The pale wolf would walk lazily over the knolls, his gait rather aimless as he wandered through his new home. He'd taken the last week or two discovering all he could, learning the paths and memorizing the way each path cut into the lands. The quiet boy had not yet reached out to those in the pack, he wanted to know the lands before he tried to talk to its inhabitants. He felt better that way. Revenge wasn't one to be boisterous or friendly, he much preferred the background. The shadows were his friend.

Now he would search for Mercy, the whole reason he had ever joined this pack in the first place. She was the light of his world since he'd left the remnants of their broken family. She seemed to have blossomed here, while he had yet to accomplish anything. He knew if he wasn't careful Valentine would start to think him lazy. He'd have to see Ellis soon.

Eagerly he'd take up the scent of his sister in favor of thoughts of his past. Crooked smile fixed on his lips he loped after her aroma, eager to reunite with her again.

Mercy picked his scent up on the wind, and a smirk covered her lips. Sinking low to the earth the tall beast slunk forward, looping around where her brother was coming from and up onto a snow covered hill. She laid low on the earth, purple eyes peeking over the rise as her look was locked on him. Elongated tail swung behind her, muscled coiled as she prepared her attack. Then, once he was close enough, she launched herself forward and let loose a battle cry. The girl aimed to have herself collide right into his flank, hoping to send them both flying through the snow. She wasn't one for silent greetings, she liked to make quite the impression. Giggling like mad the girl tried to nibble at his flank, little love nips as they collided. "Revenge!" she squealed, limbs flying every which way.

She hadn't seen much of her brother since he had joined the ranks, off doing... whatever it was that he was doing. She had been busy fighting, training herself since Dione was off with her little devil spawns. All she had was her brother, and even then they hadn't talked much. She needed to make sure that it wouldn't stay that way.

Large paws would carry him down into a tiny valley, bright sunny gaze would watch for his sister's tall for but he was not expecting an ambush attack. Of course, he probably should have knowing his sister like he did, but he'd fell into a false sense of security since joining the tall cobalt king's pack. Easily he'd meander to where he was sure his sister was located, but when the wind shifted suddenly she smelled a lot closer than he had thought. He'd jump out of his skin as she let lose a terrible battle cry, his paws would scramble to get away from her attack, but to no avail. He'd wail as she ran into him, sending his body flailing into the air to land face first into a snow drift.

He'd groan, eventually pulling himself free of the snow. He'd huff as he sat back on his haunches, a playful smirk across his features. He'd shake hid head free of the residual snow, hopefully getting some of it on her. "Hey, Mercy." He'd reply in a regular tone, just like nothing had ever happened. Then he'd lift himself, eager to feel her affectionate touch. He'd aim to push his chest to hers and nuzzle at her cheek, his reclusiveness having separated them for too long. Maybe she'd agree to share her den with him, he'd yet to find an appropriate one for himself.

The girl let out a burst of laughter as he collided into a snow bank, her own form rolling up and over his. Catching herself gracefully on all fours, she jumped back just in time to avoid her brother shaking snow on her. Sticking out her tongue she bridged the gap between them, pushing her chest against his as he nuzzled her cheek. Coiling into her chest she placed a few soft nibbles there before reaching up to lick the top of his head. "Where have you been hiding yourself? I haven't seen you much since the hunt," she whined, sad that he was here, but not really with her. They had been inseparable as children, and now after spending such a long time apart she wanted to cling to him even more. She wondered if he had been busy with his own studies as she had her own, or if he was just being his drawn back self.

Sighing the girl fell to her rump, lowering her head so that it rested under Revenge's chin. He was all the family that she had left. She had no intentions of ever going back to Othello and Scorpion, nope. Her purple eyes slipped closed as she pushed her muzzle into his thick chest fur. "Do you hate me for leaving?" she asked, ears pressing flat against her skull. Revenge had not felt the same about their parents as she did, was it her fault that he had left their side? What if he wanted to stay with them?

He'd rumble as her teeth met his skin, he'd lean into her side, taking in her familiar scent and breathing in her essence. Mercy really was his world, and he might not have shown it very well recently but he was trying to get acclimated back into pack life. He'd gotten used to being alone, to keeping to the dark places. Of not being noticed.. even though he was a klutz it seemed he had a little natural talent. He'd not been found by Mercy the last few days. "I've been learning the territory." Every nook and cranny he could find, "I didn't find much in the way of dens though, think you might let me share yours?" He'd smile as she sat beneath him, pushing her chin against his jaw he'd lean and kiss her softly. Suddenly rather caught off guard by the question she would ask. He'd paused, pushing his head next to hers' wanting their noses to touch as he looked into her eyes. "I could never hate you, Mercy." Did she realize how much she meant to him?

He asked to share her den, causing her elongated tail to hit the earth below them. "Of course you can. It gets all cold being alone in there," she said, shivering softly as she thought about the endless cold nights. Thank goodness for her beautiful tail, it really did make a difference as the chill set in. Topics were changed quickly though, and Revenge yanked his had from on top of hers to push his nose to her, yellow eyes boring into her. As his words her purple eyes pooled with tears, and she looked towards the left and away from his intense face. How could he not hate her? "But I left... I took you away from them and I wandered off on my own without even saying anything to you. I regretted every minute of it! I hated being alone, but I just needed to get away," Mercy sniffled, pulling her eyes back towards him. So much love shone in those golden depths, and she knew that he was better than her. He didn't feel that their parents were in the wrong, and he came looking for her. She realized why she wanted to make a name for herself, to make herself stronger. So that she could be like him.

"I want to make a name for myself Revenge, I want to be a great warrior! But I can't do it without you," a whine left her lips as she pulled her nose away from his, instead she rushed forward and into his chest. She wanted to feel his lanky legs around her, to have him hold her close. "I don't know what I would do without you, brother."

He felt rather relieved to hear her say he could stay with her, his grin lighting up at the thought. He'd missed her so much in their time apart, it felt good to know they would be in the same den like they'd been growing up. He would have little time to dwell on this however, as they shifted their conversation to the past. Mercy seemed adamant that he was angry at her, going on to list the reasons why he should feel that way. He'd feel himself melt at seeing her tears, his ears falling as he tried to comfort her with little kisses. "It doesn't matter though. I wanted to be with you, so I came and found you." It was a good thing it wasn't him she had been running from, it would have made being with her rather awkward.

He'd listen as she confessed her want to be a warrior, and the incapability of doing such with out him there beside her. He'd feel a purr rumble deep in his chest, it seemed she needed him as much as he needed her. They were two parts of a whole, and one could not function with out the other, as he had learned while with out his sister. He would feel her push into his embrace, and he'd mold around her. Bringing her close he'd hold her tightly, knowing he could never let go. "I can't be with out you again, so I guess you don't have to worry about being without me," He'd whisper into her ear as he held her close, thankful that he had her back once more.
