Azalea was set on a mission across Regium and toward the Mile High Woods to where Glaciem resided.  She had been informed of the changes, that Regium was actually Bevroren reborn and the wolves of Glaciem would be molded under the forms of what the pack was originally created as.  The Glaciem formed by her blood uncle, Gargoyle.

Odette was in charge now, odd as it sounded, and she was beginning to feel quite old.  The adopted Adravendi was old enough to run her own pack!  Where had the time gone?  North, she guessed, just as she had gone.  Time was not kind to her family.  They were broke apart, built back up, and broken apart again.  Azalea's face was ravaged by her aunt, her leg ravaged by earth.  Her man was lost to her and her heart was muddied with uncertainty.  Sometimes she felt closer with her friends than with those bound her by blood and ceremony.

She would seem to count her steps as she went, reminding herself to not lower leg no matter how fine it felt.  It was definitely on the mend but the bone still fractured and no use for walking on.

Freshened up and with a full meal in her belly, Azalea was about to get around faster.  Surely though, if Roman knew she were about, she would getting an earful and throwing the Armada Queen into labor.  As well, Roman would hopefully know better than to try and keep Azalea from running about.  She had never been one to sit still and let life pass her by and the time away from her friends and family was long enough of doing nothing.  So, she would visit her blood cousin and see what tales of Azalea had reached the gal.

She stopped on the edge of Regium territory, calling across the space between and into Glaciem territory.

Odette had been enjoying her time around the new pack lands. After becoming settled with both pieces of land, she had decided to try and grab some lunch. The canopies of the trees that stretched above her were filled with noise and colorful life, making Odette envious of the life that lived there. She had been honing in on her balancing skills by going from one branch to the next, slowly getting closer to the potential food. On this particular day, she was only two branches away from the top, causing excitement to quickly rise in her body. The Alphess of Glaciem was indeed very proud of herself.

After reaching the top and successfully grabbing a small bird from the closest branch, she began her descent to the ground. Tan paws hit the snow with a dull thud, making the flakes rise and fall around her large body. She almost lost her grip on the bird in her mouth from the aftershock, but she tightened her teeth around its limp neck and proceeded to walk through the large, spaced out trees. Red and blue eyes sparkled with delight as she couldn't wait to tell her pack members about her mission. She only hoped they would be more open to the heights that had to be achieved.

As she continued to walk through her new home, she caught a scent that made her smile through the feathers. It had been so long since she had seen another Adravendi, it was ridiculous! Odette sped up the pace, making more snow flurries hit the air and spin in various directions. By the time she reached the spot her cousin had chosen, she looked as if she had aged ten years. Snow was flecked in all bits and pieces of her thick coat, making anyone who laid eyes on her to think that she was ancient. However, her eyes sparkled with the life of a young wolf and that was where the assumption would be corrected.

She saw the russet-faced beauty at the edge of her home and her tail immediately swept behind her large form. Even though it had been a year since their last encounter, she still felt like time had slipped away from her. Without a second thought, Odette lowered her prey to the trunk of the closest tree and began to walk past the border. The snow started to fall away from her large frame as she walked, enjoying the cold breezes that whipped across the space between both borders. She gave another call back to Azalea, hoping that maybe the woman would either meet her halfway or a few steps away from her own borders.

The corridor between the packs was crooked but mostly free of trees. The way space was like a no fly zone and Azalea didn't often wander in such spaces outside of situations such as this. Silence built as Azalea waiting, listening to the trees rattle in the wind and watching clumps of snow fall from branches and cascade into the sea of white below.

She looked around, slow and observing, wondering now if anyone would show up. Patience was never a strength with her but now she resigned to waiting, slowly and awkwardly posturing and adjusting as she tried to sit down.

As soon as she was seated, fully on her rump, a wolf would appear in the gnarled trees ahead. Azalea's eyes grew wide for a moment, seeing the mass of the wolf combined with their coloration. She wanted to believe it was Collision but of course it was not, just Odette.

The young woman came out of the treeline and out of her territory. Her call made Azalea realize that she needed to meet her and for a moment all she could do was look at the ground around her and laugh flatly. Great.

She strained her legs, moving slowly and cautiously and making a face as pain coursed through her broken limb. When she managed to get to her paws she ambled out to meet Odette, leaving a messy track in the deep snow. "Odette Adravendi! My you grew...and grew. I'm beginning to suspect I am the only one of our blood who got the short gene." She smiled warmly to her cousin who now towered over her.

Odette Adravendi

As she made her way from the safety of her borders, she wondered why her long-lost cousin was hesitant to approach her. When she was halfway between meeting Azalea and her home, she saw the limp that was unable to remain unnoticed. Her eyes widened and she softly whimpered, immediately regretting her desired howl for her cousin's quickness to increase. So, without hesitating, she pushed herself to a quicker pace, intending on meeting her before she got too far from where she had sat.

Her large frame left behind a trail in the thick snow, making it seem as though the edges had melted along the top layer. She ignored the path she left behind, knowing that it would be covered in a matter of minutes by the oncoming flurries. Red and blue eyes twinkled as her large paws hit the snow, steps remaining muffled as the heavily laden snow flew into the air around her. She resembled a puppy with a large body, but all the while, her mind was settling into her adult routines. Silently, she wondered how long it took Azalea to mature at such a young age.

As she got closer to her cousin, Odette also noticed her facial changes. One eye remained and a set of claw markings dashed across the vacant socket. Again, she wondered about Azalea, but pushed the curiosity aside and greeted her with a wide grin. Now, as she stood in front of her, she realized how much she had grown compared to their last encounter. She couldn't help but laugh at the last sentence of her greeting. "I suppose it is because you were already perfect," she teasingly said, grin widening at the smile Azalea gave her. "It's Papa's fault that I got so big. You know how our dads were." Her eyes then flashed warmly, showing that she remembered her dad in the fondest of ways. "Azalea Adravendi...what have you been up to all this time?"
