It's getting close to sundown

Aleksa's eyes flashed open as she pushed herself up onto all four paws. She looked around the den, yawning in a rather loud manner. She turned to see her mother still sleeping along with her siblings. "Mum, wake up!" The eager girl nudged her mother with her nose.  It was the day, today was the day she would finally get to explore the unknown. Aleksa was by far a curious wolf who was determined to get what she wants. What she wanted was for her mother and siblings to wake up. The dusty sand colored girl raced towards the edge of the den, looking out into the blaring light outside with her eyes squinted. She had always wondered what was beyond her line of sight.
