She let out a groan, pausing in her walking and lifting up her front right paw. She whined, eying her brother with her wide, silver eyes. "Je suis fatigué. Je ne veux pas marcher plus!" Rozenn cried at him, forcibly falling to her rump. There was a thorn in her paw, and she didn't want to pull it out. Thrusting her paw towards her brother, she whimpered again as she just sat there, waiting for her brother to assist her. Because she was done walking, and done looking after herself. They had to be far enough away now, it was colder here and they hadn't seen another being for awhile! Scoffing, she curled her rusted and red tail around her flank. There was no moving from here, nope. Claude would have to deal with it, or he could pick her up and drag her to where they were supposed to go. "Help me, I'm tired." She said with another whine, wiggling her paw at his face.

Claude would have stopped a long time ago. The temperature had dropped considerably hours ago, and yet he'd pushed himself further to find a more suitable place. He wanted them to find a home, and ultimately one that was close to everything they would require. Food would need to be plentiful and varied, while water would need to be close but far enough away that his precious sister didn't fall into it. He smirked at the though of Rozenn wet. As he smirked he found her whining about her paw. He twisted 'round to see her lifting it high - apparently having found a thorn. She told him she was tired, and a sweeping glance with his golden gaze would tell him that this place would have to do. He could scout it later after they rested for a while. "Bon Rozenn, nous allons arrêter ici." She planted herself firmly upon the ground, ordering him to help her because she was tired. His lip curled in faux irritation as he strolled toward her and examined her paw. "Oh now, now. You're not going to die." In one swift movement he would grasp the thorn within his expert jaws and wrench it from between her paw pads. He knew it would be painful, but there was no better way to do it. "There, all better," he crooned mockingly. Snowblown cheeks would contort into a grin as he turned his gaze away from her. "This place will looks good enough."

He inspected the land around them, seemingly to pick out danger. She rolled her eyes, silver gaze narrowing slightly. There was no danger here, they hadn't seen a single soul for miles! But there were more important matters on hand, like the literal thorn in her paw. It wasn't just a feeling that she used to describe her brother. Quickly Claude closed the distance between them, taking one look at her paw and stating that she was not going to die. Her eyes narrowed even further, a gasp leaving her mouth. "You don't know that! For all I know the thorn is poisonous, or some animal peed on that. What if there is now pee in my paw? How is that no-" She was cut off when her brother not-so-nicely ripped the thorn from her paw, shock flooding down her spine. She let out a cry and then a whine, shaking her paw to scatter the few blood droplets that hard formed. "You are a mean, cruel man." She spat, still keeping her hurt paw raised as she shuffled on her butt, turning to face the other way with a huff. Her nose turned up to the sky, a habit it would seem. He purred mockingly at her, and the woman tossed a glare at him over her shoulder. "Idiot," she muttered under her breath, rambling on as he went on to say that it would have to do here. Ha! She looked at him again, silver eyes nearly closed with how much she had narrowed them. "Damn right this is good enough! I'm not moving another step!" Roze called, head snapping back around to look away from him. Stupid Claude with his stupid scheduled, trying to find a stupid home with a stupid creek. Stupid...

He knew well enough that she would be royally pissed off when he ripped the thorn from her paw, but it was better than listening to her in pain if he were to extract it any other way. She continued to huff and puff, letting him know she wasn't taking another step. He had guessed that much as well. That didn't matter, this place was nice enough. "What about for food, would you move then?" Surely she was hungry, he could already feel a dull ache in his gut that was beginning to nag at him. He was tired, but food was enough of a motivation to make him hunt before he rested for too long. After all, if he rested it was unlikely he'd get up for anything. Nostrils twitched, but from here he could only breathe in her scent mingled with his - nothing more. He wondered why a woodland like this was abandoned, but didn't think on the subject for too long. Eyes of gold glanced around for movement, finding only squirrels and birds in the close vicinity.

Okay so maybe she was a child, but it didn't matter to her. She didn't care, that much it was. But as Claude asked her if she would move for food. No matter how much she wanted to say no, her ears flickered back to him as her belly rumbled. Food did sound rather good, and her damn stomach betrayed her. Roze's head slowly titled back over her shoulder, huffing at him. "Vous damner, frère. Mais oui ... je propose de la nourriture." There didn't seem to be much around here, but she was sure that they could pick off a lanky deer or a few springy rabbits. It would be better than nothing... Rozenn was pretty hungry and would go after anything. Standing to all fours, she padded over to her brother and roughly bumped against his shoulder. "Shall you lead the way then, doux frère"

She was a child, but more important than that - she was his childish sister. The rusty brute stretched, sprawling his limbs forward and bowing low to the earth. He could feel his ligaments and tendons strain - all while relishing in the feeling of stretching his sore muscles. He rose back to his full height, an impressive one at that, and eyed his sister as she urged him to lead the way. A smirk creased the side of his face that was turned away from her as he moved forward, slowly at first before building up to a bouncy trot and finally a smooth, even lope. He moved very much in a catlike manner, paws hitting the ground almost silently while his head and neck hung low - even with his spine. Purple tongue swiped across his lips as he purposely flared his nostrils, drawing in great long breaths in hopes of detecting some form of dinner in the nearby vicinity. The stench of rabbits tainted the air as he crossed twenty yards in a matter of moments. Despite his weariness it felt good to run, to hunt. He lowered his head in a predatory manner, dropping his neck a few inches below where his spine resided. He slowed, calculating the best method to capture the furry creatures. He tossed his muzzle over his right shoulder, offering her the simple command: "Aller à droite." With that he would drift to the left, ears falling back over his snow blown skull and eyes narrowing to dangerous golden slits.
