As the sparring finished, the three groups had been announced for the festival's hunt. Whether her parents deliberately sorted themselves into the other groups or not, it didn't matter. She still had her brother, so it wasn't a complete downfall. In fact, now was her chance to improve her hunting and confidence by taking the reins and calling her group together. Others were starting; why couldn't they? After a hesitant moment, she summoned her group with a howl in the hopes that their arrival would be punctual. Adrenaline pulsed at the thought of leading the hunt as she briefly searched for a target within the forest's expanse. Her gaze caught sight of a distant small herd of whitetail deer while her mind questioned if they were a suitable choice for the hunt. She mentally cringed at realisation of the antlers; could she pick something else? She didn't have so much of a positive history with any animals that had something sticking out from their head. What if someone got injured? It would be her fault for choosing a dangerous prey. However, there was something else that made her continuously reconsider her decision. One of the deer was noticeably smaller and stood close to a larger deer's flank. Perhaps it was a half grown fawn or a small adult, but either way, it was a potential target for the group. Before she jumped to any conclusions, she'd wait for the rest of the wolves to gather and assemble some sort of plan, in case they had better ideas or strategies worth listening to.
Rather than take part in the spars himself, Aslan had observed from a distance, trying to use it as a learning opportunity. He hadn't ever fought before and whilst they were friendly matches, he'd much preferred the idea of having a little experience before joining in with the rough and tumble of the seemingly far more experienced fighters that had attended the festival. Hopefully his Uncle would return soon and teach them things, maybe next time he could join in then.
The hunts however he felt more comfortable with and to his luck, it seemed he had been placed in the same group as his sister for the activity. He had led one hunt himself though on this occasion chose to sit back and it was in fact his sister that would call them all instead. Quick to respond, it seemed that Aslan would be the first one to join Varda and quietly the dark boy would greet her before settling to wait for the rest of their team to arrive.
