There was something he had to do, something he counted as being worth leaving Jian and the pups even for just a short time. He was a father, and some part of him was demanding he go to visit the man that had given him life, if nothing else. His nose worked as he stalked through the lands following the faintest trails, though it was growing stronger with each step. Violets gazed at the strange delapitated structure and he snorted, his father?s scent was strongest here and Lel was willing to bet the old man was hiding out somewhere around here.
With a growl the boy violently threw his head back, calling for the man. He wasn?t exactly sure what he was going do but he had a few things he needed to tell the bastard, things he had promised not just for Jian but for his own children. He would never be like his father.

Bane gave a huff, Nako still sitting next to him. Age wasn't being kind to the elder, and so required that his eldest son remain close by. He worried about the fact that Nako would grow bored or wish to do something else. But the young male simply sat by, the feathers the old wolf had placed in his head twisting and blowing in the fjords breeze as the water trickled on by. Hardly any debris from the wind storm was heading down river anymore.

So when a howl, one on the fleeting edge of his memory called for him to come, Bane turned to look at Nako. Imagining the concern on his son's face and hardening his own as the young wolf took the lead towards the summon. The elder followed, sticking right behind his son as the edged close to the one who had called him. Nako muttered under his breath the forgotten name of the wolf to their front. Lel.

It was not the aged form of his father he saw, first but rather a vaguely familiar wolf he recognized as Nako. Feathers sprouting out from behind his ears, plodding along behind him was the man who had stolen the feathered boy so long ago. A growl rose in his throat at seeing the two of them, and despite the triumphant grin he plastered upon his face a seething anger roiled beneath the boy?s surface. ?Why look so surprised? You never came to visit dear brother,? he spat the word the anger betraying itself for the first time, ?So I thought I?d save you the hassle.?
He turned his violet gaze upon the elder man before him. ?It?s so good to see that family still means so much to you.? His lyrics were sickly sweet, a threat threading through them. ?After all who wouldn?t want to spend the rest of their life with the man that injured and kidnapped them at a young age, clearly he set such a good example. Why he was even there to support our mother- or wait?? The grin returned, his head cocking to the side. ?I forgot it was our father we were talking about. My bad.?

Bane immediately strode up to Nako's side, feeling the younger wolf's shoulder touching his own. He could send the sudden spike of tension in the air, the fur of his neck and shoulders bristling. What was Lel doing here? Why was Lel here? What was his purpose for calling the old wolf who had sired him? Unease and hesitation at having the long forgotten bastard at his family's den site was unnerving to say the least. Nako was here, even as Lel spoke his insults to the two wolves Bane's mind was racing as to where Jakart and Kailos were located around the Fjord. "What is your purpose here Lel? Go and live your life, our paths split when I took Nako. I have my family to look after." Lel's words hardly stung as much as the bastard probably hoped they would've.

The boy bristled at the older man’s words. “Why is that Bane?” He spat the older man’s name, his gaze fixed upon the elder, Nako all but forgotten. “What made Nako any less of a fucking bastard then the rest of us? You had four children Bane! You didn’t know us, what made you feel you had any right to take any of us from the only parent who had cared enough to actually raise us?” Anger he hadn’t realized he held bubbled to the surface.

“What? Was I not your son? Did you not have two daughters from Alena?” He took a step towards the man, not even glancing at his brother. “Why not me? Why not Jian or Tocan?” He would push on, rage shaking his frame. “What gave you the fucking right?

Lel'swords stung, he wouldn't lie to himself. Maybe not as much as the white bastard intended but it definitely made Bane reflect on his choice of taking Nako. His reasons were old and to a point, sheer desperation of not having any young to rear at such an age. Legitimate children or not the old male was a far more impatient wolf after suffering through the agony of having a mate pass away during birth and the five pups that starved while he was away. "You forgot Calix, Lel." Bane suddenly raised his head to stare in the direction of Lel, glazed over eye giving a blink. "And I am sorry. I screwed my way across the land without care nor worry with over half a dozen females. Maybe it was to cover the loss of my mate and first litter. But when Alena was with child all I could think back was to when my dear, bloodied Alarice was laying dead in our den with the still bodies of our children against her belly." There was a minor note of sadness in Bane's tone, a mear story to tell now. "White was her pelt and white was Alena's. And so you five where born, and as I see it was a rather fitting number. But I was jealous and impatient even while Tahlia and I waited for our first young to enter the world. So I stole Nako. I stole him because he was the first to come over to me and that is the sole reason he is standing here by my side." Bane sat and turned his muzzle towards Nako. "It was desperation and longing to fill a gap in my life."
