues and wolves belonging to other packs are expected to join Imperium. Any offspring (under the age of one) of an Imperium wolf belongs to the pack regardless of the status of their other parent. They are expected to be raised and trained in pack lands - no exceptions. The Rex is willing to dispute the claims of rogues and packs over the upbringing of Imperium children. - SIX: Tier 6 members are not allowed to breed. Period. Tier 5+ members caught with slaves will be severely punished. Outsiders are to be maimed or force claimed. Tier 6 wolves who become pregnant or impregnate can expect their lives to become much, much harder and males will likely be subjected to castration. Tier 6 ranks are herditary. - SEVEN: Rank requirements are listed in the rank descriptions. Failure to attend any mandatory event requirements for your rank will result in a warning and then a series of punishments/demotions depending on rank.
