Aslan had no power, no experience to lead a hunt but it was about time that someone called the pack together for one. His mother was in no state to do so, his father was busy caring for her, Fate and Luck not to mention keeping the rest of pack life running smoothly. His Uncle Legend hadn't even summoned the pack for any fight training yet and so it fell to the lower members of the pack to show some initiative he guessed. Someone else could lead it when they all got here, or perhaps they'd just develop a plan together rather than anything else. He just hoped that his low rank wouldn't deter others from attending. He couldn't order them all to attend, he could only hope that someone might share his wish for a pack hunt. As his call for others to join him faded, the tall boy stood still and waited to see who would appear to help him.

The female heard the call for a pack hunt, she figured that this would be a perfect start to her probation.  She started towards the call and sat down when she arrived. The wolf who had called was mainly brown and had bi-coloured eyes like her, he appeared younger than her 'why is a young wolf leading a hunt?' she thought. 'It would be better not to ask.' She didn't want to start off on the wrong foot with her new pack. She figured that this wolf would want to know her name and who she was, so she would tell him "Frost, I'm on probation." She nodded her head to the boy and waited in silence for more wolves to show up.

Fate was particularly bored that day so when a call rose for the members of the pack for a hunt, the boy answered it. He would casually walk to the scene, keeping his head raised the slightest bit as he recognized the voice as that of his older brother's. He would arrive, his tail wagging and his curiosity cap on. "Hiya Aslan! Is it alright if I watch? I'm really bored." He hoped it would be alright for him to be there because it would be fun and perhaps he could learn a thing or two in the process. He held his breath, hoping for a specific answer. He looked up to his older siblings, especially with his mama always warn out and his dad so busy. More importantly, he loved learning.

Just as she had predicted, it really was up to the adolescents of the pack to fill in the role of the more experienced adults. Summoned by a familiar howl, she arrived at the rather small gathering to find a new face belonging to a foreign female and a young Fate who would only be watching the session. It was delighting to see her brother taking on some leadership duties despite his low rank and young age. Although she had wanted to do the same earlier on, she only found it best to see how her littermate conducted the activity so she could learn a thing or two.
"Good luck." A murmur floated from her lips only audible for his ears as she passed by the chocolate male's side with an encouraging smile painted on her warm expression. If only she could have as much courage as he did to take initiative and call the pack together. While she hoped her brother knew what he was doing, she redirected her focus towards the hunt. Today, there would be a glorious improvement in her skills and abilities.

The sound of Aslan calling the pack together surprised the young man. It was a call for a hunt, though why it was his cousin and not his uncle who called he didn't know. All the same Féli would heed the call, feeling well enough and ready to actively participate in pack things once more. With Novella still not quite and Frith tending to her things were going to fall on the rest of the pack. The least the boy could do was help out, right? Well, he was a young man now... he should be doing more for Threar anyway. Taking a breath he would race to where Aslan had called.

Bicolored gaze would sweep over the wolves who were present. There was Frost, a female who had recently joined up with them and was on probation. There was also Varda, another cousin, and young Fate. He would chuckle at the boy's words, coming up behind him. "Bored huh? I doubt you'll be bored for long!" Gaze would sweep to Aslan, a gentle smile on his face. It could be a good learning experience for the youngster, so long as he stayed out of the way of the herd animals. The last thing any of them needed was to try and explain to Novella that her son got trampled.

"So you're holding onto the reigns on this hunt, eh Aslan? I'll follow your lead." The golden boy had full faith in the young one, though he'd take over if he didn't feel comfortable.

Frith would follow after his youngest son to the call of his tallest son. Aslan had grown much much bigger than Frith had ever dreamed of being and he still wondered where the boy got his massive height from. Maybe his own father? Not that Frith would ever know the true origin of such genetics, but it was a nice thought. His form would make its way to the hunting meeting and he couldn't help but be proud of his young son for taking the initiative and calling their family together. With him caring for Novella there was little extra activities he could easily plan. Not that he would ever blame that on his wife, only that he was proud his son had taken up the reigns.

He would come to stand by the chocolate boy, making sure he nuzzled Varda and Luck before standing at attention. He'd smile softly at each of the attendees, making note that the Bookend Frost had found her way here. Good. He was ready whenever Aslan gave the signal, he had no intentions of taking the lead role from his son.

It seemed that the last to arrive would be Sorrel. The Chapter still wasn't happy to be there, nor pleased about the fact that it wasn't even Novella, Frith or Legend calling this meeting but a prologue. Of course though, he'd rather Aslan do it than himself, but did he really have to listen to the call of his younger cousin? It seemed like the safest bet to attend really and he would only take comfort in the assumption that his twin would likely be present, far more interested in the hunting and fighting activities than Sorrel. Sure enough Féli was there and the boy would slip silently to stand at his side.

The first wolf to appear was not one that the young Destruction lad had expected to see at all. She was completely unfamiliar and yet she bounded up as though she belonged, as she had expected the sight did indeed have him a little confused though the explanation wouldn't do too much to settle him. Probation. Why was she on probation? He would perhaps enquire the issue later with his parents. "Aslan Destruction." He gave decided only to give his name for now, hoping that another would come along soon.

What would be more surprising yet however was the next figure that came bounding along. The pups were certainly growing quickly and yet he by no means thought them ready to join the pack on a hunt. Had they even had any basic training yet to prepare them for future hunts? He didn't think so, though even if they had he still wasn't keen on the idea of his little brother tagging along just yet. He prepared himself to disappoint the boy though it seemed Fate had no dreams of taking down some big prey just yet, he only wished to watch. "Yeah, I guess that should be ok." He responded, a soft smile meeting his features. "From a distance though, I don't think anyone wants you getting hurt." A little more serious in tone now, though still far more warm and gentle than the voice he had addressed Frost with.

Another sibling would arrive next, his sister Varda, completely getting the wrong end of the stick she would wish him luck in this little endeavour. Unfortunately he couldn't correct her on the matter just yet, given everyone else here had equal or less experience or were complete strangers that he possibly couldn't trust to lead the hunt, it seemed as the one to call the gathering he would indeed be the one to lead. Would his father appear? Frith could certainly lead the hunt instead, or maybe his Uncle Legend or even Félicien would be able to help him out.

As if on cue it was in fact his cousin that would show his face next though for reasons that Aslan couldn't fathom, Félicien seemed happy enough with following the lead of a far less experienced hunter. Before he could ask for some help with the task however the figure of his father came into view and the boy was definitely ready to thrust the reigns in his father's direction, not even noticing as Sorrel quietly slipped in afterwards.

He attempted not to look or sound too relieved by the presence of his father as the man came to stand at his side. "I thought a pack hunt would be good. I'll let you take it from here." He offered, voice low so only Frith was likely to hear. "I was hoping you'd turn up to do that actually. I'm not really sure what I'm doing from here." He confessed.

It seemed their gathering would end with the appearance of his nephew Sorrel, though he'd barely noticed the boy appear. His attentions would shift to his son, the tall boy's confidence was there but he lacked the experience to truly lead his pack in a hunt. He showed great promise though in simply calling his peers together. Though Frith hadn't expected him to hand over the lead so quickly Frith was not against helping out his son, though this would probably turn into more of a lesson than Aslan might have wanted.

Frith's smile was devious as he looked up at his boy, "I'll help you, but this is your hunt my son." His bicolored gaze would dance around the gathered wolves, the youngsters of the pack. This would be the first group hunt for most of them. "If you've not scouted anything out yet there's been a herd of goats lingering near the falls." He' watch Aslan carefully, but it didn't seem like he had planned that far in advance. "We'll want a runner or two to distract the rest of the herd while the rest of us wear down the target. Aslan I'll let you distribute tasks. Runners of the herd, and those that will actually be taking down the prey."

Frith however wouldn't play fairly. As Author of the pack he had the most authority, it made sense for him to lead the hunt, especially given many here including the boy he'd just left in charge weren't capable of doing so. He got the feeling that ifs, buts and maybes wouldn't have helped him out much at all and simply had to hope his father would offer him lots of help on this mission that not seemed rather ridiculous if he was completely honest. It had seemed like a wonderful idea to get the pack together for a hunt up until the point they all looked to him expectantly.

That was one thing he hadn't thought to do, pay attention to what was nearby that they could hunt. Fortunately his father had been a little more observant, had recalled the herd of goats that had taken a liking to Threar's waterfall. Runners. Wolves that were quick and light on their feet perhaps? Well Sorrel and Félicien were the smallest ones here and that pairing would surely please the twins. It would also mean Frost would be kept close to Frith. "Sorrel and Félicien can be the runners then." He cast a glance out of the corner of his eye to his father, just to check for his confirmation on the assignments.

The brown wolf had introduced himself as Aslan. Frost sat down as she waited for the other wolves to appear, first was a young pup who she had overheard say that they were just there to watch. Frost smiled at the pup, she wanted pups but not right now. Next to arrive was a female a year younger than her, she had bi-colored eyes just like the pup and Aslan. Frost thought they must all be related having the same eye colors, the two wolves who had greeted her at the border came, a young wolf and the Alpha. The last to arrive was a wolf with the same colored eyes as everybody else, the only wolf who didn't have different colored eyes was the pup it seemed that two different eye colors was common up here.
She felt as if the other wolves looked at her strangely because she was new. She walked up and moved to stand beside the other female. seeing as she was the only other female there she would introduce herself saying "Hi, I'm Frost. I just recently joined."She took a quick glance at all of the wolves around her, 'I guess this is my new family.'

The rest of Threar trickled into the crowd and to her disappointment, her mother was not among them. Out of confusion and inexperience, Aslan was about to hand over his temporary position as the hunt's organiser to their father before told otherwise. A feeling of relief rushed over her, all because she wanted to see how her brother would lead the activity. When the opportunity came to her one day, she hoped to be the one leading a pack hunt. For now, she had to watch and learn. Runners were soon announced and her gaze briefly swept across the twins who had been chosen for the role possibly because of their smaller size. She still felt quite satisfied with her position as an attacker as she had a clear idea of what to do, unlike the other role.

"Varda." She politely introduced herself to the newly joined female known as Frost with a faint smile. Socialising with wolves other than her family was in fact her weak area, but now it seemed Threar was recruiting anyone if they proved to be a worthy addition. Perhaps she needed a friend who wasn't kin, and so for now, she'd stick close to the other female while she awaited further instructions on the hunt.

His dear brother shrugged it off, saying that it should be okay and it made the little boy light up. His eyes widened as he scurried off to find a good vantage point to watch from. He would abide by the rules of his brother and not get too close and he knew he was nowhere ready to join in a pack hunt yet. He dreamed that he was but the young boy knew that he was not. He turned and saw his dad arrive and his tail wagged vigorously. "I'm gonna watch from here." He said, just loud enough for all of the Threar wolves to hear so they knew where he would be while they were out doing all of the dirty work that he himself would do one day.

It seemed that Frith would also, in a sense, encourage Aslan to lead the hunt. Félicien was truthfully a bit relieved it was not him he was leading the hunt. While he liked to hunt, the young man lacked the confidence to lead. He was so afraid of messing up and making errors, of being a disappoint to those who would depend on him. So truthfully he didn’t envy Aslan’s position right now. Though it also made him feel guilty that, while he was outgoing, there were still some things that even he had fears of. The young man didn’t realize he just needed a few helpful nudges in the right direction to gain that confidence he needed to be all he could for the pack.

Aslan would assign the task of being a runner to him and his twin, and the boy would glance at his mirror image with a small smirk. “Sure thing Aslan. We’ve got this, right Sorrel?” Though inwardly his heart was pounding. What if he screwed up? What if he ruined the hunt for everyone? He’d glance to the others then. “If it’s cool with you, Aslan, I’m going to go ahead and go look for this herd of goats.” He didn’t mean to try and steal the spotlight from his cousin, but the golden male was eager to get started.

Paws would lead him away, the excitement and anxiety dancing together in his stomach. Each pawstep was light as he went towards the falls, nose to the air. It didn’t take too long to find them thanks to Frith’s tip. There were some near the water, getting drinks and cooling down from the summer heat. His bi-colored gaze would scan the herd, searching for potential prey options to suggest. He would lower his gaze after a moment though, doubt once more popping into his mind. What if he really did fail? What if... What if... He let out a small growl to himself, shaking his head. He couldn’t think like that. The others would catch up before long and Aslan would tell them who the prime target was... Yeah... Let him handle that.

"Listen to me talk," 'but read my thoughts.'

It perhaps wasn't set to be the smoothest led hunt that they had ever seen, Aslan looking to his father for prompts and guidance throughout it. Runners were announced first, and that job would fall to the twins. Sorrel was certainly pleased with that choice, his company for this hunt would be his brother, it would be the perfect set up at least in that sense. No fears of failing met the boy's mind, instead he just wanted to get this all over and done with and Féli was certainly doing well with moving things along.

Silently Sorrel would follow behind his twin, not exactly helping at this moment in time though fortunately it seemed that the goats weren't going to be difficult to find anyway. Taking a glance behind, Sorrel would watch and wait for the rest of the group to catch up. He wanted to hurry though charging straight in without the rest of the pack there to actually catch a goat would be very foolish. He'd wait, though he wouldn't like it too much.

There seemed to be no complaints with his suggestion for the twins to be the Runners for the hunt and Fate it seemed would take the announcement as his cue to go and sit out of the way. Carefully he would watch his brother, make sure the selected spot was indeed a safe one and then Félicien would take his attention again, suggesting to go ahead and look for the goat. Oh yes, he was supposed to actually get them started on that task. It was certainly a strange sensation leading something, even more so given many of these wolves here were far more experienced than himself at this. "Alright, let's go." He encouraged the rest of the group along now, following Félicien's lead and moving to find this little herd of goat.

The next task at hand would be the main event; the hunt itself. Of course they couldn't just chase them all around and hope one just happened to fall into their jaws. Whilst he was new at this leading stuff he had been on enough hunts to know they needed a specific target and he figured that would be his job to decide. Eyes carefully scanned the herd, attempting to pick out one now. He guessed that one of the ones lying would take slightly longer to move than those already on their feet, and he would take a glance at those now attempting to read which was the weakest. There was a kid sat alone, the mother he assumed wouldn't be too far away though it was a possibility. One was wounded though, blood still stained it's head from a clear recent accident; one horn was missing.

"That one?" He pointed out the weakened goat to his father now, waiting for his confirmation. Once given, then it'd be up to Sorrel and Félicien to scatter the herd further and then the rest of them to charge in and try to catch it. At least they'd have one less horn and if the injury was rather fresh, perhaps it wouldn't even want to attempt to ram them anytime soon giving them one less part to worry about in the hunt.

Frith wanted to hang back and watch the younger wolves and newer members of their pack show off their skills. Sorrel and Feli would make their way out, scouting first to find the herd as he and Aslan followed behind. He wished that Varda and Frost had been more eager to continue the hunt, and with a single look back at them he'd hope that they would redeem themselves in the actual hunt. He'd keep close to Aslan's side as they followed after the twins, and as they came in sight of the herd he would give no clues to his son.

For a long few moments Aslan would consider his options from the herd below, he could almost see the thoughts in his head formulating as he made his decision. Finally there was a decision, a one horned goat with his newly missing limb. Frith found himself grinning proudly as he nodded, yes that would be a perfect target. Now to wait for Sorrel and Feli to move out.

Punctually, she rose to her paws and swung her head in a gesturing movement for Frost to follow. The twins had carried their task ahead by locating a herd of goats of which her brother had sensibly chosen the easiest target. Judging by her father's bold grin, it was the correct one (not that she was envious of her brother's success). She wasn't too keen on seeing any creature injured, especially with a missing horn like this particular goat did, but she knew the only way to provide the pack with food was to hunt down the weakest member of a herd. How her cousins planned of separating the injured goat from the rest of its group or at least distracting the others remained a mystery in her mind, which was why she fortunately hadn't been given the runner position. Their course of action was clueless to her. She would observe the scene, hoping to pry out some useful running tactics from her cousins all while she focused on her role on taking the animal down.

"It'll be best if we take it down as quickly as possible while avoiding the legs if it tries to retaliate." So far she hadn't been of much productivity in the hunt, which is why she added in some advice so she could be of use. To be honest, she was trying her best, even if it wasn't time to play her role just yet.

Frost heard what the target was, it was a weak one horned goat. Once she heard what the target was she wanted to just run headlong at it and just sink her teeth into its neck. She wasn’t positive that she should do that though, she had seen the two cream colored wolves head out to scout for the goat herd. She was restless but had no clue what she should do. She saw Varda stand up and gesture for her to follow, she jumped up in anticipation. Only she realized that she had no clue what to do, she was pretty confident about her hunting skills alone but when it came pack hunting she was completely clueless.
She would follow Varda and heard what she said about avoiding the legs, throughout almost all of this Frost was majorly confused. To her it seemed as if everybody was scattered and there was no form of order, she thought that in pack hunts everybody stayed together. Sure there might be a couple of wolves on the edge of the group, but for the most part everybody stayed in a tightly knit group. All of this seemingly disarray was all too confusing for her, so once she had caught up with Varda she would say ”I honestly have no clue how any of this is working.”

Ooc:: So sorry for the wait guys. ><;; I had a bit of chaos at home so I ended up not being on for a little while. Hopefully we can continue this and get it done~ <3

Félicien would look to Sorrel as he arrived, his bi-colored eyes searching for any sign of what his brother was thinking. Nothing however was revealed, and the twins would wait for the rest of the pack to arrive. This was a team effort after all. The young man would wait, feeling the nervousness creep back into him once again. He would give a few uncomfortable twitches of his ears. Gaze would shift back to the herd, then to each Threar wolf as they arrived. Soon, very soon all would begin.

Aslan would suggest a target, waiting on Frith’s approval before saying for sure that was the target. Once it was confirmed it was up to them, and that was the part that scared Féli the most. What if he messed up? What if... What if... No. ‘Stop it.’ The young man would think to himself. He couldn’t keep this up. He was going to drive himself mad if he kept this up.

Things were settled, target decided, and now things fell on their shoulders to get things started. He would nod to Sorrel before making his way down, gaze on their target. The wounded goat could still be dangerous enough if they were not careful. One horn was still enough to gore them.

He would approach from the right, the far side compared to his brother, closer to the rest of the herd. He would rush ahead, waiting until he was closer to start growling and snapping his jaws. It was time to get these beasts up and running, and have them scatter. Some of them would get to running right away, as others were scrambling to their feet. It was time for the hunt to really begin!

"Listen to me talk," 'but read my thoughts.'
