It seemed like the pain was not going to subside. The thought that she was even going to last, almost seemed impossible. Her emerald eyes were dim, the brightness from them almost seemed like no life emanated from them. Blood dripped from her nostrils and her lips as a small puddle of blood formed underneath her chin. The sounds were causing her ears to ring, making it uncomfortable as every sound, and as well as breathing seemed like she was put through torture.

The woman began to think about her pups. She had to hang on to say good bye to her pups, for she needed someone to look after them. She knew that she might not make it much longer as her breathing became slight more faint than usual. Every pack member were probably busy or at the meeting, but she wished that she could say thank you to Bass, as well as say good bye to her pups and look for someone else to raise and teach them. A tear ran down her eye, she wished she would be able to see her pups grow up and mature, but it seemed the God's were calling her to the other world.

The pup was somehow led astray from his usual childish games. After exploring some of Abaven's territories, the young boy's nose caught the warm scent of his mother close by. Putting his senses to good use, he decided to track his mother's position like a hunter would with prey. He hoped that when he found her, she could tell him a story or teach him hunting moves.
Never had it occurred to him that it would not be one of those days.
The first thing that his eyes spotted was the blood dripping from his mother's nostrils and lips and her dull, lifeless gaze. She looked like she was in pain. This wasn't how she normally looked, was it? She looked sick! He rushed over to the ebony woman in complete worry and astonishment.
"What's wrong, mama?" He demanded with a squeal. "Are you sick? I can get a healer!"
He frantically looked around for other wolves to come help, but he seemed to be the only one. He couldn't save her on his own. Wasn't anyone going to aid his mother? Surely, someone had to show up.

Just thought I'd let you know Alvin will not be posting until Esper actually dies. so that the thread can continue on!

Seeing what had happened here from the mouth of the den, Alvin had taken his own shelter from behind their home. But he was no where near sorrowful at the sight or thought that it was only he and his two brothers now.

His mind would snap back into place as he heard Tinaro, not knowing which of the brother's it was, shuffle his way to greet the bloodied mess. And so he rose from the back and trailed around to the mouth of the den where he took a seat to the side and listened to his brother plead for help.

Alvin thought no such thing when he laid eyes on their dying mother. In fact, right now he let a grin slip up his cheek. He was truly wicked, seeing no evil in the world. In a way that was only meant for torment. Esperanza leaving wouldn't take a toll on his life. Maybe on Tinaro or Mingan. But for him, it was almost like a game he had to go through. Though he was a victorious antagonist.

He sat just far enough so that when Tinaro sprung out for help, he wasn't in sight unless the boy went for a lap around the place; for anyone else to approach, they could see them both. But would anyone come along? Surely there was no good in anyone. Everyone had to be just like Alvin, he was just a level up and daring as ever.

Esperanza was in immense pain. Every time she moved was torture, as well as her breathing. It seemed as I the Gods were torturing her, but, she would deal with the pain until some of the pack showed up, whether it would be a healer or someone who could watch over her sons while she was in the next world. Every time the ebony woman thought about them being alone, she became upset that this had to happen so soon. She may have been six years old, but, she still had some more years ahead of her. Her emerald eyes focused on Tinaro as he frantically was trying to find someone who could help her. She was happy that he would go through this amount of trouble just to help her, but, he was her son and did not have to worry about trying to help her so much. The woman tried to stand, but, soon slumped back down upon the floor of the den and coughed up some more crimson. She was dying, and she knew no healer would be able to save her from dying.

"Tinaro..." she coughed weakly, her dull and lifeless audits focused in on the small form that was her son. She knew Alvin was outside, but did not make him come inside if he wished to. She wished for someone to look after her boys, but, most of the pack was either hunting, at the meeting, or doing other things that needed to be done. "Come inside...there is something....I must tell you," she spoke weakly, yet audible enough for Tinaro to hear. Alvin would be able to hear her from outside the den if he was listening well enough.

He felt tempted to go and visit the pups to pull them away for their first lesson as wolves and trainees of Abaven and it's ways so they white boy with the grey circled eyes of sapphire blue would push towards the den he knew to house Esperanza and her children. Something  felt wrong as he arrived at the cave and concern took hold in his body. He rushed into the cave only to see a dying mother with her children around her and pain hit him instantly. He had kept it shoved away for so long but these memories resurfaced within him. Those poor children had lost their father before they had been born... now they were loosing their mother too. Esperenza and Chrono's children had to live just like Darrah and his siblings... orphans. Well not if he could help it. "Esperanza... what happened?" He tried his best to keep calm for the pups.

Esperanza's pain continued to surround her body. She could feel her heart begin to slow down, but it still had enough energy to keep beating. The sound of a familiar wolf whom she had seen a couple times, reverberated in her lobes. She could see that he was approaching her, his grey and sapphire eyes focusing on her emerald ones as a shot of pain caused her to wince in pain. She focused back on Darrah, pain still surrounding her body as blood continued to drip from her nostrils, as well as her lips. She went to try and stand, but, nothing was keeping her up. Not even the concern of one of her pups could even help her fight the illness that plagued her body.

"Darrah...please...take care...of Tinaro, Alvin, and Mingan for me..." She spoke to him in a somewhat whisper, but still loud enough for him to hear. Every breath she took was agony in her eyes as she sounded like she was pleading for him to take them in. He was to be their trainer, and it was good that he happened to come when he did.

Only Darrah and Alvin showed up and both gave little help. It was at that point in time the pup finally realized it. There wasn't going to be any help for his mother. She was too sick. And what happens when you're too sick?
Death. Just like what happened to father.
He slowly trotted closer to Esperanza, lifting his muzzle so he could look up at his mother. She wanted to tell him something, but what was it? His inquiry came out like a shaky whisper. Was he scared? Scared of losing his remaining parent? "Yes?"
He had somehow lived this season peacefully without a father but now his little mind couldn't even imagine life without both parents. Who was next to leave? His brothers? They weren't all going to leave him, were they? He looked back to the young boy known as Darrah. Tinaro didn't know him, except for a brief mention in the meeting. The pup only thought of him as a future mentor, not a protector.

Esperanza moaned in pain. She wished she could be alive so that she could watch her pups grow into adults, but the thought of it only made her heart ache. Every time she would talk to her pup, pain coursed through her body as she coughed up a small amount of blood, but it was dripping down her lips and onto the ground of the den that she and her pups lived in. Her emerald eyes looked into Tinaro's as she gave a small sigh, "My young pup, I won't be with you...anymore..." She winced and weakly placed her paw upon his shoulder and she closed her eyes, she was still alive, but her life was beginning to slip away.

"Darrah...since you're going to be training my pups...could you please watch over them for me...?" She asked the brute, her eyes showing a pleading glance. Every single time she spoke, she only wished that her pups understood about her death and that she would not be with them. "Tinaro, be good for Darrah, I will be in your dreams...And, hopefully, when your time comes...we will see each other again."
