Tattered flags unfurled

Just as she had predicted, it really was up to the adolescents of the pack to fill in the role of the more experienced adults. Summoned by a familiar howl, she arrived at the rather small gathering to find a new face belonging to a foreign female and a young Fate who would only be watching the session. It was delighting to see her brother taking on some leadership duties despite his low rank and young age. Although she had wanted to do the same earlier on, she only found it best to see how her littermate conducted the activity so she could learn a thing or two.
"Good luck." A murmur floated from her lips only audible for his ears as she passed by the chocolate male's side with an encouraging smile painted on her warm expression. If only she could have as much courage as he did to take initiative and call the pack together. While she hoped her brother knew what he was doing, she redirected her focus towards the hunt. Today, there would be a glorious improvement in her skills and abilities.

He would come to stand by the chocolate boy, making sure he nuzzled Varda and Luck before standing at attention. He'd smile softly at each of the attendees, making note that the Bookend Frost had found her way here. Good. He was ready whenever Aslan gave the signal, he had no intentions of taking the lead role from his son.

Frith's smile was devious as he looked up at his boy, "I'll help you, but this is your hunt my son." His bicolored gaze would dance around the gathered wolves, the youngsters of the pack. This would be the first group hunt for most of them. "If you've not scouted anything out yet there's been a herd of goats lingering near the falls." He' watch Aslan carefully, but it didn't seem like he had planned that far in advance. "We'll want a runner or two to distract the rest of the herd while the rest of us wear down the target. Aslan I'll let you distribute tasks. Runners of the herd, and those that will actually be taking down the prey."

She felt as if the other wolves looked at her strangely because she was new. She walked up and moved to stand beside the other female. seeing as she was the only other female there she would introduce herself saying "Hi, I'm Frost. I just recently joined."She took a quick glance at all of the wolves around her, 'I guess this is my new family.'
The rest of Threar trickled into the crowd and to her disappointment, her mother was not among them. Out of confusion and inexperience, Aslan was about to hand over his temporary position as the hunt's organiser to their father before told otherwise. A feeling of relief rushed over her, all because she wanted to see how her brother would lead the activity. When the opportunity came to her one day, she hoped to be the one leading a pack hunt. For now, she had to watch and learn. Runners were soon announced and her gaze briefly swept across the twins who had been chosen for the role possibly because of their smaller size. She still felt quite satisfied with her position as an attacker as she had a clear idea of what to do, unlike the other role.
"Varda." She politely introduced herself to the newly joined female known as Frost with a faint smile. Socialising with wolves other than her family was in fact her weak area, but now it seemed Threar was recruiting anyone if they proved to be a worthy addition. Perhaps she needed a friend who wasn't kin, and so for now, she'd stick close to the other female while she awaited further instructions on the hunt.

For a long few moments Aslan would consider his options from the herd below, he could almost see the thoughts in his head formulating as he made his decision. Finally there was a decision, a one horned goat with his newly missing limb. Frith found himself grinning proudly as he nodded, yes that would be a perfect target. Now to wait for Sorrel and Feli to move out.
Punctually, she rose to her paws and swung her head in a gesturing movement for Frost to follow. The twins had carried their task ahead by locating a herd of goats of which her brother had sensibly chosen the easiest target. Judging by her father's bold grin, it was the correct one (not that she was envious of her brother's success). She wasn't too keen on seeing any creature injured, especially with a missing horn like this particular goat did, but she knew the only way to provide the pack with food was to hunt down the weakest member of a herd. How her cousins planned of separating the injured goat from the rest of its group or at least distracting the others remained a mystery in her mind, which was why she fortunately hadn't been given the runner position. Their course of action was clueless to her. She would observe the scene, hoping to pry out some useful running tactics from her cousins all while she focused on her role on taking the animal down.
"It'll be best if we take it down as quickly as possible while avoiding the legs if it tries to retaliate." So far she hadn't been of much productivity in the hunt, which is why she added in some advice so she could be of use. To be honest, she was trying her best, even if it wasn't time to play her role just yet.

She would follow Varda and heard what she said about avoiding the legs, throughout almost all of this Frost was majorly confused. To her it seemed as if everybody was scattered and there was no form of order, she thought that in pack hunts everybody stayed together. Sure there might be a couple of wolves on the edge of the group, but for the most part everybody stayed in a tightly knit group. All of this seemingly disarray was all too confusing for her, so once she had caught up with Varda she would say ”I honestly have no clue how any of this is working.”
