Knight in Shining Armor

The woman was not sure what life would ever come her way again. The thought that she was getting older throughout each passing year and could not find someone to at least speak with. Her light blue eyes happened to see the plains that she happened to come across a couple months ago, but, had yet to stop and enjoy the serenity of it. The smell of something happened to catch the woman off guard as the horrid smell that emanated off of this beast made her stomach scrunch up in distaste and displeasure.
She walked over to where a small stream happened to be located. Due to it being the season of Summer, the heat was beginning to make it unbearable as she lapped at the liquid to quench her thirst, but, she could suddenly hear a growl close by. The light cream and orangish colored woman did not wish to turn around, but, her curiosity and instincts happened to get the better of her as a grizzly happened to appear without warning. Standing upon it's hind legs, the creature roared in anger. Huata had never experienced a grizzly in quite some time, and the thought that she could easily be killed caused her heart to race as she ran as fast as she could away from her pursuer close behind her. She needed help, but, she was not sure who would even think about saving a lone wolf as she was soon close to a corner, her eyes closed and her tail between her legs as the grizzly soon slowed down and began to inch closer and closer toward her. What was she to do? She hadn't a clue as she waited for someone to help, or for her death to come.

Freyr's jaw had healed, so the golden and black male had went exploring to find something that would make him stronger. The male hadn't been eating much, and in that time, had turned back into the male he had looked like when he had first came here. There were a few things different, though, as his bottom jaw was a little crooked, just enough to make it harder for him to eat and speak. At the smell of a female, the male's ear pricked up as he realized that she was following the scent of something that smelt horrible, and made the gold and black male's nose scrunch up in displeasure. Head tilting in confusion, Freyr followed the female's scent, only to see something that made him stop and stare, his blue eyes wide as he glanced at the female who was about to face her death if he didn't so something.
His body went into motion before he thought anything through, and the golden and black male was running towards the grizzly, his one ear flattened as he slipped between it and the female. "Run! I'll take care of the grizzly." The male gave the female a nod, and turned his attention back to the bear as he growled at it again. The grizzly roared again, and turned it's fury on the golden and black male as Freyr backed up, his fur bristling as he moved away from the female, his blue eyes meeting the bear's. Yes, the male could be killed as easily as any other wolf. But, if it was his time to go, then the golden and black male would do this fighting, and hopefully end up saving another life in the process. Without giving a single glance to the female that had been in danger, Freyr began to back away from her more, jumping a little as water ran over his back paws and tail tip.

Huata's eyes would widen when she would soon smell the scent of a male close by. She was not sure who he was, but he was definitely handsome looking, and it was somewhat shocking to see someone close by that was willing to help her. Her light blue eyes focused on the grizzly and then back to the brute before giving a small sigh and nodding her head as she ran out of the way but stood on the sidelines, ready to help fight if she had to. The sound of the grizzly snarling caught her back to her senses and she cowered slightly from the shock that had coursed throughout her body.
The grizzly attempted to attack the brute with a quick swipe of his paws. The bear had its hind legs quite a distance way and he snarled angrily at the brute for getting in the way. Huata's ears were pinned back from worry as she was not sure what she could do to help him, but, she was sure that when there was an opening, she could help him.

The male flinched as claws raked across his cheek, three bleeding gashes that would take some time to heal, and growled at the bear. Showing his teeth was a little strange, because of his crooked bottom jaw, but Freyr guessed he would have to get used to that. His golden and black ear flattened to his head as he gave the female a small nod, barely glancing over in her direction, distracted by the bear too much to pay much attention to her yet. Freyr moved away from the bear a little, worried that the minutes he had spent with his niece and nephew might be the last time they saw him again.
Giving the female a glance, Freyr spoke. "Do you think you can help? I'm not much of a savior, but I'll try."

Huata was not sure what she could do to possibly help this brute. The smell of the bear and its deranged snarling really made her shutter of the thought that she, or the brute, could be killed within minutes. When the brute had said that he would try and help her, though he would appreciate some help really made her worried as she leapt from the sidelines and snarled at the bear, but, the large animal went upon its hind legs and growled angrily at the duo. She could not help but back away from the foul stench that came over his breath.
"I'll try and help you, but, I have not been in many fights," she spoke in her normal, gentle and calming voice. She ran forward and snapped down onto the bear's jaw, luckily small and quick enough to get to the mammal without causing too much notice. The bear snarled and tried to grab the dame, but she was too far of a distance for the bear to grab until he fell backward and swiped quickly, causing Huata to yelp when it's claws slashed her eye, luckily not getting the eyeball but she was still shocked and bleeding, but she continued to try and fight. The bear snarled and approached the brute, about ready to take another swipe at the brute.

The female yelped as claws landed on her, and Freyr glanced at her, moving towards and ducking under a giant paw that was sent in his direction. "Okay, so if we really want to beat this bear without getting too injured, we have to work together. I think our best bet would be for us to attack from both sides." Freyr headed towards the bear's right, lunging forwards and sinking his fangs into the bear's side, near it's ribcage, his jaws crashing down on the bear's flesh and grazing what felt like bone. His blue eyes narrowed as a paw was sent towards him, and the golden black and male released the bear's flesh, but didn't get out of the way in time. A giant paw was smacked against Freyr's head, and the male stumbled into the water, shaking his head
When everything stopped spinning, the golden and black male glanced up and was back into the battle, his lips pulling back in a snarl as he raced back to the bear's right. As he was about to lunge, the golden and black male realized that his crooked jaw could do something good; there was another pair of puncture marks not too far from the first. That meant that the male had done damage in more places than he would have been able to do. When the bear sent a paw in his direction again, Freyr ducked, calling to the female. "Get back! We may have to run until the bear stops chasing us! There's probably no way we can fight it and win!"

Huata nodded and gave a small wince when she could feel her eye would begin to throb. She was relieved that her eye was spared, but the lid did have a good cut running down it but she followed the male. The bear began to chase, but they had continued to run for what seemed like forever until the grizzly gave up the chase. Huata panted heavily as blood dripped from her wound, but, the dame paid no heed to it now as she looked over to the brute whom had saved her. "Thank you for saving me, Sir, I really appreciate it." She spoke and bowed in respect to this male. His black and golden coat was definitely something to behold as she sat down and looked over to the world. She felt like an idiot, causing someone to save her hide before she could even do anything, she felt so weak and pathetic. But, she did appreciate the male's help.

After the bear stopped, Freyr sat down heavily and glanced at the female. She bowed, and it took a moment before the golden and black male could respond, his voice a little raspy from running so much. "Don't think anything of it. I would have done it for anything." He turned his blue gaze towards Huata, glancing at her wound. "Hey, is your eye going to be okay?" To Freyr, the wound that the bear had inflicted on him was nothing compared to some of his wounds. He hesitated, glancing at the female. A small smile appeared on his maw as he spoke. "If my sister's children could see what just happened...." Freyr gave his head a small shake, trying not to dwell on Zisa and Einarr. Hopefully, he would see them again soon. But, despite the sadness, Freyr continued. "My niece would yell at me for putting myself in danger again, and her brother would be trying to stop her from attacking me and dragging me away." Freyr chuckled, glancing at the sky.

Huata chuckled, "Yes, my wound shall heal, but, it will definitely leave a scar for some time, that's for sure. You did not have to help me, but, may I ask, why did you?" She asked tilting her head slightly in confusion. Most loners, such as herself, would usually leave her there to die by the bear's claws. But, when she happened to hear that the brute's niece would most certainly yell at him, all she could do was give a smile and give the brute a thankful nudge. "Even if she were to yell at you, she would have to yell at me as well for causing you to put your life on the line. Your niece definitely seems to have a light of fight in her, as well as your nephew. A peacemaker, is he not?" Huata asked the brute another question as she sat upon her haunches and looked at the sky, smiling when she could hear the sounds of the birds echoing around her lobes, closing her eyes as the wind blew across her coat.
