Let's Be Alone Together {Birth thread~}
Fresh air. She needed fresh air.
White paws carried her through the night air, her green eye searching for any signs of danger. With her stomach swollen so much, and the occasional jolts of pain, it was hard to doubt that she was with pups. Not to mention her appetite. Silveris sometimes felt like a burden. She couldn't hunt, couldn't defend the den...She couldn't even travel all that far to get water, or just the exercise. She found a place, not too far from the den, and stood there, staring up at the rocks. They seemed to glitter, and had captured her attention. A sharp pain made her give a little jump, but it wasn't long after it faded away that another pain went through her. Not here!
If only she could get to the den. The pups would be safe. Hesitantly, she stepped forwards. A sharp pain went through her again. Giving her head a small shake, she lay down, on her side, not sure what to do. She needed help. Raising her head, she closed her eyes in a pained howl, one that she couldn't even continue for long. She looked around, barely able to see anything. Hopefully her mate had heard.

The sound of his mate was enough to make his stomach drop as if a rock had fallen into it. Emery would stop his hunt, ears flicked back as he immediately shifted his attention. All that mattered right now was getting back to Silveris and making sure she, as well as their babies, would be okay. The man would grit his teeth, breaking into a full run as he ran back towards the Runestones. He had to find her. Had to keep her safe. Something... something was wrong.

Emery came running, and the panicked mother to be raised her head, staring up at him. She tried to get onto her paws once more, but another sharp pain went through her, and she lowered herself to the ground again. "I'm sorry." Her words were soft, and the female flinched as another pain went through her. She closed her mismatched eyes, a soft whine escaping her. She spoke, jumping when another sharp pain went through her. "What do I do?" She opened her mismatched eyes again, and....Well, she wasn't sure what happened. A sharp pain went through her, making her close her eyes again. A tiny brown and white pup lay by her side, its base color the same as hers. Even though the fae had never been a mother, she lowered her head, licking the pup's fur. It may have been more of a loving gesture, but the female would continue this until another sharp pain went through her.
She closed her mismatched gaze again, a little afraid to see what was going on. Another contraction went through her, and Silveris bit back a whine. You wanted pups. You have to get through the pain. She breathed out, wincing as another contraction went through her. She bit back a whine as another sudden pain went through her. After a few moments, another sharp pain went through her, and she opened her gaze again. Another pup, this time lighter than her brown fur, was there. Silveris quickly licked the pup's fur, wincing as pain went through her again.
This one caused her a little more pain than the others, her claws sinking into the ground for a moment as a soft whine came from her. She just wanted this pain to go away. Not her pups of course, but....She didn't want to go through this pain again. When the final pup lay at her side, Silveris moved her head, licking the pup's fur. When it was cleaned, she rested her head on the ground, not having enough strength to move. "Do you have any ideas about their names?" She asked, her voice soft. "I kind of think we should call the one with white fur Sora." She stared at the pups, giving a small smile.

Emery was afraid. Afraid for his mate, his beloved. He would watch over her with a worried look, another whine escaping him. He wasn't sure what to tell her to do. He had never given birth himself after all {and he wouldn't anyway because he was a male but you know}. He would lick her ear, trying to keep her calm, as well as himself, as she went through the process. In almost no time at all a little bundle was produced.

With all of it over, Silveris just wanted to sleep, but at the moment, she couldn't. She needed to get the pups back to the den, and then she could. At least the hard part was over, and the female could get a good look at the pups. She lowered her head towards her children, giving each one a final lick with her tongue. They were all three beautiful, but Silveris realized something with a jolt. The tan and white one wasn't making any noise, even though he seemed as healthy as the other two. She didn't know much, but weren't pups supposed to be noisy? That one certainly wasn't.
Turning towards the first one, she nudged him with he nose, closer to her, giving him a small smile. He looked like a mix of both of the two, with her fur coloring and the markings under her mate's eyes. He was precious; they all were. They were all so small though, and the female felt like any moment could squash them; she would have to be careful, even if that fear was irrational.
She looked up as he spoke, saying that he thought the tan and white male should be called Ion. "Ion. I like it." She turned her gaze to the last child, the one who still had no name. She glanced up at her mate again, searching for any names. After a bit, she came up with a name; Mieu. In a way, to her, the name seemed to fit the little brown and white pup. She gave him a nudge, then spoke, her voice soft. The children couldn't hear her, of course, but she still kept her voice lower than usual. That, and the energy that this had taken was slowly taking it's toll. "How about Mieu, for him?" She asked, motioning towards the first born with her nose.
