It was a mutual decision to leave the children in better hands. To let them grow strong within a home with a powerful reputation. They would serve their king and queen and make them proud. Whether it be through healing, hunting, fighting or just loyalty. Desireé wouldn't be able to give them the opportunities that Arcanum could, she wouldn't be able to protect them both to her full ability, or atleast not in the way she'd hope. It was for the best, and she knew that this wouldn't be the last time she would see them. Her time in ala was over, she finally realised. It no longer held any desire for her. The purple nymph would keep her steps fast and calculated, halting just before the borders. Her crown would turn to look at her wife, a smile blossoming upon her inky lips. Her gaze would then travel to her two children, hoping they'd understand that this was for the better and this way, they'd be able to meet much more wolves to help them grow. Desireé would call for the leaders and would simply wait for their arrival.

The girl was awoken from her sleep within the early morning. Though little did she know that the beach will no longer be her home. Millicent would follow her mothers on the journey, asking no questions as to why they were travelling so far. At the beginning the girl would remain excited and attempt to annoy her sister, though as it neared towards the end she was growing rather tired and it felt like her legs were on the verge of collapsing. She would keep up the pace of her parents, though instead of walking she appeared to be running. Her golden gaze would scan the area before her, the strong scent of a pack tickling her nose. Her tail would flick repeatedly against her heels, wow- what's happening? " Are we finding a new home!? Will i be able to make friends? Will they all like me?" Her voice will remain high pitch, her eyes filled with wonder and hope. She stayed close to Absinthe's side. She noticed her youngest sister was gone and no longer with the family, though the purple babe dared to ask no questions. Millicent also had no clue about death.

and it's our time now if you want it to be, maul the world like a carnival bear set free

Woken in the early morning by her mama and her mommy, the little colourful family had been spirited away from all they knew. The birds were just beginning to sing the day into being, and the sky was the colour of a dove's wing. The lass knew not what was going on, her sleepy mind was still trying to figure out why they were going somewhere at such an early hour. The grass beneath her pallid toes was still cool with morning dew, and her toes had long since become cold and soggy as they walked. The girl was too tired to try and speak, so she simply clung to her parents' flanks and gazed balefully up at them for a lot of the early hours of the trip. Why did mama look so troubled? Those purple hued features, so similar to her own, were tainted by an emotion that made the girl's tummy hurt. A flutter of panic arose in her chest, making it a little hard to breathe comfortably. Had she done something wrong? Was mama mad at her? Her brows drew together, a knot of tension forming between them as a mournful expression started to make her round eyes even bigger. "Mama...?" Hesitant lyrics would inquire softly, trembling weakly for fear that her mama might be mad at her. What had she done? The lavender child could remember no wrongdoings that would make her mama want to take her somewhere else. Where were they going now? Were her mommies going to leave them somewhere? Were they gonna sell her and her sister to someone? No! She loved her mommies, she didn't want them to go away ever!

Milli kept pestering her, and she wanted to mess around too, but her heart just wasn't into it right now. The violet darling just wanted to lay down and sleep, and rest her head on mama's belly and listen to the thudding of her heart. She wanted to play with mommy too, and talk with her about all of her adventures. When they stopped, she was going to make them do that, so they knew she loved them. Yeah, that was it. Her tummy started to growl as they started getting further into the western lands, and the girl found herself wanting nothing more than to collapse and have a nap, and eat something. It wasn't until then that she realized their other siblings was gone. Even though she'd never had the chance to get close to them, she kind of missed their ever napping presence. Were they gonna be alright?

The trek had been arduous, her feet were starting to ache now. No one really said anything, but they stopped outside of a place that smelled like more wolves than the girl could ever recount encountering in her short life. Her mismatched eyes were wide with wonder, but she found herself hiding behind the legs of her mommy. Vi would protect her from all the wolves, right? A small whimper would escape her. She didn't like it here, not one bit. A low song trickled from her mama's throat as she tipped her head back, and the lass was afraid. Who was mama calling for? Her gaze found mommy Vi, who hadn't really sad much over the course of the trip. Did she know what was going on? She noted that her sister was absolutely jubilant about this, gleeful and excited to see what would happen. The alabaster stained features of the smaller whelp had seen the expressions of their parents, and she was far from happy about what might happen here. Her sister drew closer to her side, which made the girl feel a little more secure. "Why are we here, mama?" The petite purple girl asked her mother quietly, her voice barely rising above a whisper. Her body was absolutely exhausted, but adrenaline was starting to fuel her as she found herself frightened by the prospects of what might happen here. Her earlier fears were coming back, and the tightening in her throat spelled the arrival of tears. Bicoloured orbs became glassy with tears, overwhelmed by everything that had happened today. Her rump fell heavily to the grassy floor beneath her, cheek resting against mommy Vi's crimson foreleg. Everything needed to stop happening right now, she just wanted everything to be okay again, and maybe to have a nap.

sometimes I just wanna sit around and gaze at my shoes

kinda forgot about this o.o also not sure if Vi is 'present'

A call would ring out, pulling her towards the border. It was vaguely familiar, but once she lad eyes on her guests, she knew immediately. Desiree, and Vi. A slow smile would lift the corners of her lips. She would approach, seeking to stop several feet before the purple woman, and her children? Her gaze would lower to the two children at her feet, both as uniquely colored as their mother. But last she checked, Desiree and Vi were mates. And as far as she knew, two females could not reproduce. An affair, perhaps? It would explain Vi's absence. "Desiree, its good to see you again. Is everything alright?" Silver ears craned towards the woman, her crown tipping fractionally to the side in question. Coral gaze briefly left the purple woman in favor the scenery behind her, perhaps Vi was simply lagging behind? But out of vague politeness, she would return her gaze to the woman, looking expectantly at her.

There was dread and worry gathering in the pit of her stomach, she felt lost and confused despite agreeing to this. She didn't want to leave the children, she wanted a second chance at motherhood but truth was that they still had enemies out there, she still had enemies. She had already had one daughter brainwashed and kidnapped. She was maimed, her leg giving her more and more problems every day, she couldn't protect them forever like she wanted to. That was why she had agreed to this. Who better to raise her children then her brother and friend. But still. It hurt. Maybe that was why she had been so silent through their trek, had been hushed and legged behind their little train. Desiree had kept a slower pace for the children but honestly Vi wouldnt have been able to go any faster even if she wanted to. Absinthe hung back with her, worried despite her sisters glee and joy. Millicent would bound and pester her sister despite the almost blek attitude that would follow the convoy. They could come to Arcanum boarders fairly swiftly all things considered. Millicent asking questions while Absinthe pressed herself into Vi's leg and stared up at her with worried eyes. "Yes my sweet. This will be your new home. You get to meet your Uncle Kylar and Auntie Cataleya. I'm sure everyone will love you. How could they not with how beautiful you are..." Despite her forced smile there was sadness in her tone as she drew in a deep breath and forced herself to look down at Absinthe. "We're going to meet my brother and his wife..." Vi would say softly, the simple task of not allowing her voice to crack being almost too much. Cataleya would arrive a moment later and Vi would smile at her before motioning to her daughters to greet her. "Children this is your Aunt Cat. Cat, these are Millecent, and Absinthe, our daughters..." Vi would say, motioning to each as she named them with her maimed leg, motions jerky and sharp at best before she would rest it back on the ground. She would stop there, Desiree has birthed them, she would make the final decision. She could back out. They could try and take the children with them... It wasn't a trip for children though, Vi know that in her heart. She would allow Desiree to explain as she leaned down to gently lap at Absinthe's face.

For the first moment only silence would answer her call. Though, with the little moments she had to spare she would think about the children. Wasn't this for the better? to have an active up bringing and better protection? of course, it was. But some part of Desireé wished to be selfish and keep them, though that would turn out for the worst for all. A sigh would slip her lips, momentarily forgetting about all of her troubled thoughts. She would see Cataleya approach them, and the purple nymph would quickly meet vi's knowing now there plans were set in stone. " Cat, It's nice to see you again" She would pause for a moment, before going straight on topic, after all they weren't here for chitchat. " Our children need a place to stay and grow strong. Me and Vi will not be able to provide for them as well as we would wish, and we've both decided it's best to put our children under the protection of Arcanum if you allow it. With you." Desiree Didn't trust very many, though she knew she could rely on the queen. She would see Absinthe slump onto the floor as though this was the worst thing in the world, though Desiree could only hope she'd see the bright side in all of this. Atleast Millicent Seemed excited and keen to please.

Absinthe would look up at her and Vi would stare down at her for what felt like eternity even as Desiree spoke to Cataleya and explained their whole situation and everything they wanted. Vi never looked away from her daughter until a lull would fall over them all and only then would the red woman close her eyes, head hanging slightly before looking to Cat and smiling softly. "Would you allow us to stay here with our daughters for a bit...? Make sure they settle in. Catch up... See the family." She hadn't seen Basanti since she was as small as Vi's daughters now, hadn't seen her brother since Cat and him had wanted to take Basanti and flee Ala's disease ridden lands. Vi would cast lantern gaze to Desiree, hopeless and pleading. Would her wife understand? Would she see that Vi wanted to stay and hold onto their family for just a little bit longer even if it was a fleeting thing...

Surprise had her eyebrows lifting. Never had she expected Vi or Des to want their children to grow up here, without them. The only thing she could understand is that they wanted their children to be safe. She remained silent for a moment. She was very much aware that they were asking her to take care of their children. "Of course. I will watch over them, raise them along side Viola and Aster." Vi would speak up, wanting to stay for a bit. A soft smile would touch her lips. "Of course. You are always welcome here." Her gaze would lower to the two girls. They would make the quite the addition. She would raise them just as her own, teaching them to be skilled warriors, teaching them that they would one day wear crowns on their heads. She would have children that would follow in her footsteps, forever leaving her mark on this dreadful place. "Come, lets get you all settled." She would grant them permission into her home, stepping aside so they could do so freely.

fall to your knees, bring on the rapture, blessed be the boys time can't capture

ooc. I'm sorry about feels

It was all so strange, this impromptu trek across the lands of Alacritis to this place she knew nothing of, and the air around them was charged with energy. A woman would approach, just as mommy Vi finished explaining that this would be their new home. A soft whine would escape minuscule jaws, mismatched eyes wide with shock. "Wha's wrong with the black beach?" Confused lyrics would inquire softly, brows knitting in bewilderment. Was there something wrong with their home as it was? Were the fish upsetting her mommies? Or the constant lullaby of the waves? What in the world could ever prompt her mommies to make her leave the only home she'd known? It wasn't long before the crimson woman who sheltered the babe between her forelimbs made jerky gestures with her hurt leg, introducing the two girls to a woman called Cat. Cool! But, she doesn't look much like a cat.. She thought to herself, trying not to frown in confusion. It all disappeared quickly, the excitement of meeting new family prompting the violet babe to break out into a huge smile. "Aunty Cat!" She cried out not two seconds after her mommy finished speaking, testing out the name on her tongue. It was nice, simple. Mommy Vi stooped to lather her in affection, and she grinned, returning the kisses eagerly.

Suddenly the real bombshell dropped, and exploded right in the babe's face. What? Stay here, without her mommies? Breath would hitch in her tiny throat, the entire world shuddering to a halt. Why? Why would her mommies leave her here, didn't they love her?

Slowly, she would feel her cheeks growing unbearably hot, and her eyes stung viciously. Suddenly she found herself clinging to the uninjured foreleg of her mommy, choking on hot tears. Her chest heaved, but so far no sound would escape her. Why are you leaving me?! She wailed in her head, clutching desperately to her mommy. Don't you love me?! I love you! She continued, an unending mantra that wouldn't cease within the confines of her young mind. Glistening gaze would drift between her mommies, horrified and desperate to make them stay forever. Finally, the dam burst, and tears spilled from her eyes, falling silently over her downy cheeks. Mama Des was just ready to give her away, and mommy Vi wasn't saying nothing about it. White hot anger started to build in her tiny chest, outrage at her parents betrayal of her.

Mommy Vi finally thought to look down at her, amber optics meeting with glassy bicoloured orbs. Silently she pleaded, unable to get out words as hiccuping sobs started to fall from her jaws uncontrollably. Please don't leave me, I love you! Mommy! Her eyes shouted, and the silence seemed to drag on forever before her mothers baleful expression turned on Aunty Cat. She wanted to stay. Just for a little while, she added. A little while? Outrage filled her again, a harsher sound escaping her in the form of a choked whimper. Why didn't she want to stay forever? After that, no one looked at poor little Abby for a while. She pawed dejectedly at her mothers leg, pressing her tear stained cheek against the crimson fur there and shutting her eyes. Already her sorrow was starting to beat like a drum against her fragile skull.

She was aware that her Aunty Cat was speaking again, accepting them as her own children. No! She didn't want to live here! She wanted to go back home to the black beach, and live with mama and mommy forever and never have to worry about them going away again! Her mostly quiet crying quickly turned to a caterwaul of rejection, a loud screech of indigence. "No!" She shrieked, getting to her wobbly feet and setting her stance firmly. She wasn't going anywhere but back home! Absinthe didn't want to be in this place, she didn't like it. The grass swaying in the wind was different from the quiet shh, shh, shh of the waves lapping up against the dark shore by her den. Sleep would be impossible. "I don't wanna be here, mama!" She cried, vocals cracking audibly. "Why are you gonna leave us here, mama? Don't you love us?" She whimpered, turning her watery eyes upon the lavender form of her birth mother. "Are you mad at me, mama? Is that why you're abandoning us here? What did I do, mama?" Her vocals were soft now, stance weakened as she gaze mournfully up at Desiree. This wasn't fair, she didn't even know why she'd made her mama so mad that she was gonna give her away. Frail body would droop, the exhaustion of the trek suddenly dropping down upon her with all it's might. Tail would fall limp at her rear, audits tilting back against her skull, though her fiery gaze remained alight, the occasional tear falling, crystalline, down her cheeks. She wanted to know what had made her mama do this to her and Milli.

and with the black banners raised as the crooked smiles fade
