On the move to track the herd the hunt was one step closer to being completed, the next step was yet another period of waiting as they stopped, watching the goats and searching for one that might be an easy target. Quietly the rest of the pack joined them though Sorrel was eager to run in there and get this all over and done with. His gaze remained fixated upon the herd, body tense as muscles waited, ready to spring into action at the command of Aslan and Frith and his brother's move as well. As much as he wanted to run, Sorrel wasn't going to make the first move.

At last the time would come, Félicien would set off and Sorrel followed shortly after him, running the opposite side of their chosen goat, Sorrel sought to drive the other members of the herd away, his teeth barred and growls cast their direction. Some scarpered quickly other's a little slower to move would take their time as for their already wounded target, Sorrel had no idea it was one particularly ambitious goat that held his attention now, head lowered as he threatened to meet the wolf head on. Sorrel gave another snarl in response to the foolish move snapping at the air in warning. He wasn't sure if the goat had caught sight of the rest of the pack or simply decided to play sheep and follow the crowd instead though eventually it backed away and moved for an escape path.

Frith confirmed the target as the rest of the pack gathered around him and then it was officially time to get this all started. The twins readily took to their role, launching into action as they took a side of the herd each and sought to scare them away. It worked, the goats beginning to scatter though their target had gotten to his feet now too evidently a little concerned by the chaos.

Wasting no time and avoiding the risk of their goat escaping with the rest, Aslan cast a brief glance to the rest of the team before leading the run in towards the goat. The creature let out a loud bleat, perhaps surprise, warning or some other meaning that Aslan truly couldn't care about. It was moving now though, attempting to follow the lead of the other goats, eager to flee the scene and the predators now closing in on him. The Destruction boy followed however, closing the distance to place a bite upon the goat's hind right leg, another cry clearly pain this time, a small stumble slowed it down momentarily though on it continued.

As the target was chosen Felicien and Sorrel were quick to be off on their task, he'd watch on proudly as Varda and Frost brought up the last bit of their group. Frosts's confession though became a bit disheartening, she didn't know how to hunt a goat? He'd offer her a hard stare as she looked to his daughter for some kind of reassurance. Not that he had much time to dwell on the woman's actions. Aslan was off, and Frith was hardly going to let his son take all the fun. His shorter stride would bring him up behind the tall boy and their prey, while Aslan towered over the creature Frith was more on its level. The man would put on a burst if speed bringing his form between their chosen target and the herd that was scrambling away. While his son focused on the rear Frith would focus his efforts on the front half.

With gleaming fangs bared the chocolate wolf would lash out at the animal, his teeth grazing the creatures neck twice before retribution was offered. The animal was hardly going to give itself up with out a fight, Frith was ready to go in for another snap when the dark creature turned towards him, horn bared, and barreled into his side. Incredible pain would lace up his side as he felt the creature wound him. The one horned beast had gored Frith, right beneath his ribs. A cry of pain would ring out as the animal left him, blood following the removal of its weapon. With a snarl Frith would continue running, the adrenaline pumping through him as he continued to run at the animal.

Her cousins set out, travelling along both sides of their chosen goat with their teeth bared in snapping snarls to scarce away the rest of the herd. Some soon began to scatter while others were more hesitant on leaving. However, their particular prey wasn't exactly dumb, and so unexpectedly to Varda, it attempted to flee their chase. Already her brother and father had taken a head start being the first to run to their only opportunity of catching the goat. Who said they could go first? She caught up after them, keeping her strides clean and precise despite it all was a scrambling rush. Her brother delivered a bite to its hind leg, causing the goat to stumble but annoyingly still determined to run. A pesky thing, wasn't it? Her father aimed his teeth for the goat's neck, only to be painfully head-butted by its only horn. The scent of blood trailed through the air as her wide and shocked eyes found the bloodied wound staining her father's ribs. Despite the injury, he continued his pursuit on the animal. Should she display her concern by asking if he was alright? There wasn't time for that; it could left for a later date. The sight only fuelled her energy as her paws thundered faster along the earth, streaking past her father with gaze narrowed. Oh that goat was going down.

She found herself pelting beside the goat's right side, gaining a few inches in distance with every moment that passed. Alongside their prey she ran, her left shoulder aligned with the goat's right shoulder. With all of her body's force, she rammed her left flank into the goat's right flank, making the goat stumble further with its balance slightly disrupted. To avoid any retaliation that the animal might throw at her, she lowered her upper body so her jaws could clamp on the goat's right foreleg - the closest leg. Their prey still needed more weight upon its body to fully collapse to the ground and finally give up its irritating fight. To add to that, it was still alive which meant someone would have to get the neck. Even though Frost seemed rather clueless on the fight earlier, surely she'd figure out where to fill in.

To be honest Sorrel paid little attention to the target and the rest of his pack, concentrating upon his task of driving the rest of the herd away, continuing to run, snapping and snarling to keep them on the move. The pained sound from behind him however would disrupt his attention momentarily, enough to pause in his snarls as he glanced back over his shoulder to try and make sense of the scene. The goat was still standing for now, Aslan, Frith and Varda surrounding it as they strove to bring it down. Still on the move himself he couldn't stare too long, couldn't pick up the full details but for now kept his mind focussed upon his task, adjusting his gaze to look ahead again before he ran into a goat or worse. He'd deal with any injuries later, if they were all still chasing the goat wasn't much he could do yet anyway.

Frith was the next to catch up with Aslan and the goat, the pair driving in with attacks to wound and slow down the creature. The tall Destruction boy's height didn't make this the easiest task in the world, nearly stumbling once or twice himself, especially as his father suddenly gave a cry of pain. Concern filled him, though likewise would fuel him onwards as Varda joined the attack and Frith's snarls suggesting he was still good to continue.

Moving to his sister's aid, Aslan sought to bump and lean against the goat's hind, applying enough force to drive it down to the ground, following it as well to try and trap it. A bite was too awkward with his sister just in front of him and his height towering above the goat, he'd leave the final attacks to the others instead.

The real hunting had started, once the others had started to bite the goat Frost knew exactly what to do. The Alpha had gotten wounded by the goat’s sole horn, Aslan and Varda had already taken bites out of the goat but it was still standing. Frost would run all the up to where the goat was and aim for it’s neck, if she didn’t bring it down it would at least bleed out. She avoided Varda and the alpha on her way to the animal’s neck, she would attack from her right the goat’s left. Her jaws would clamp around the side of the goat’s neck, she could feel it as her teeth dug into the animal’s flesh. The taste of blood would flow into her mouth. The goat would fall to its knees and Frost would hold on until the animal fell completely. Weather it died or not, that was up to the goat.

While the twins continued their role of separating the rest of the herd that still lingered in close proximity, her brother delivered a shove to the goat's hind which assigned his hefty size to helpful use. It was Frost who put their tiring run to an end as their prey finally fell to the ground after having its neck in the secure hold of her jaws. With a bite like that, the animal was sure to lose its life and even if it did miraculously survive, it was in no condition to rise up once more. She released her grip of the goat's limb and took one sidestep to allow the goat to fully collapse to the ground. Once all the movement had ceased, she poked her snout into the creature's exposed shoulder just to see if she would get any reaction. There was nothing other than the stench of blood that filled her nose.

"I think it's dead." she concluded bluntly after pulling her snout away from their prey. Her narrowed eyes examined its stained chest carefully to see if it was still breathing. To be honest, she couldn't tell whether it was taking small, shallow and unnoticeable breaths or had truly fallen victim to the killing bite.

Carefully the youth would watch the execution of the plan from his safe place. His eyes would narrow as he watched each wolf do their part, pulling together into a group to do their own roles like cogs in a machine. The hunt would not succeed without all of the different roles covered and it amazed Fate how such things could be complex as they were. Here he had thought all of the fun was in catching fish but quickly his family had proved him wrong by pulling off something much larger than any of them. He could not help but stare in wonder and awe at them as the prey fell dead by their teeth. He was quick in rushing out of his hiding place in order to run over to where the deer lay dead. “That was so cool!” His words were rushed with excitement as he looked at all of them. He wanted to learn how to do that!
