AW to Isolde's fam/othello/Destructions

Somehow she'd fallen asleep again, between worrying about the next few hours and having little sleep the last few weeks the girl would fall into a deep slumber. The rest would be much needed, her body would finish readying itself for the moment she would bring her children into the world. After only a few hours of slumber she would be awoken by another contraction, they'd been sporadically taking hold of her over the past 20 hours or so. Now She'd be violently ripped from her sleep as the pain gripped her, a distressed whine would leave her lips as she curled in on herself and endured through.

Eventually her dark eyes would open again, finding that Othello had left at some point, and Soliloquy was nowhere to be seen. She'd hoped that Orchid might be here, but she had no one. Isolde was alone and the realization would do nothing to help her situation. She'd feel a panic take her as another contraction took hold, her voice would ring out distressed and in pain as she writhed on the den floor. It was time, and she was not ready. She didn't want to be a mother and she did not want to give birth.

It was getting close now to the birth. At least Soliloquy assumed they would be arriving any day, surely it wasn't possible for Isolde to get any larger, she looked fit to burst already. Though clearly and oblivious and ignorant of most pregnancy related topics he had certainly been trying as of late though it seemed that not everything had been put back together in time. He feared now as they grew closer and closer to the arrival of the children that it would no longer happen at all, that Isolde would remain away from him, his previous place at her side stolen away by these children and of course Othello who for some reason still remained there.

But the woman was not there at the present moment. Of course neither was Soliloquy as the pained cry rang through the air. Knowing so little about what was to come the pain that childbirth would bring the man would feel nothing but worry strike him. He did after all care for his dear little Isolde, in his own strange twisted way. He wanted her safe and that call certainly didn't sound safe. Of course even if he knew the true meaning behind the shout, chances were he would still be worried. Freedom was abruptly coming to an end.

He would waste no time in moving towards the den and find as he had suspected from her cry, that Isolde was currently alone. Well he wasn't really sure what he could actually do to help but he was here now and hopefully Orchid or someone else would soon follow. "Are you ok? What happened?" He would enquire, pushing into the den without permission. This was an emergency after all wasn't it? There was no time to be polite.

She would wriggle helplessly on the den floor, trying to get away from the awful pains that held her so tight. She knew that there would be pain but she had never felt anything close to this before, surely she really was ripping apart from the inside to get these pups out of her. She'd squeal as the contractions kept coming, giving her little time to rest in between. She'd whimper helplessly as her labor would go on, tears in her eyes as she struggled with her fears and low confidence in her ability. She felt weak and useless, like she'd never be able to birth the children within her.

She'd writhe uselessly as Soliloquy's voice would break through her foggy state, suddenly someone was there and she no longer felt like she was going to die alone. More whimpers would fall from her lips as she failed to explain what was going on, but surely he would gather as her water broke staining the earthen den with liquid. A low moan would fall from her lips as she crawled slowly back over to the soft moss that was laid so carefully on the floor.

Flopping over she'd continue to verbally complain, the pain taking over her conscious as she tried to shut the pain out. There was no arguing with it though, she would be held in its grasp until the pups finally fled from her womb. Othello had been through this with her, but as she tried to think the pain would cloud her memories and she'd feel just as lost. The most intense of contractions would grasp her then, wringing her spine mercilessly. She would scream, unable to handle what her body was putting her through.

Something was wrong.

She had gone out to hunt for Isolde, but she paused in the middle of her stalking, her heart tinging. It was time, wasn't it. Ears pulled forward as she took off, paws eating away at the snow to cover the distance. As she drew closer she could hear the girls moans, and scampered into the den. She saw that Soliloquy was there, and shot him a quick look. She didn't like him, but she wasn't going to start something now. These were his pups, so he better be here to see them born. Purple eyes cast towards the soon to be mother, her smile soft as she let out soft murmurs. "Hey little fawn, its okay. Look at me darling, focus on my face. Just push with all your might when you feel the need, okay? Its time to bring these little bundles into the world, and only you can do it," she said in even tones, nuzzling the dame's cheek. She needed to focus, needed to concentrate on it. It was time. Excitement bubbled in the woman, her tail wagging behind her.

Soliloquy still couldn't guess that it was time, all he could think was that something awful must have happened to poor Isolde for her to be in this much pain, unable to even speak to him. Where the hell was Orchid? Was his sister even here or had she gone running off somewhere again, he had no way of knowing but began to turn to head back outside and call her just in case she happened to be close.

Unfortunately he didn't get very far in that plan. He certainly would have preferred his sister's presence here rather than Othello's. Calmly the white woman would barge past and move to Isolde, not even a word spoken to him as she comforted Isolde. That was his job, she was his after all. Why on earth did she still march in and out like... wait, what did she just say?!

It was time to bring the little bundles into the world? Really? He had sort of expected it of course, though surely it shouldn't be hurting her this badly? There was at least surely something that could be done to help her rather than leave her suffering like this until it was time to push, as though it was the easiest thing in the world. "You must be able to help her." He commented, looking at Othello now clearly with some disapproval showing upon his features for the situation. "She's in pain, there must be something that can help." He bet that Orchid would know what to do.

She could hardly believe the pain as a very confused Soliloquy would rush back to the entrance, she'd panic for a moment before Othello would appear before him. Obviously much more knowledgeable she would materialize at her front, soothing words leaving her as she nuzzled her softly. The older woman would guide Isolde tenderly, her words reminding the girl what needed to be done. Whimpers would continue to leave her lips as she tried to focus on what needed done, but she found the task difficult through the pain. "I can't." She'd cry, "I can't, I can't..." Those 'little bundles' just needed to disappear entirely, because it was too much way too much.

Soliloquy would speak for her, insisting that she didn't need to be in so much pain. As if to further prove his point she would squirm and writhe once more, whining painfully as she would take Othello's instructions and execute the order. With all the might she could muster the need to push would be fulfilled, a groan would leave her as the immense pressure would be relieved for a few moments and the first of Isolde and Soliloquy's children would arrive.

Her instincts were what would act as she struggled to see her newly born pup, the pain draining for just a few moments as she leaned over to clean the tiny thing. The amazement at it's presence would not last though and twice more the dainty girl would release the whelps from her womb. Though she'd thought that the pain would never end as the third child left her a feeling of complete relief would take her. She'd made it through.

Life on the inside had been rather easy. The pup had grown without any knowledge of the drama in his parent's lives, the stress he and his siblings would be bringing to both of them. Apparently between Soliloquy, Othello and Orchid though something had obviously been done right in giving care to Isolde and though this would be her first litter, the pups were not about to be frail little things, certainly not this boy anyway.

He was content within the world he knew though it had certainly been getting more and more cramped. That problem was being solved it seemed though not quite without a struggle. Eventually however the boy would find himself brought into the world. The cold world. Winter certainly hadn't given them the greatest welcome party. Instinct and gentle touches would encourage him to find his way to his mother's warm side. Contently settling himself there for the first feed and afterwards much needed sleep.

She would growl at Soliloquy, her ears pulling back to her skull. It was a soft one, irritated that this man thought that he was failing the woman below her. "It's because she's not pushing, the pressure is building up and she needs to push if she wants to get rid of the pain," her voice was level, she controlled the anger and instead turned his eyes to Isolde. "You can do it my little fawn, just push, and it will all be over," She promised. And at last the woman listened, pushing and expelling the first bundle from her. She moved to grab it, but Isolde beat her to it. She cleaned the pup, but it would not last long as two more came forth. Ah, three healthy little babies. Her breath rushed out of her lungs as she focused on the tiny dears, a perfect match up of both parents. She turned up to the larger man, the smile on her face wide and graceful. "Congratulations, Daddy," Othello said teasingly. She may not really like the man, but now was not a time to focus on that. There were three new little lives that needed to be cared for. Turning back to them she licked the others, humming softly in her broken tone as she nosed them towards their mothers breast. With the scent of puppies all around, she felt giddy and oh-so-happy. Smiling at the spotted woman, she licked her sweaty brow. "You're a mother now, Isolde. To three, perfect children."

It was warm within his little place, but the pressure was something new. He tumbled around, shoving his way around the other forms to push his way out. It was stuffy, sticky, and just not right anymore. He came into the world in silence, the shock of the cold stunning him for a few moments. But as soon as that tongue brushed across his form he let out a cry, a sound too loud for the bundle. Squirming and wiggling he pushed against everything that touched him, brows furrowed as he sought only one thing. Food. It was a word that held no meaning, but exactly what he was desired. A nose bumped against him and he let out another cry, telling it to back off, whatever it was. Already determination was in the little one, he wanted to be first to get there. Bumping against the lump that was his brother, he latched on with a needy whine, limbs sprawling out to take up as much room as he could. This. Was. His. No one else could have it.

She did not want to leave the warm confines of her mother's womb, it might have been getting rather cramped but she was content here. Things were changing rather quickly though, much to fast for her own liking. Eventually she would be thrust out into the world, a wet disgruntled little child. As she was freed from the protective sac she would cry with all her strength, she was not happy. This was not warm, this was not comfortable, and she was not amused with having to move on her own. Colette would not move, instead she would lay, quite still, and she would cry helplessly until she was moved to her mother's side. She would latch on with vigor, at the opposite end of their mother's belly to her brothers. Eagerly the tiny pup would fill her belly, wanting nothing more than that content feeling and sleep.

She'd heave a sigh of relief as she was emptied of the pup's bodies, her head would lay back against the floor as she let Othello finish seeing them to her belly. A feeling of contentment would overtake her, she had done it, she had gotten through the birth. She would faintly hear Othello congratulate Soliloquy before her attentions would be brought back to the rather tired mother. She too would be soothed by Othello's gentle humming, and she'd feel the need to sleep start to overwhelm her. Her eyes would flutter open as Othello found her way back, her words assuring as she would be the first to call her by her new title.

The revelation would stir her, lifting her head she would take in the sight before her, amazed at the tiny bundles that only a few moments ago had been nestled safely within her. What did Soliloquy think? Had their appearance brought any more parental instincts to the man? What about herself? She'd watch the squirming little balls of fluff, taking in their tiny innocence. She might not have wanted them, but they were just so cute. She couldn't hate them. "Should we name them?" She would ask weakly as she looked to Soliloquy's gaze.

As Isolde looked up at Soliloquy and asked about names, she was struck with an unending sadness. It made her form grow stiff, and ever so slowly the woman stood up. Taking one last look at Isolde and the pups, she slipped passed the pale male, shooting him a gentle look. "Let her sleep as much as she wants, she needs it," Othello whispered, and then slipped from the den that the two woman had shared. This was no longer her place, the new little family needed to unite. She remembered how it was when she gave birth, the joy it brought her and Scorpion. A withering sigh left her maw as tears collected in her purple eyes, her depression weighing heavily on her shoulders. Taking a longing look at the den, she pushed forward into the cold. Her children had left her, and now Isolde's family had grown. She couldn't be there right now... it was too painful. Perhaps she should go find Scorpion...

Othello would put the blame for the pain upon Isolde herself. Of course that wasn't quite how she had worded it though it was how Soliloquy personally chose to interpret the words. Still he was certain that his sister would have found some way to make Isolde more comfortable rather than leave her suffering, eager to push until she could.

At last that time would come though it wouldn't actually get any better at all in the man's opinion. Gross was perhaps the first word to spring to mind. Childbirth was not an attractive process he was learning. The first pup would make his way into the world, though as he peered all he'd see was a yucky, slimy mess. Isolde would promptly clean him to reveal a brown ball of fur though cute still wasn't a word he'd use to describe the child or the three that followed.

Apparently he wasn't exactly a very paternal wolf. He was certain that the combination of his and Isolde's genes would have created some rather attractive children, though all he saw for now was tiny little bundles as Othello had described them, still damp from birth and nothing exactly interesting about them. They'd grow of course, develop into their looks and personalities though for now he certainly still didn't see the big attraction to children.

Othello wouldn't help with her teasing comment. Yes, because he really needed reminding now that there were three little lives he had to be partially responsible for. He would ignore her, continuing to stare at the pups and watch Isolde. She seemed content now, the pain had evidently passed though tiredness he could see was creeping over her. He would have taken his spot at her side, comforted her until dreams claimed her though Othello was still in the way. Maybe it was best to leave her in peace, though he certainly wasn't going anywhere until the other woman left.

Surprisingly that would come easier than he had anticipated. The woman seemed different, he couldn't quite read into her sadness though there was something calmer about her as she murmured to him a simple command, suggestion really more than anything else. He'd realised it himself though he would only give a nod in response rather than any other remark, letting her slip past and moving closer to Isolde.

There was another task yet anyway apparently. Names. Honestly he hadn't thought about that part at all. How on earth did you even begin to select a name for something. Evidently his parents had graced him with his own, though how they came to the decision for himself and his siblings he had no idea. Scorpion hadn't warned him about that part, perhaps Othello had taken over that task. "What?" He questioned, understanding of course that they should name them though clueless as to what they should be named. Would 1, 2 and 3 be alright for now?

As she looked towards the father of the children of her belly she couldn't help but notice as Othello slowly, and almost awkwardly standing up with no warning. Not even stopping to say goodbye she would turn from Isolde. She would feel her heart tear as the woman walked away, and gathering the strength she could she would call out her her as she went. "Thank you, Othello." She would then find she needed to lay her head on her paws. She was so tired.

Soliloquy would question her, but her mind was too fuzzy to really explain. She needed to rest, just as Othello had said. Maybe he would think about them as she slept, but for some reason she had to doubt it. "Names..." She would trail off exhaustedly, if he wanted to press the issue its possible he could have kept her awake, but with Othello's simple order it was not likely.
