The pains had been short and brief which had been her one telltale sign that the time had come, She had slowly waddled her way back to the den in order to get to a safe haven of shorts. Deep breathes quickly followed as she looked around the confined space for Suka. "Suka?" She called out, hoping that he was nearby. She wouldn't want him to miss this! The pains slowly intensified as she winced at them. She allowed herself another deep breathe. No wonder every child she had delivered had been followed by yelps of pain and sometimes even stick biting. "Suka?" She called it out a little louder. She couldn't do it without him. She needed him in order to do this.

While he had not been within the den, Ritsuka had not strayed far from where Elli had picked out her densite. Females knew best for that sort of thing, and Suka trusted her judgement whole heartedly. He would breathe in gaze scouting the area around the densite he was patrolling. It was a fairly small area that he chose to keep enclosed, at least right now. He wanted to be close when it was time, and keep the scent markers strong. No beast would come between him and his family... and never would he let anyone hurt them. They would be strong little warriors, intelligent, swift, perhaps even a healer somewhere in the mix. Whatever his children chose to grow up to be Ritsuka would support with all his heart. His whole heart. They were to be his family... his family with Elli. Body would turn, ears pricking as he thought he heard a voice. The man would pause, and the second time, when spoken louder, he knew. Ritsuka would abandon everything, going directly to his beloved's side.

Somewhere deep in his gut he knew the reason that Elli had called him. There was no need to speak about the manner of her call, only to keep calm, and to stay with her during this beautiful moment. Ritsuka would breathe in, trying to stay calm, as he gently let his tongue roll across her ear. "I am here now, my love. Deep breaths..." His eyes were shining, excitement, tinged with nervousness, under the surface. He would practically bounce upon his paws, focused on his beloved mate, and he would give a soft, happy whine. "I can't believe the time has finally come."

Elli did not have to wait long for the man she called her mate to arrive at her side. He spoke encouraging words to her and he looked excited, nervous, and a whole mess of good emotions. He said he couldn't believe the time had come and she made a small joke. "I can." She took another deep breath as she tried to focus on one particular thing. Another immense pain hit her and she started to push. Slowly, she delivered one child, soon followed by another one and then eventually the last one. By the time she had finished, she felt a sense of relief. She would comb through the fur of her three daughters, licking them to get the blood flow going through all of them before nuzzling them towards her stomach. She gave a relieved look to Suka, a bright smile on her face. It had taken ages for her to deliver them but they were worth it. She felt ready to sleep... but she had to name them. "Our three beautiful baby girls." She said in a soft manner as she waited for him to speak.

She was being forced away from the only home that she knew and she didn't like it. The air was chilling compared to the inside of her mother's stomach and her mother's licking didn't help the fact as she fought to curl up against the stomach and scent that she knew well. With that she curled up in the warmest spot she could find. She took a deep breathe as she began to suckle at the woman's breast. Little Aleksa had been one of the three daughters. Distorted voices were filling the air but she ignored them, not realizing what they meant.

Sorya, the last born child, had been peaceful and content with the changes that were happening around her. She wriggled as she entered the world. She tried to find the warmth just as her sister had. Her eyes were soft and shut as she felt her mother's cool tongue slide across her fur to get her blood circulating. She let out a soft mew as she was nudge towards her mother's stomach and placed in the middle of the small litter of three. She would settle in, feeling the warmth radiating off of everyone around her as she began to suckle at her mother's stomach. Man she was hungry!

She was the first to enter the world, out of the safety of the womb that she had been carefully growing within. The girl was more in the image of her father, a mix of tan and sable, a bit of gray upon her legs. She would squeal as the cool air washed over her body, warmth in the form of a wet tongue cleaning her bodice. She would squirm around as her mother cleaned away all the gunk, introduced to a world cold and beautiful, where journeys aplenty awaited her. Soon she would be moved to her mother’s side, watched over by her father as two other pups, her sisters, were expelled into the world. For the girl, not yet named, there was only one thing that needed her focus -- feeding and sleeping. There was still some growing to do before she was conscious enough to do much else.
