Astrea smiled, she now watched the nighthawk wiz around the fields of gold swooping and scooping up the insects of the night. She had taken the bird out right before sunup, Zori almost begged the star child to come to this new part of her packs territory. Astrea had nothing better to do so she agreed and now as she watched her feathered friend she knew why she wanted to come this way. This place was perfect for the bird to hunt, it was full of pray for the little creature.

Astrea hummed as she lifted her paw and played with her star. her relationship with Ten was accelerating, but it was not Ten she was thinking about. It was Voltage, he was going to be leaving in the morning and frankly she still wanted to go with him, but the fear was still holding her back, well that and Ten. But she still; there was so much she could learn just by going to that little island of her childhood and talking to the parents that abandoned them all, if they where willing to talk that is. But again fear griped Astrea, fear of what she would find out; fear that the parents that she thought loved them all still does not indeed care for the offspring that they coldly tossed aside. In her hearts of hearts Astrea hoped that was not the case, that the parents that had birthed the closest beings in Astrea's life had cast them out for a reason; good or no, all it had to be was some reason that they thought being without them was better then being with them.

Astrea hummed again as Zori swooped past her head. There was one thing though that Astrea was sure of, life was good; she was healthy and happy, with siblings to look after her and the affections of a large spotted knight; so whatever the reason was she forgave them for it.

Voltage was...restless. He paced and moved and fidgetted. It was much more obvious than normal, and for once it wasn't entirely due to his high energy levels. Infact, Voltage felt rather tired, subdued aside from his anxiety. No, he moved because it allowed his mind to rest, to wind through his thoughts without the emotion flooding and clouding it all away. He was leaving his family. Voltage was leaving his family. The one thing he vowed he would never do, he was doing. Albeit it was temporary, and it was to retrieve possible family (another vow he had taken) but it still...it was still hard. So he paced, he moved, he explored the new territory they claimed, hoping that if he walked around enough his scent would remain untill he returned. With Serefina hybernating that left few of his siblings that knew how to fight to defend their territory. He was worried, anxious. What if his siblings needed him, to talk to or play with. What if Serefina's frustration grew too strong without their fighting release or playful antics and she went beserk. With a shake of his head he sighed, closing his eyes tightly to try and push all that away.

With a gentle breath then, he lifted his gaze, searching the sky for the stars. Ever since he and Astrea had their conversation on their volcano, so long ago before they grew so close, he had taken up this habit. Perhaps it was because he wished he could find his answers traced in the glowing stars, just like his littlest sister seemed to. He constantly adapted his habits to mend and mold around his family, and star gazing had become on of his favorite calm-down activities. There was something relaxing about staring at the stars, trying to envision the pictures Astrea had pointed out to him before. With a small sigh he felt his anxiety slowly lesson, and he allowed his eyes to close again and his head to drop.

That was when he heard and smelt the large bird in the sky. Blinking he tilted his head, looking for signs of the hawk. Weren't they all supposed to be asleep now? He didn't know of Astrea's recent companion, it had been a small piece of information that had slipped between the cracks during all this chaos. So, when he spotted his littlest sister sitting in the prairie he couldn't help but feel surprised. This wasn't the best place to look at the stars, the cliff allowed a much better vantage point! So, with careful pawsteps he'd approach her, trying to keep out of her line of sight and not to alert her to his presence. With one precise, calculated leap he'd try to land perfectly at her side, a bright grin upon his lips. "What's a pretty thing like you doing out here all alone, little lady. Don't you have a certain mister that's supposed to protect you?" He teased, his eyes shining in the darkness.

Astrea was so absorbed in watching her new friend zoom about the field, the predawn light creating the most beautiful sunrise. She was humming her eyes drifting closed as a gentle breeze ruffled her fur. Zori swooped bye her again, but this time chirping a warning a split second before a deep and playful timber came from behind her. She smiled then, shaking her head at her companion before Zori could descend upon her brother. Without even turning her head Astrea hummed and watched Zori give the energy brother the stink eye and then fly off after another insect in her hunting. She laughed at her brother, never turning her head from the view of the blinking and fading stars. "Hes off sleeping, but do not worry brother; Zori was protecting me."

She smiled as the little bird circled around then and landed on her head, the bird tweeted to volt and settled herself between Astrea's ears. It was then that the star child looked over at her brother. She wondered what he was doing here, wasn't he supposed to be getting ready for his trip or something? She smiled then, it seemed that Volt, no matter how busy he was, always had time for her. She turned back to the sunrise as her companion's little body relaxed as the nighthawk fell into a light sleep.

"Do you think you will find more siblings?" She should know if there was a younger litter, but for the life of her could not remember. In the later months on the island was spent on the highest point, close to the stars. She hardly ever went back to the dens and saw her mother even less. "Do you think that they would kick them out like they kicked us out?"

A small hope bloomed in her chest as she thought more on the situation of the family. "Volt, maybe what ever had our parents kick us out has passed and they where looking for us, what if they wanted us back?" She got up then and turned to her brother, she made sure to not disturbed Zori in doing so. "Maybe I should go with you after all, its not like I am doing much good here; maybe I would be of more help at our parents island!" Even the thought of Seerten could not hold this intense desire to make the trip with Volt. But then again, the fear that her hopes where in vain where something else entirely. She did fear that her hopes that maybe what Voltage and Glacier was right, maybe their parents really didn't love them, maybe they despised the life they brought into the world. But then why did they raise them? Why did they not kill them or abandon them when they where newborns? Nothing about the siblings upbringing made since. She wanted answers, almost needed them like her next breath. "What if they finally realized that they made a mistake in chasing us out, Volt."

Voltage would smile softly, watching the little bird fly off. Zori seemed nothing like Freewing who actually seemed to like him, but this was also his first time meeting the bird. So he'd chuckle slightly, looking at the bird as he landed on Astrea's head. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Zori." He said politely, grinning slightly before he'd turn his eyes towards the sky, watching the sky begin to paint the world with it's pastels. He hadn't really slept tonight, and he was about to venture off into that sunrise soon...but he didn't feel at all tired. No, but he oddly did feel relaxed here beside his star loving sister. When she spoke again he blinked in surprise before looking over at her quickly, sighing. "Well, you would probably know better than I. When they...when we came and got you was there another litter?" He asked softly. If the pattern was right then Astrea would have seen their siblings before she was abandoned.

Voltage would sigh and move to sit a tad closer to his sister and nuzzle into the soft fur along her neck (keeping distance from Zori). "There is a very...very good possibility that they will." He said softly, looking at her then, knowing this wasn't an easy conversation for her. Their parents were always an odd conversation. He sighed heavily, turning his gaze back to the sky as she spoke. He listened to every word carefully, knowing how much she wanted to go...but he couldn't. This was to protect her, as well as their future siblings. "Astrea..." He said softly, keeping his eyes on the sky. "I would feel more comfortable...if I knew you were here." He said softly then, allowing silence to settle between them, turning his gaze slowly back towards her. "They will never want us back, sister. I have been dealing with this for longer than you have been alive.." He said softly, with conviction. They were on their own, and soon there could be another litter on their own as well. So he sighed, moving to press a kiss into her temple. "If I don't return, Astrea...I need you here to help our siblings..." He whimpered softly.
