A warm and fuzzy feeling fills the young girl as she swiftly crosses the trodden ground and through the dense, narrow thicket. She remains calm, keeping her eyes peeled for others in the area as she takes a deep breathe. What should she do next? There were many options, some more desirable than others. She wanted to follow her heart and find what was right for her but she knew she could not just stumble across love. Love had to be earned and deserved. She still does not deserve love after the way she turned away from her family. The chocolate woman's fur was catching on leaves and other things as she crosses this unfamiliar pathway.

Emerald eyes spot leaves rustling across the trees. Quil approaches, her curiosity piqued only to hear soft beats against the ground to signify moving. Rabbit tracks are all that is left in the damp spring dirt. She begins to follow the trail, her ebony legs moving lightly across the ground as she starts the hunt that will fend off her hunger for another day or two. The hunger and need for some kind of actions presents itself as she moves forward at her fastest pace. The rabbit comes into view. It is plump and defined, giving the young teenager the impression that it would be a decent meal.

The Arane Princess gives a final burst of speed as she tackles the plump hare. Quickly she ended it's life, saying a prayer to the gods for the prey that they had given her to eat before she settled down to eat her meal. Hunger showed in her eyes as she started to tear at and devour the loner's gift.

*Note to self: Set before Rhythm challenge*

Bass strolled through the thicket, pushing passed them with a grumble. They clung to his pale fur and tugged on it, making him snap towards them. A few stray branches still curled into his fur, making him shake his form to try and dislodge them. Great. He was going to have to get his wife to chew them out of his coat later... The Azat wasn't even sure why he had come here, he had two of his own amazing lands to wander. But the pups were getting more bold in wandering away from Abaven lands, and he himself just wanted to check them out. This was for sure one place that he wasn't keen on them coming to.

Golden eyes scanned the land, and it was then that he saw a chocolate wolf chasing after rabbit. He was the white lines running under their eyes, and his eyes grew wide as he gazed at the wolf. Lark? Had he followed him here? "Lark! What are you doing out here? I hope you didn't follow me without telling your mother!" He called, leaping over a small thicket brush to land closer to his son. But that is when he saw the dark legs, and the feminine frame. She was also smaller than his Lark, but they looked really similar... He blinked slowly, a sheepish smile spreading on his lips as his cheeks grew hot. "Oh... I'm so sorry Miss! My son looks like you, and um... from afar..." Flopping over to his rump he picked up his hind leg and scratched at his ear, trying to ease away the awkwardness that gripped at his chest. Oh crap... well if this wasn't the best meeting ever. "My name is Bass Destruction, I am the Azat, or Alpha, of a pack near here. Again I am terribly sorry about that...."

A voice begins to startle her as she looks up, tucking her rabbit underneath her front left leg she looks up to see a pure white coat  with markings similar to hers. She dips her head in greeting, keeping a friendly smile on her face as she tilted her head slightly to the side in a questioning manner. He began to apologize, saying that she looked like his son which made her unsure. Was that a compliment or a sincere apology? It sounds sincere in her mind so she decides to stick with that theory. "That is quite alright ser." She accepted the apology with a few more words before taking a larger bite into it.

It was not ladylike to eat while she is being talked to but Quil does not care too much for social aspects such as these. He introduces himself as Bass Destruction and he claims to be the alpha of a pack. He apologizes again and she speaks once more to assure him that it is alright. "It's alright, mistakes happen." She sounds cheerfully as she introduces herself. "I am Quil Arane, former princess of Ridgenstead as if it makes a difference. A former princess has little to no claim after all." The words were singed with bitter taste but she shakes her head, trying to remove such bitter topics from the situation. "Sorry, I should not be so dismal."

The girl took a bite of her rabbit, seemingly not even caring about the mix up that he had just just made. He felt silly for being so apologetic, but that is just who he was. He felt sorry for the mistake, even thinking her to be a boy! Gosh, what an idiot he was. She introduced herself as a former princess, a bitterness in her voice. He shook his head, taking a seat where he stood. He shrugged off her apology as she did to his own, not helping but letting out a small chuckle. "Bitterness is part of out nature, is it not? At times we cannot help what we feel, but it all happens and we can't do anything to stop it. No need stressing over something you can't change, right?" He said softly, giving her a quick once over now that they were closer. She seemed younger than him, but perhaps only by a year. "My family isn't from these parts either, I was born in a land called Ahlon. Where might Ridgenstead be? I have never heard of it before." With a tilt of his head, he wondered if he was stepping over some line. She seemed to be upset about it all, so perhaps he should not have said anything. Oh well, is not like he could take back his words now. If she wanted to know he would tell her of his past as well. Being in a pack for so long it wasn't often that he got to meet strangers, and it was holding his interest for sure.

He speaks out, defending the bitterness that she had just expressed towards those she had once considered family.  The words he speaks ring true through her ears and her gaze softens as her small and innocent smile grows slightly. “I suppose you are right. You are very wise, ser.” She agrees with his words as she shares these emotions with a nod. He makes a note, saying that his family is not from the area either and he tells her that he is from some foreign place that she had never heard of. She nods, making sure that he knows she was listening. He asks where her home was and she answers with a small hesitation taking place.

“Ridgenstead is in the far north, an arctic oasis of sorts.” The words are cool as she leaves the answer vague. It is a personal question to ask considering they had only met a few minutes prior. “Where is Ahlon?” Quil deemed the question acceptable because he had asked a question the same question. She keeps her head high and handles the smile on her face with great care. Nothing was more important than a smile. She takes another bite of her rabbit, her eyes glowing. Social interactions with others kept Quil alive.

The haunting past that she shares with no one in experience or words made her have cravings for these social interactions which was the main reason that she had not taken offense to Bass mistaking her for his son.
