hey moon

He didn't often have a moment to himself, especially with Novella's sudden depression. Though as she grew more well he found that more and more he was not as needed. The children were growing quickly, amazingly so. They were beautiful and wonderful, gentle little pups with hearts of gold, and he loved them so much. The same with his older litter, he loved them dearly and was so incredibly proud of them. He was amazed at what he'd created. The unexpected family that had come from his unexpected meeting with that beautiful pale maiden in an alabaster shrine. She was the single greatest thing to ever happen to him.
These thoughts would linger on the Author's mind as he climbed to the top of the falls by himself. He hadn't quite made it back to the den for the night and found himself detouring to the tall structure in the new moon light. It was just beginning to appear on the horizon and it was absolutely huge. He'd smile softly as he reached the summit, his form relaxing obviously from his hard day at work. He knew he wanted to be back with his family soon, but he couldn't help but to give in to the allure of solitude for just a few long moments.

The chocolate alpha thought himself bathed in solitude as his bicolored gaze took in the heavens above him. His form was sprawled easily over the grasses that covered the top of the falls, the sound of the roaring water would lull him as he relaxed away the worries of the day. The thoughts of the festival as well as some old haunts that still lingered. Their pack was still so young, and with Legend being scarce once more their higher ranks were barren. Was he enough to keep their pack safe?
Frith would sigh heavily before catching the scent of another on the wind. Frith's features would perk at the scent and sound of Felicien's approach. He would smile softly as the boy drew more near, coming to take his place by Frith's side. "Hello, Feli. It certainly is. What brings you up here?" He had to raise his voice over the sound of the falls, as he looked to the younger male. He wouldn't attempt to push himself rom the earth, but he would focus his attentions to his company.

Feli didn't keep his gaze on the chocolate alpha as the question was asked, the man would watch as the boy thought about it himself. Frith could see the gears moving in his mind as he decided what it was he was going to say. Frith knew very well how inexperienced their pack was, though he knew it was his own fault for leaving them untrained. He and Novella needed to step up their game. Frith's dark ears perked at the boy's words as he confessed what was going through his mind, a sense of uselessness that he could not shake. In the end he'd ask advice from the older alpha. What could he do? "You've certainly been helpful when it comes to the pups," He'd make sure to praise him for that, especially when Novella had been sick. He'd heard that Feli had been a giant help with the pup hunt. "Felicien, would you accept our Mystery rank?"

There was no doubt in his mind that he could trust Felicien with the rank, though he still couldn't smile as the young man was caught by surprise. He hadn't expected the other wolf to react this way, he'd close his eyes and breathing deeply. Frith's ears would perk forward curiously, second guessing his confidence that Feli would accept. Eventually though he'd again see that gaze, and a gentle nod from the young Destruction. He'd accept. Frith would relax a bit, the worry of running out of food had weighed heavily on his mind. Knowing the responsibility was more evenly shared brought him relief. "I do. Your aunt and I thank you." The boy added a nervous thanks and Frith would nod. "Though, I do have another favor. More responsibility I suppose." Though an easy going smile still lingered on his lips there was a seriousness to his voice. "Feli, I want you to evaluate Frosts's performance. Gauge what her skills are, but more than that I need to know if we can trust her." He'd gotten a weird bad from the girl the first day they had met, and though he scarcely saw her he didn't miss her scent on some of the food he ate. He wouldn't offer the strange feeling he'd had, first he wished to see his nephew's reaction.
