OOC: Set right after the fight.

The adrenaline from the fight was quickly wearing off. The wounds weren't terrible, but that didn't make them hurt any less. It was in his best interest to get them looked at, but before he did he needed to ditch the kids. He'd left the parents to sort themselves and sour in their failures, but had taken the children with him. Their evaluation would come later, but they seemed to be in good shape despite the uselessness of their mother. Pausing in his journey, he woofed to alert Cascade to his presence. She managed their three on her own most of the time, so what was three more, right? "Talk" Think "You"

The boy trotted behind the mountain of a man, pretty much having to jump to keep up with his paces. He paid no mind to his siblings behind them, in fact they were rather souring up his mood. This was supposed to be an adventure for him but instead they were forced to come with him. Aw man, that was no fun at all! He was trying to get away from them. He peeked over his shoulder at them, kicking out his hind legs to try and scatter dirt towards their faces. There, suck on that! Turning back towards Valentine, he picked up the pace to try and walk at his left flank. Looking up, his white rimmed eyes were wide with wonder. He really had to look UP to see his face. He hoped that he was going to be that tall one day! "So when can I start training to fight stuff?" he asked, trying very hard not to trip over his massive paws. Perhaps he wasn't going to be as tall as the mountain wolf, but he was in that awkward pup stage when everything was trying to catch up.

When they paused at a den, Caesar lowered himself and peeked in. The tall blue dude had barked for someone, and he sniffed at the entrance. It smelled like their old den, did that mean that there were other puppies in there too? His nose wrinkled up as he stood at full height. Oh great, more puppies? It wasn't that he didn't love a good competition, but this was supposed to be a vacation!

Shakespeare had no idea what was happening. One moment he had been happily exploring the lands perhaps in hope of finding more adventures and new friends and the next moment he had heard his mother's anxious cry for their father. To be completely honest he assumed Caesar had gotten into some kind of trouble though it was more than that, the urgency was different to her usual tones and he had arrived in time to be herded away from her by some stranger. The journey hadn't been any help in revealing what was going on really and Caesar wouldn't help matters at all. He didn't throw the word hate around too often, tended to avoid any confrontation with his brother but in that moment Shakespeare hated him. It wasn't so much the dirt either, how on earth could he go along so happily? Shakespeare was miserable, he wanted his mother, even the company of his father would be more welcomed that this man He would keep close to Colette hoping seeking her comfort as much as giving his own. Hopefully answers would soon present themselves, perhaps it would all be one big misunderstanding and before bedtime they would be back with their parents like none of this had ever happened.

They had to pull her from the den, she'd squeezed herself into a crevice where she could barely be seen from the main room. Still, she'd been found and removed and taken away from her parents. She'd remained oddly quiet throughout the whole ordeal, being too scared to actually utter a single peep she'd kept close to Shakespeare. She didn't want to follow the giant man, but there was little choice given to her. And like her calm and silent brother she just wanted to go back home and curl up with her mother and father. She'd refrained from crying so far, but her limits were already being pushed. She couldn't help the little whimper that fluttered from her mouth as they made their way to another den that was most certainly not theirs. Why couldn't he have just been happy with Caesar, he was eager to be here. She and Speare could go back to their mommy and daddy.. "Speech"

Cas blinked, drawing herself out of her preoccupation with her children as a woof from a very familiar voice sounded. Valentine? She wasn't in her den - the idea of being crammed into that thing with three very oversized puppies when she didn't have to be was horrifying even with the escavations she'd done on it - but she was near enough to it to count. "That'd be your dad," she called to the kids, though undoubtedly they'd realized it themselves. "Let's go see what he wants and you can tackle him and put mud all over him instead of me, ok?" But there was good humor in her voice as she stretched her way to her feet to make the trek back to her den to see Valentine... and three more older children trailing along behind sulkily. Oh, so Valen had taken her example to heart had he? "What's this, Valen? Playtoys for your kids? Or just little strays who followed you home for dinner?" Though her words themselves were dark, her tone and her manner were friendly enough as she sought to brush against the tall male, her two toned gaze fixed upon the trio as she grinned at them. "They certainly look like they think they're going to be chewed on." ""

Valentine glanced over his shoulder just in time to see Caesar kick dirt at his siblings. "So when can I start training to fight stuff?" He really didn't know what he was asking. His eagerness was a good thing, but his tendency to instigate was going to bring him nothing but trouble. The boy's siblings may have been passive to the point of silent tolerance, but the youths he was going to be training with were anything but and the Imperator was willing to bet they'd trounce him if given the slightest reason. Perhaps it would do him good to spend time with Daegmar. "Soon," he promised, "Maybe sooner if you stop picking on your siblings." The brute had just tucked his chin in an effort to examine the wound on his neck when Cascade moseyed up. "What's this, Valen? Playtoys for your kids? Or just little strays who followed you home for dinner?" To this he harrumphed. "They certainly look like they think they're going to be chewed on." Abandoning the wound, he straightened to look at her. "They've had a rough day. I'm sure it will come as no surprise to you, but today I acted...irrationally." That was a good word for it. It summed up his outburst nicely. "I know I'm asking a lot, but would you mind watching them until I return?"    "Talk" Think "You"

Mother announced Valentine and swept away without even letting Phim finish chewing on her legs. He was getting too old for that (or so they had told him) but he'd wanted to go hunting and she had said he'd get his face kicked in! That just wasn't fair, so he'd decided to hunt her instead. But now that Dad was here, it was even better! Plus Mom said that they could tackle him, which Seraphim was always more than willing to do. "Dad! Da-" He gasped. Valen was toting along three other kids, and they looked so different from he and his siblings. For a second Phim wondered if he ought to get mad, because what if they were Valentine's kids too and he'd never told them? Except they were all brown and light like squirrels or something so Phim decided that it was pretty unlikely. So instead of getting mad he gasped in delight. "Hi there! I'm Phim- er, Seraphim! Why are you with my daddy?" He dashed forwards, all gangly limbs and wide smiles. Wow, they were a lot smaller than he was..."Speech"

She'd been quiet and ladylike the whole time they were away from the den, sitting elegantly and imperiously beside her mother as befit the only daughter of a king. Sort of. Most of the time. When she wasn't attempting to shove her gross and horribly mean brothers' faces into the mud in retaliation. Or trying to smear it in their coats. Or trip them. Or bite. Or cry. But most of the time she was sort of elegant. Until her father's voice reached them, and her mother immediately disentangled herself and trotted back to the den. "Daddy!!" Vana herself let out a squeal of delight and charged back as well, determined to beat brothers there. Seraphim was faster though and cut her off. She put on a burst of speed, intending to pass him... And then completely checked her speed as though she'd slammed into a wall, staring at the three young faces peering out from behind her father. Who... were... they? Immediately disgust, irritation, and jealousy replaced the shock. What were they doing with her daddy? Seraphim raced right up there like they belonged and Vana shot her brother a glare. What was he doing? These weren't friends, they were invaders. Didn't he know anything? Alarmed to hear him actually ask Cascade to watch them, which meant she would be stuck with them, she sidled up to her father, tipping her head to stare down her nose at the ugly brown things. The last to arrive, Angelus came bounding up from behind the newcomers. Oh, new faces! He skidded to a halt behind the spotless dirt colored boy. Craning forward on his tiptoes, Angel snuffed at the unknown child.  He was all about meeting new people, but what if they were hateful like the constipated girl? They didn't look hateful, but then again that badger he'd tangled with the other day hadn't looked like so much trouble either. He straightened and then eyed them all, his gaze darting between the grown ups and the strangers. That one had white spots all over him, like a flock of birds had chased him around and taken turns pooping on him. Or like his eye spots had grown too big for his face and migrated elsewhere. He was kinda cool looking. And then there was the spotless dirt colored boy. He smelled okay, so for now, he was alright in Angel's book. There was also a girl and Angelus was particularly wary of her. So far in his short existence he'd learned two things about girls: they were noisy and they were mean, and someone would be hard-pressed to convince him otherwise.
