Lovely liquid time! This is set before the festival, would be whilst Frith, Aslan and Varda are taking their trip North. I won't do specific rounds, but try get your replies in as quick as you can guys.

Novella had once done this same activity for her eldest litter, it didn't seem like that long ago at all if she was entirely honest. They were grown, certainly capable of hunting alone now. It was hard to believe it was time to prepare this litter for the same things if she was entirely honest, the Summer had flown by and they were growing up so quickly. Little Luck was still so tiny however, the complete opposite of Aslan it seemed, taking her sweet time in growing whereas he had of course had huge growth spurts.

Dainty size wouldn't keep her back from learning though, that much Novella was certain of. She had hunted for the pair of them earlier though now had left a scent trail and hidden their meal, now it was time for them to learn to use their noses and work on their tracking skills. Fate seemed to be quite the swift learner, his little fishing lesson with Aslan proving that, how would he find this little challenge though? With the meal safely hidden, she let out a call for the pair and waited for them to arrive.

Fate had certainly taken a liking to fishing. It wasn't necessarily the water or the act of catching food. It was simplistic now that he knew how to do it and a little calming too. A call would rise for him and his sister, the voice undoubtedly his mother. With a smile, he would pick up the fish he had just caught and walk off towards his mother. The dead fish flopped in his mouth as he bounced up and down with every step. One of these days he would try to hunt land animals. His paws were soaking wet as he arrived. He set the fish down by a tree and looked to his mom for instruction. "Hello mom! What're we doing today?" Curiosity stained his lips as his nose went into action. He caught the scent of food. He would sniff the ground and then look to his mom with a curious look.

What did her father call this creature...a butterfly, right? It certainly flew around, fluttering it's bright-coloured wings and hopping from one flower to the other. But was it really it? Was this the beautiful creature her father spoke of? As she pondered with this thought, her gaze followed the frantic wings of the vivid creature, a curious smile weakly pulled across her face.

She almost had the urge to jump up and trap it...but it'd get scared! She didn't want to scare this beautiful thing! It probably didn't want to be frightened just as much as she didn't. Luck whined innocently as it disappeared in the flowers, and she stood to her paws, hobbling over and sticking her nose into the grass.

Little did she know that the butterfly was a sensitive creature. Well, until now. It fluttered up in front of her and rocketed above her, flying off in a hurry. Luck frowned and seated herself. She scared it off...why did she seem so scary to little rodents and bugs? Was she really as scary as her father and mother...just because she had teeth and claws?

The young draft sucked in a relaxed breath and stared to the ground, her tail brushing against the grassy surface beneath her. What would she do now? Go hunt down the butterfly, find another one? But her question was soon answered, as a smooth howl tore through the sky. Luck jumped to her paws in surprise, but instantly identified who it was. Her mother, summoning her and Fate.

When she got there, Fate was already there. Thank goodness...she adored Fate, always felt safe around him, considering he was larger than her and seemed stronger. The young girl skipped over to him and nuzzled his shoulder, sitting down next to him, oblivious to the food smell that lingered in the air. "Mother?"

Fate was the first of the two children to arrive at the scene, another fish with him it seemed he had quite taken to the method of hunting after his big brother had taught him how to catch them. She'd certainly feel proud for both of the boys for that little success; Aslan for being a better teacher than he'd realised he could be and Fate for clearly learning very well. "Hello Fate, you'll have to wait and see." She informed him, she wasn't exactly going to fill one pup in on the details and give him a head start in the search or repeat herself. She was sure Luck wouldn't be long anyway.

Sure enough there was the dainty girl appearing now. In the way that Aslan had always seemed overgrown, little Luck seemed too small in comparison to her other siblings. Her shy demeanour certainly left her appearing all the more delicate as well. "Is everything ok Luck?" Novella questioned, she seemed a little unsure from the questioning way that she addressed her.

Once she had been reassured, it was time to move onto the lesson that at least one of her children was surely eagerly awaiting. "Today we're going to start learning how to track things." Novella began to explain. "It's a very important part of hunting, being able to actually locate your prey. You can use eyes, ears and nose to find them, looking for tracks or signs that they've passed through the area. Listen for movements or sounds that can point out which direction they might be in and of course your nose can pick up their trails as well." By now they'd of course learnt about their different senses but did they know how to use them efficiently for finding their food? She would pause and let the information settle and of course let them ask any questions if they had any.
