Okay guys, so, I want more lands for Alacritis, and this also goes hand in hand with a new rule that is probably going to be applied to the site, (you guys will srsly love) and, honestly, we could have so many more places to roleplay, so, if you want to create some ideas, we will add them to the board.
What do you need to do?
-----------------------
-Create a name
-4 sentence description (recommended)
-is it north south east or west?
whoever we pick the most lands from will receive a free accessory for one of their characters, or, 300 gems.

Name -- Ibis Islands
Description -- On the east coast of Alacritis lies a chain of small islands accompanied by one rather large island. The large island is very far from the shore, but can be accessed by paddling from small island to small island, taking a rest once in awhile. This large island is home to palm trees and tropical birds, as well as a small variety of prey animals not found on the mainland. A couple of small mountains make the island very visible from the coast of the mainland, as well as provide shelter by way of (bat-filled) caves, and fresh water flowing down in the form of creeks, rivers, and waterfalls.
Location -- East

-Cathedral Point
-Cathedral Point sits at the northeastern tip of Alacritia. There it stands, a frozen beacon of ice with sharp spires reaches toward the sun and an archway that leaned toward the ocean. The magnificent shoots of ice are really the only thing special about the place. The ever present wind has blown the land smooth of any blemishes.
-north
-Monument Rapids
-Located at the heart of the East, Monument Rapids is found on the river that runs from the lake through to Ludicael. Sitting about ten miles from where the river forks, here the body of water grows narrower constricting the water. The angry river rages wildly forming dangerous rapids covered in white froth and spotted with jagged rocks. Crossing is possible but to make an error can cost you your life.
-East
-Weeping Woods
-A magical location made up from a small wood of willow trees. Streams play around the roots or maybe it was the other way around. The trees bend and sway in the breeze and trickle into the pure water that gives them life. It is a very calm place, very serine.
-South
-Palmetto Wash
-Just as its name suggests, Palmetto Wash is a splash of land located near the western edge of the desert. Sand colored stone hills border this sandy wash, all that remains of an ancient pool of water now long forgotten. The Palmetto trees thrive here, breaking from what solid soil they can find. In the wet season this area floods, providing the tough trees with water to last them lost the year.

Name - Buffalo Knolls
Description - Locked in the upper portion of the Y-shaped intersection of the South's three-way intersection, Cryptic Knolls is a sight to be hold. Large, hill-shaped structures, all spread evenly from each other, thickly inhabit what was once smooth terrain. In some parts, thin trees have grown upon the large structures, but all other are coated with thick, lush grass with taste unmatched. On the spaces between the mounds, buffalo often graze, but never once do they set foot upon the odd slopes. Perhaps they can hear the thunder of the hooves of their brethren passed within the burial grounds of those who hunted them. Maybe if you listen, too, you may be able to find the small, nearly-sealed entrances into each of the ancient, unstable Indian burial grounds...

public enemy #1
crawl. crawl more. drag your hands and knees across the destruction left in my wake to the ends of the earth. there's a green light of a shining star in my sky and there will not be an obstacle i will not overcome until i cup that star in my palms. the void in my will has been filled with purpose. so crawl. crawl more, love.

name ? algoma prairie
description ? Located almost dead-center of the island, Algoma Prairie is a beautiful patch of land that is consistently teeming with a multitude of flora aside from the wintertime, when a thin layer of snow blankets the grassy expanse and the winter winds strip the flora of their petals. Towards the eastern edge of the prairie resides a small creek not even deep enough to consume the smallest of puppies, providing any who cross it with the opportunity to cool down or replenish their thirst. The prairie is a hot-spot for grazing animals such as deer and elk, but it also serves as a home for smaller prey like rabbits, making it an ideal location for hunting.

name saratoga wood
description What was once a deciduous forest teeming with both plant and animal life has been reduced to nothing but ash and soot. Fallen trees ridden of their leaves and fruits are the sole remains littering the debris-encrusted floor of the Saratoga Wood that recently experienced a vehement forest fire, never able to recover from the tragedy. The prominent aroma of smoke lingers in the air still shrouded with dust particles, complicating breathing here slightly. The once-wood is now as desolate as can be, for neither prey nor predator wish to permanently bed in an area void of food or water.

Name: Emerald Valley
Description: Named for the color of the lush grasses that grow thick and sweet in the warm seasons, this valley is all that remains of a great freshwater lake that dried away in the past few years. Large prey flock to this place during Spring and Summer, taking advantage of the easy grazing, meaning better chances for successful hunting for Predators. A river winds lazily through the valley, sparkling and clear, with soft, sandy shores here and there. Smaller prey animals make their homes here year around, in burrows and warrens. Stretching ten miles in either direction, this Valley is located near Valhalla.
Location: West
Name: Moontouched Cliffs
Description: These cliffs stand an impressive two hundred feet above the eastern sea shore of Alacritis. At the top grows a lush field of wildflowers, and one could be fooled into thinking that there was no danger ahead. Wrong. The field breaks off as though a giant bear had pried the land away with it?s claws, and eaten the other half. The sheer wall is comprised of white stone, glittering here and there with mineral deposits. Maybe even an occasional gold vein. Far below, a narrow strip of white sand makes up the beach, reachable only by a narrow trail only those brave or foolhardy at heart would take.
Location: East
Name: Sea?s Plain
Description: This place is set at the southern coast. Every inward tide, brackish water floods this area. Teeming with life, the water is not palatable, but if one is a good show at fishing, there are plenty of fish to be had. On Low tide, the beach is bared to the sun, and other kinds of sea food can be found, if a wolf doesn?t mind digging. Crypress Trees, young and old grow sparsely apart, wide bases standing strong against storms and thriving in the brackish water.
Location: South
Name: The Silver Snakes
Description: A braided river that stretches along the western edge of Alacritis. Far enough inland to be sweet, clean water, the river winds and twists in among itself in it?s bed of sand and stone. The course it takes is never set in stone. One year a strand of the river could be all off on it?s own, then next, that strand?s course can have changed and rejoined the main body. At either edge of the Riverbed, heavy growths of young alder, willow, and other riverside and streamside plants clot the area. It?s a common place to find prey, and there are many fine den sites that could make this place a good claim for a pack.

I guess this isn't very specific, because I don't have a specific idea...
BUT
What if we add subsections to pack lands? Each pack has their territory already, and within that territory we could add a good hunting/fishing spot, a designated sort of den area, a specific meeting place, etc.
If you like this idea, perhaps we could have members with wolves in packs offer ideas for their designated pack lands?
Just a thought!

the lands are already sub forums. you can't have sub-sub forums. they are how they'll have to be.

-Tall Grass planes
-A large stretch of land that is relatively flat. It is a lush place, full of grasses that reach up to even the tallest creatures chest and many lovely flower that attract many insects and rodents. But even though the land is full of vegetation very few trees are seen dotting the place, making finding shade almost impossible. Add that to the fact that streams are few and far between be warned brave soul, Do not enter this land in the height of summer, for you may never find your way out.

here's my attempt. I'll add as I get more.
Glacier's Heart
Bright blue ice surrounds the dark hole that leads deep under the glacier. A small stream runs out of the entrance, it's cold water incredibly refreshing. The further laying cave was created totally by ice, choose your steps wisely. Beware the ever changing inner sanctum.
North
The Hot Springs
Burstig forth from a pearlescent formation comes warm spring water. The fountain pours out into half moon pools that cover the land like scales. Large trees surround the lake to give a sense of privacy. The depth of each pool differs, so be careful which bath you decide to lounge in. Also, take care not to ingest too much of the water. Poisons from the volcanic activity can be fatal.
East
Soul Sand Cove
A shark's bite has been taken out of the coast. Surrounding it: huge pillars of red black lava rock. Within it: a soft crescent black sand beach. Strong old palms litter the boundaries, their presence aiding in a tropical look. Bitterly cold is the areas usual temperature, but on some hot summer days you can dip your feet in comfortably.
North
Whisperer's Gorge
There used to be a river that ran through the smooth formation of rock, but it sank deep into the earth. What's left is a labyrinth of caves and passageways. Large and small rooms alike can be found, as well as hidden treasures. Some places you can easily see the surface light, but if you go further there's something else that will glow.
West
Fern Gulley ;D
A beautiful cut out of the earth that is packed tightly with an incredible amount of plant and animal life. Brightly colored flowers bloom plentifully throughout the garden. Rare herbs flourish in this small area, which makes it prime area for a healer to scout. Be sure you know your plants though, there are as many helpful as there are harmful.

Obsidian Beach - South
Here lies the beach of mysteries. This beach is cloaked in black, given that it's sand is actually fine broken up granules of obsidian. At noon each day the beach is set aglow by the sun's light, given the fact that obsidian is highly reflective. At midnight it glows by the light of the moon. Perhaps the time it is the most alluring is during a lightning storm, when the obsidian turns into a light show.
Breakneck Valley - West
Hulking, sizable rock formations lay dormant in this valley. Some were carved by long since dried up rivers, while others were sculpted by the wind. These rocks dwarf the wolves several times, but offer everything from shelter to lookout posts, and the occasional cave. The air is dry and arid here, but when it rains... it pours.
Stylianos Crypt - East
Deep down in the bowels of the earth wanders the crypt. A wolf who slips inside could be lost for hours, or even days. Within the crypt are various chambers and vaults which provide shelter from the elements of the outside world, but are also known to be a tomb for animals incapable of escaping. The crypt is not for the faint of heart, for if you have little courage you may never see the light of day again.

Crystallum Cliffs (in the east)
A sudden drop in the thicket leads to a surprisingly tall cliff side. The slope of the rocks is almost completely linear, leaving little to no leverage to crawl back up. Should you fall in, you have to swim to safety on the other side. The water below is icy and still enough to reflect the rocks towering above it. It gives the appearance of a longer fall than it really is.
Submerged Woods (in the north)
What was once a pleasant woody area high between the tops of two mountains was submerged when a normally dammed river overflowed and filled the space. Trees that were over twenty feet tall are submerged here, and because of the consistent freezing temperatures, the greenery below has stayed green. During the winter and spring it freezes over completely, making for an incredible spectacle, as only the tops of the trees peek through the ice.
Whistling Willows (in the west)
Tall draping willows are the only trees in this area - and they hang to the point of nearly touching the ground. The trees here are constantly pushing and pulling, swaying with the wind. They lead to a good sized pond, covered in lily pads and teeming with frogs and fish.
Untilled Orchard (near the range, in the south)
Various fruit bearing trees grow here. They are tall, having survived the test of time, despite the humans that planted them being long gone. They are aligned into neat rows, and consist of apple trees, cherry trees, orange trees and lemon trees. As the fruit is edible many different kinds of animals make their home here.
Gambit Briar (in the south)
A messy conglomerate of brier plants, full of thorns and very little paths through it that don't end up piercing the unfortunate souls that wander in. Small birds live here and can be heard, but are rarely seen. It is easy to get lost, and younger wolves can easily wander in and bleed to death - travelers be warned.
Delusion's Pool (in the south)
Surrounded by briers at all sides, this little pool of water is both insignificant and stunning. It remains remarkably clean, despite its surroundings and wounded visitors. It is fed by an underground well, and is constantly being filtered. There are small fish that live in the pool that make for a decent meal. Because of the foreboding surroundings and overall stillness, whispers are said to be heard when one lingers for too long. This pool is both a blessing and a curse.
Rustling Thicket (in the east)
The grasses here can grow as tall as the creatures that wander in. There are many bushes here as well that grow even taller, and block out the light just as well as a gathering of trees. There are many, many small birds that make their homes here and can constantly be heard fluttering overhead.

i stole aly's style these aren't exactly realistic, but only because willows grow beside water, not in them, and bioliminescent plankton probably would not survive under ice. but they're unique and sound cool, so i'm trying xD
name fletu bayou (or weeping instead of fletu, if you like english more)
description one by day, another by night. this petty weeping willow-infested marshland is riddled with alligator gar and snapping turtles; a risky and dangerous trek through murky, knee-high waters littered with driftwood and croaking residents. but after sun down - the beauty comes comes out of the beast. fireflies alight the water's surface and illuminate shrooms clutching to the willows' bark; shiny fish scales reflect the moonlight as they push toward the surface and disappear into the murk again. the entire place is aglow.

description a long frozen lake, this area is useful to predators and prey no more. its sole purpose now? purely entertainment. rising ice pillars jut from the surface, some bowing under gravity and reconnecting to create a natural arch, while most simply break under the pressure. but the real entertainers here are the bioluminescent plankton - which will glow beneath the ice with each step you take.

description a long frozen lake, this area is useful to predators and prey no more. its sole purpose now? purely entertainment. rising ice pillars jut from the surface, some bowing under gravity and reconnecting to create a natural arch, while most simply break under the pressure. but the real entertainers here are the bioluminescent plankton - which will glow beneath the ice with each step you take.

Location: North
Name: Caves of the Past
Description: Offering a nice shelter in the side of a mountain, carved out over time by the winds, lies a small system of caves. The caves were once used by humans a long time ago, the evidence of their presence shown on the walls. Covering the walls are strange colors and shapes. Most pups would be clueless of these images, but an adult would be able to tell these were cave paintings left by the humans. They represent many things, humans, animals, mountains, plants, the seas. The caves offer good protection from the elements, and even have escape holes in case something were to be lurking in the shadows.

NORTH
Waterfall Peak
The name of Waterfall Peak is nothing too complex, just a combination of words that signify the main descriptive points of the location. Slate grey cliffs rise out of the ground on the southern border of the north lands. It rarely freezes over here outside of Winter but snow in Autumn is not uncommon. The lone stone mountain has only three ways up it and the highest you can climb still leaves you a good 26 meters from the tip of the mountain. A waterfall plummets over half way up the mountain. This water flows from the north making it bitingly cold but extra fresh and crystal clear. Below the stone mountain it is heavy with foliage except for the at the edge of the pool created by the waterfall.

Name- Serpents Pass
Description- Much like many of the caves in the north serpents pass is a cold collection of small skinny ice caves. It is easy to get lost in them, but makes for perfect shelter during storms. Snow rabbits enjoy to hang around the entrances of these many caves that dig a few feet underground. Temperatures can get rather low though, it is not recommended to stay in them after dark.
Place- North
Name- Hajime's Platform
Description- Taking a few snowy steps higher onto a platform of frozen weeping willows encased in ice Hajime's Platform is known for it's beauty during the full moon. During summer months snow still covers the ground, but the weeping willows are in bloom, during the winter they are often frozen. The platform is high off the ground and off to the edge is a large drop onto the ground. While fun, there is caution not to slip off the edge.
Place- North
That's all I got....and they're pretty lame.
