The journey had been long and tiresome, but Odette had made it. Her tan paws had crossed many different types of land and her eyes had caught the various options of scenery. She was interested in everything she saw and she made sure that her memories would remain intact. Her large form bounded across the untouched lands of Ala as she got closer to her destination. She could almost taste the scents upon her tongue.

In no time, she reached the borders of Pantheon. Her eyes took in the outline of the pack's lands and she felt a smile appear on her face. The outline of the land was indeed lovely and she wondered if the rest of Pantheon was just as nice. Slowly, she raised her massive head and called out for the alpha. She hoped that they wouldn't take too long.

Phoebe's ears shot up at the sound of a summoning howl and her head turned in its direction. At first she didn't realize it was a call for her. "Oh.... right she would think to herself with a start and she would hurriedly get to her paws and trot off to see who it was that was at Pantheon's borders. This would be the first time she would act as Matriarch to anyone outside of the pack and she was surprised at how nervous she felt. She almost wanted to call for Helios or even one of the younger family members to accompany her, but she realized that would take time and she didn't want their guest to wait any longer than necessary. She spotted the tri-toned woman and she smiled, hurrying forward to greet her. "Hello," she would say simply, trying to remember to hold herself with some sort of authority but still seem friendly. "I am Phoebe Olympus, Matriarch of Pantheon." It seemed so formal, but it was her title she supposed. She waited for the other woman to introduce herself before asking, "What brings you here today?" The wolf who arrived was smaller than Odette, but that didn't mean anything in the woman's eyes. She knew that even the tiniest of wolves could overcome the largest of their species. Red and blue eyes twinkled to the stranger and the words of greeting left her brown lips. She was the ruler, eh? From the way she carried herself, she seemed like a good wolf to have the throne.

Odette's turn came up and she began to speak. "I am Odette Adravendi, Alphess of Glaciem." Her eyes twinkled even more and she felt her smile grow as the title left her own mouth. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Phoebe. I am here to speak of possibly forming an alliance." Silently, she waited for the response.

Phoebe would take note of the woman's name and pack, storing them away for later use. She gave a little surprised blink when she remembered Glaciem's location in relation to Pantheon's. "Wow, that's quite a trip," she commented with a chuckle and a small grin. Her tail waved easily behind her and she began to relax a little bit when she started to see that there was nothing to be worried about from this newcomer. She seemed nice enough and her first impressions were good ones. She spoke of alliances and Phoebe blinked with surprise again before settling on her haunches. First meeting with another pack leader and now first major decision for the pack. She chuckled softly to herself and tried think of something to say. "Well... you seem like you're of a very nice sort, Odette. I'll be very honest with you. I haven't been Matriarch for very long and it was never really something I strove for, but my sister-in-law, who was the Matriarch before me, has fallen very ill so I've stepped up to take her place. So, you'll have to forgive me if I'm not too good at these diplomatic things right now." She chuckled awkwardly before clearing her throat and trying to move on. "Why don't you tell me a little of yourself and of Glaciem and then I'll do the same before we go making any alliances?" "Talk" "You" Think

Odette's eyes twinkled as she saw the surprise on the woman's face. She knew that her location was impressive, but she didn't intend to brag on it that much. Instead, she let the emotions of other wolves to come her and that was rewarding enough. When the woman began to explain her situation, she felt empathy for all that she went through. Odette had almost gone through the same thing with Solstice's crown, but she was more than ready to take on the challenge.

"You will become more secure with your throne after the newness wears off," she encouragingly remarked. "At first, you may feel out of place, but it will grow on you and before you know it, it will become second nature for you to rule." After all, she did know a little about the growing of her crown upon her own head. "With pleasure," she said before slowly reclining to her haunches. "Glaciem is a neutral pack with a spin of good alignment stirred in. As the Alphess, I intend to have my members treat each other like family...to realize that they are all family, no matter where they have come from." She took a deep breath and continued. "Glaciem is a pack that will be one for support, loyal wolves, and the kind of members who will stand tall for the beliefs we go by. For the most part, we are a small pack, but still very new. We have hunters, warriors, and healers, but lately, we have been doing more healing than the other two...One step at a time, I suppose." She softly chuckled and looked at Phoebe with a soft gaze. "And you, Miss Matriarch? What does Pantheon stand for?"

Phoebe smiled softly and gave a small, grateful dip of her head for Odette's encouraging words and understanding. When the other alphess reclined onto her haunches Phoebe would do the same, settling in to listen with interest. It was intriging to her how packs could differ so widely in their ways and customs. Odette described a pack that, had the not already been a part of Pantheon and had her family to be with, she might want to join herself. She smiled when Odette asked of Pantheon and she gathered her thoughts before she began. "Pantheon isn't so unlike your own pack. We value honor, loyalty, and family very highly. For the most part my pack is made up of members of my family, the Olympus, but I want everyone that joins my pack to feel like they are a part of our family as well. We require that everyone be well trained in all areas, but everyone is encouraged to find their specialty and excel in that." She chuckled softly and added, "I actually have the opposite problem as you. I'm about the only healer left in my pack and that wasn't even my original trade. My sister-in-law trained me to be a healer when I became the Delphi under her. I was originally trained to be a fighter. I have a pack full of fighters and no healers!" She shrugged light heartedly and smiled. "Perhaps one of my daughters will follow in my footsteps and take up healing as well. Only time will tell I suppose." "Talk" "You" Think

The Alphess of Glaciem began to get excited when she listened to Phoebe speak about Pantheon. They were in the same boat with alignments and the fact that they wanted their members to be well rounded didn't go unnoticed. Her tail began to thump against the ground and she gently laughed at the woman's revelation. "I am sure that your members will become so enhanced with their skills, you won't know what to do or think!" She hoped that her members would be that way in the future.

Her eyes continued to twinkle when the Matriarch spoke of her children. Odette's eyebrows rose and her interest peeked on the subject. "You have children? That is indeed a blessing. What are they like?"

Odette asked about her children and she smiled. She was always more than happy to talk about her girls after all. "They're wonderful. I have two daughters, Hera and Desponia. Hera is a little spitfire, but she means well... most of the time." She chuckled and grinned in amusement at that. "Desponia is the more gentle of the two I think. She's my sweetheart. They're both certainly a blessing. She thought back to a time when she couldn't even see herself in this position. She couldn't really even see herself as part of this pack, but her girls made her realize that she had to for their sake. If it wasn't for them she might not have even been here to take Pantheon when Natalya and Helios needed her. "Children have a way of making you put your priorities in order, that's for sure. I owe a lot to them and they're only just pups still." "Talk" "You" Think
