Just A Million Little Gods
So she was curious? So what? Aerndís strolled with the confidence of a wolf who had nothing to lose. Her mission to recover the Tsanka's missing wife was quickly fading in her mind with the thrill and instability of this land called Alacritis. The gladiator had left when Solstice disbanded and the red queen left. She'd been pretty damned impressed that the half-eaten woman managed to triumph over the challenging male. But such was battle, fate was a fickle mistress. Aern's own wounds still laid open from her battle with the blue-eyed woman. That was a hell of a fight and Aern had a budding respect for the other's gumption. All these curiosities led her straight south to Arcanum. To the pack that had challenged Solstice. Well, Solstice was no more. It was Glaciem now, ruled by Odette and moving far to north for Aern's taste. So she'd come seeking the only other pack she knew of fully aware she might be setting herself up for trouble. She'd likely be viewed an enemy but oh well, she'd only been in Solstice for a few weeks her ties were not that strong and she was well within her rights to explore other options.
Coming to a stop outside Arcanum's border, Aern tipped back her head and howled for the silver queen. She had a date with destiny.

As usual, meinx would stroll across the borders, making sure no one trespassed. Though as soon as the call rang out she couldn't help but go for it. Though aimed for the queen, she was sure this wolf wouldn't mind an extra. Her pace would quicken towards the call, and well, the wolf at the border was DEFIANTLY not what she expected. Meinx would carry on forward until there was only a couple meters left between them. She didn't know how to feel about this little meeting, their fight was rather intense and Meinx felt the fight was close, and well, only one can win, she wasn't sure if it was just luck but well, she really didn't care. Meinx came out with a few open wounds, though she cared little for them. Afterall she didn't want to be a blank canvas. With each fight she had it added onto her experience and well, she was still only young with so much to learn. [even if she doesn't want to admit it.] Half of her despised the woman in front of her, though the other half couldn't help but be intrigued. Though, of course the beta wouldn't show that. Her face would remain blank, not even a roll of the eyes would be noticed. " What. Just couldn't imagine the thought of being parted from me?" |
Aerndís waited with as much patience as she could muster, her paws shifting easily from side to side, keeping her body limber in case she was attacked on sight. The sound and sight of movement drew her lavendar eyes right to…. well slather her in honey and feed her to a bear! It was her darling opponent. The bitch that had interrupted her attempt at fornicating with that handsome young man and what a fight it had been! Mmm… the memory of it sent jolts of excitement down her spine. The blue-eyed woman came to a halt just meters from Aerndís but the gladiator made no sign of being intimidated.
Aern turned her head slightly, her left forepaw going to her chest. "As you say my darling! I could not bear the thought of being parted from you!" The older female let out a laugh of amusement as she feigned the part of a crossed lover. "Come on now, you have to admit that was fun. The heat of battle is all the more sweeter the higher the stakes. Actually, I come bearing news of…. well what was once Solstice, and to seek a new home." What else was there to say? The women of this pack impressed her.

The call that rang out was specifically for her. Always for her. Grumbling she would rise to her paws wearily. Pregnancy was wearing on her. Paws pressed into the snow laden moor, her coral gaze staring straight ahead. Nostrils quivered, inhaling the scent of a stranger, and Meinx. Good. The last thing she needed was a skirmish while pregnant. Audits tipped forward, catching the last words of the stranger. Solstice. Immediately her interest spiked. It had been so disappointing when Kylar had lost to the russet bitch, allowing them to keep their home. But in the end, she was satisfied with his results. A smirk lifted her lips as she came to stand beside her beta. "And what do you know of Solstice, my dear?" Her coral gaze swept over the woman, she wasnt particularly interested in the fact that this woman sough at home, Solstice was her main interest for the moment. Perhaps after she would consider allowing the woman into her pack, depending on what purpose she could serve. "Burn Baby Burn" |

At last the silver Queen would arrive. Now things could get interesting, although, as she watched the woman waddle over to the pair she felt a bit disappointed. She'd rather been hoping to be tested by the Queen but that was looking unlikely. Oh well! Aerndís shrugged it off, she was certain she'd get a chance to prove her worth soon enough.
As Aern predicted the woman seemed particularly interested in her news of Solstice. While she could hold the information ransom in return for something else that kind of bartering wasn't really Aern's style. She was direct and to the point.
"Solstice is no more. Crucifix and Sibelle have split ways and the pack has decided to follow a woman named Odette to the north." Aern shrugged lightly. "I wasn't in Solstice long, but the woman is far too compassionate for my taste. The women of your pack made a good impression on me. Where I'm from it's not often to see women of your caliber. I want to join your pack and train and fight til I can no longer stand. My name is Aerndís Thyre."

Meinx would stay put where she was for the time being, her eyes still glued upon Aerndis. Still, after the heated battle the beta still didn't get a name of whom this woman was, she was a familiar figure and yet identity unknown. Though slightly amused by her behaviour, Meinx would not show it and would instead keep her face blank. Though, before The russet dame had the chance to reply to the stranger another presence would loom onto the scene, which would momentarily distract Meinx. Though, now that we are on the topic of Solstice Meinx couldn't help but be intrueged. Arcanum and the once was pack never did get along, and well- this woman simply residing in Solstice is what caused the maim to even begin. Though, it was no doubt fun and thrilling [especially since this was her first maim]. Of course, Meinx would always seek to win and destroy, but if she was ever on the losing side she had always believed she'd look far more interesting with scars and deformed feeatures." No more?" Oh please... do go on! Solstice always did seem to be to compassionate and caring for their own good, and well it would seem they had now disbanded and where no longer to be. Meinx would give no answer to joining, as she believed it was Cataleya's choice alone. Meinx no doubt believed that this woman had experience in fighting, and well- Arcanum really was in need of more able bodies.
The words that came from this stranger were like music to her ears. So it seemed that the happy couple had fallen apart under the stress of her games. A sneer would curl her lips, her interest spiking when the news of Solstice changing hands was brought up. Already she was planning on paying this Odette a little visit. Her thoughts drifted, only to be brought back when the woman requested a place within her ranks. A brow would lift curiously. Meinx would speak first, wanting the woman to divulge more information about Solstice. And she couldn't disagree, Solstice had been the sole focus on her entertainment for the past few weeks. It was pathetic that they were so incapable of handling it. "Brave words." She would speak with deceptively soft tones. 'Fight till I can no longer stand.' Did the woman not realize that one day she would be forced to do just that? She fight until her very last breath all at the whims of the silver queen? "Your admirations of my women are of no concern to me. I only want to know if you are a capable fighter." She would pin the woman with a hard gaze, her point clear. "Burn Baby Burn" |
Aerndís nodded at Meinx's comment. Yes, Solstice had been dissolved, it's name scattered to the four winds though it's members remained mostly together. If the pair of women doubted her there wasn't much Aern could do about that though if they insisted she was lying she was more than happen to show them the power of truth as it was held in her fangs. And it seemed the silver woman was keen on just that. Well, if she wanted proof then Aerndís was more than happy to oblige. However, she doubted very much that the pregnant fae was to be her opponent… or was she?
Aern narrowed her lavender eyes. "Then test me if it suits your fancy. I have no problem giving you all the proof you need." Defenses began to fall into place as she eyed the two women. Who would be her opponent? Or perhaps the Queen meant for her to be tested at a later time. Either way she would demonstrate her willingness to fight.

Her gaze would quickly skim over Cataleya, and then back to Aerndis, who no doubt had the skills of a warrior. Meinx had fought against her once, though it would seem in the future she would need to prove it again. The russet beta would say nothing, and before the process would go any further two others would appear on scene. Almost immediately her defenses would rise in instinct, until one would request about joining. Very well then. he meeting wouldn't go on much longer, Cataleya would give them all ranks. Meinx felt little need to stay on the scene, and would swiftly turn, heading of deeper within Arcanums home. -exits.- |
