Location: Redbud Nook

It was a good thing, that unlike her roleplayer, Lillie had a decent sense of direction. Otherwise, she'd be hopelessly lost. She decided to travel away from Abaven, just to explore; she came from the south east, for there there were strings of islands leading from the lands she came from to the lands of Alacritia. She was heading towards the southwest; the opposite direction. It was interesting, but not so interesting as the field of color she had just stepped into. It started as simple blooms. Now, she was surrounded by pink, purple, and some white. Her paws her in what felt like paradise, soft blossoms so smooth and soft underneath her paw pads.

It was, in other words, shockingly beautiful. She had never in her life seen something such as this, and the fact it exists.. well, it was astounding. She wished she could have come another, passed through this area on her way to Abaven, but no matter - she was here now. Her eyes closed and her head tilted... only to have a petal fall right in her nose.

Jumping up, the red girl let out an explosive sneeze, hard enough that she wobbled where she stood, rubbing her nose with a paw and glaring up at the now snot-covered petal.

SERAPHIM IMPERIALIS

Seraphim was awoken by the sound of a sneeze. His eyes flew wide open and he lurched to his feet with enough force that he stumbled forwards a pace. What on earth was that? He'd been broke out of a dream and therefore couldn't quite place the noise he'd heard, except that it was quite loud and relatively nearby. His ears pressed against his skull and he lowered his massive frame, slinking across the ground with as much stealth as any behemoth could muster. Curiosity had overridden his fear, leaving him somewhere between piqued and cautious. The young male came at last over a low rise... and found a small female below him.

She seemed a bit agitated, and he realized all at once what the noise had been. "Are you allergic?" he asked, tone jovial and tinged with humor. Phim would get sniffly if he spent too much time around certain flowers, perhaps this female was the same way. Her coat was really red, and he wasn't certain he'd seen it before. "Back where I'm from, we've got these tall yellow flowers that make me sneeze and sneeze and sneeze. It's awful!" He tilted his head to the side and tried to find her scent on the wind, but it was blowing away from him. He had no idea where this fae was from, or what she was like, but anyone who took the time to stop and smell the flowers was alright in his book.

She was only just recovering from that massive, head-hurting sneeze when a scent drifted into those wounded nostrils, and she froze. Head swivelling, she laid eyes upon... okay, wow. A rather gorgeous wolf, with blue and grey and black mottled fur. Even more than that, he was huge. Like, she had to crane her neck to look at him. She was shocked out of that from the sound of his voice, and her eyes narrowed in a glare - a glare, she realized, was not really that authentic; she could feel the beginnings of a grin play on her face. Allergic? Pah. "No, I had a petal fall in my nose," she muttered, indignant. But, once again, with that grin on her face.

She already liked this male - and it had nothing to do with his appearance. While she acknowledged he was very pretty and unique, that was as far as it went. It was the humor in his voice, and yeah, the question. Just the cheerfulness of him cheered her up. She felt that grin widening, and she giggled as he kept talking. Just the image of such a wolf, so huge, almost crippled from sneezing constantly. It was fabulous... and yeah, kinda awful too. And to make it worse, a sneeze erupted from her at the end of his words, and she burst out laughing.

"You!" she gasped between laughs, tone accusatory. "It's your fault!" The statement was puncuated with more laughs, her head shaking as mirth took her.

SERAPHIM IMPERIALIS

For a moment, standing on the receiving end of her glare, Seraphim wondered if he'd bothered the fae. He nearly opened his mouth to blurt out an apology, but before he knew it she was smiling. Upon explaining her situation, Phim couldn't help but join in. She must have some pretty crappy luck, all things considered. He was about to reply when once again she began to sneeze. By the end of it he was failing to hold back laughter, sides aching and tail lifted high. "It's your fault!" she claimed with mirth in her tone. Seraphim gasped out a scoff as if she'd offended him. "Hardly! I bathe at least once a season, my scent is entirely pleasant as long as you don't stand too close," he joked with a wink.

This wolf knew how to laugh, which already made her interesting in his eyes. He took a few more paces forwards, coming down the slope slightly so that she was not straining her neck to converse with him. She was much, much smaller than he, but Phim was used to that by now. He'd only met a handful of wolves who topped his gargantuan size, one of which was his brother. He thought of Angel with a smile, and wondered if he would have liked this little fae. "Are you from around here?" he asked with a tilt of the head. If she was, maybe she could show him all the best places to explore! The thought brought a new smile to his face.

The laughter died down, though her eyes still twinkled with amusement. She needed that, and she loved that he, a stranger, had joined in with teh laughter... and the teasing back. She laughed again. "Really? Should I test that out?" she questioned with a grin as he approached. She also took a few steps forward, until she was only a couple feet from him. She stretched her neck out to his shoulder, taking a couple of loud sniffs before leaning back, looking up at him and saying, "Nope. You smell nice and flowery to me."

She returned his question with a shake of the head and another smile. It was clear he wasn't around here because otherwise he wouldn't have asked that - though, maybe he'd be willing to explore with her? It'd be so much more interesting with a companion such as him. "No. I'm currently residing in Abaven; I've come out here to explore. I came from the south east... Wanted to explore the southwest since I have never been here before." The words flowed from her mouth with nary a stutter, and her own eyes widened at her admission. She had never mentioned to Motif where she had come from.

Phim chuckled as the girl minced forward. She claimed he smelled just fine, and he was glad to remember actually taking the time to clean his fur only a day before. Let no one say he wasn't lucky! The boy chuckled and rolled his eyes, refraining from commenting as the girl began to speak again. She would tell him of a pack called Abaven, and it was somewhat familiar to him. He was pretty sure that one of the femmes who liked his Daddy had a sibling there, or... something. "I'm from Imperium, in the south, but I'm out wandering too!" he claimed proudly, as if there were any other way to speak of his Daddy's pack. "My father is Valentine." It didn't occur to him that Valentine might not be a name she was familiar with, so he smiled on with blind adoration. Phim sat down with a thump, tail rustling amongst the grass and leaf litter below. He cocked his head to the side and asked, "What's your home like? I've never been that far away before." Someday though, he promised himself, that would change. He wanted to see everything, as much as he could! In the mean time though, hearing about it was good too.

She grinned at the pride; it just... amused her. She wasn't sure why it did, but it did. Perhaps it was because it made him appear as young as.. well, as young as he did not look. She'd place him around her age, a little older. A yearling... though a freaking huge one.

Her head tilted at the mention of Valentine; was this wolf important? It was also spoken with pride, so maybe he was a higher ranking wolf? She didn't know of Imperium either, other than that it was a pack. She hadn't examined the other packs, though the one she knew most about was Threar, as a result of being neighors with the pack.

Another grin formed on her lips as he asked her about her home. She liked the sound of that, that Abaven was her home. She hadn't considered a place her home, not since the deaths. It pleased her, made lightness in her heart.

"Well... it's very green," she snorted. That it was - the serpant plains were beautiful, green vegetation overflowing and beautiful. "It's dangerous, though. There's lots of snakes. It's why it's called the Serpent Plaiins. It extends to a bunch of really, really tall grass in a land called the Rustling Thicket to the west, and o the east, it goes to the rive.r We have the territory beyond that, too. The rapids, and the lands extending beyond. That's even more dangerous; if you step into the rapids, you've signed over your life. But just a little ways down the river, animals like to come drink water there. It's beautiful, really. Maybe you can visit sometime, as a diplomat of sorts? What's your home like?" She hoped so - she did wish she could show the other packs what they were missing... but at the same time, she wished she could see what she was missing in the other packs. It would be delightful, she felt, to deal with Seraphim's pack - especially if they were all like him.

SERAPHIM IMPERIALIS

Seraphim drank in her words with wide eyes, trying to picture the places she described. They had grasslands too, sort of! But he didn't see snakes all that often, unless he went looking for them. Which was pretty rare, seeing as he wasn't the best at telling which would hurt him and which were good to eat. It seemed like there was a lot of variety too, which he was a little bit jealous of. "We've got lots of plains too. We've got a hilly place that hosts herds and herds of bison. Have you ever hunted a bison? They're huge and really mean." He let out a nervous chuckle, recalling some of the close calls he'd witnessed in his time. "We also have this big grove of fruit trees! The fruits only really good in autumn, but all year long theres loads of rabbits and squirrels. Then theres the Range, which has more fields and some woods too. It seems boring at first but there's actually loads of cool places to find if you take the time to look!" His excitement wormed into his limbs and he minced in place just thinking about it. He didn't know if Daddy would let him go to another pack, but the thought of it made him smile. He'd be able to meet so many new wolves and see so many things! All he could do was smile like a cheese ball. "Erm. Don't get me wrong, that sounds awesome, but I really doubt my Dad would let me do something like that. Not for a few years anyways! I can barely make it home in one piece even when I don't leave the borders. And yes," he added looking around them, with a chuckle, "This will probably be a prime example of that."

As he listened to her with wide eyes, she listened to him with equally as wide eyes. Especially with the bison bit. "What's a bison?" she interupted, fascination in the depths of her green eyes. big? how big? And those plains - those sounded really cool. She bet they weren't really like the Rustling Thicket, with the grass that was higher than her. She also couldn't resist chuckling along with him, guessing he had a rather too-close encounter with them. She'd definitely ask about that. And hills. She wanted to see lots of hills. The lands around Abaven and the East were rather flat, though the ocean was beautiful. Swimming wasn't, but at least if you stayed n a certain course you always had an island in view, even if you had to fight against the waves sometimes.

Those sparkling green eyes stayed wide as the fruit trees were described, widening even more at the implication that the fruit were eaten. Eat fruit? They were wolves! They didn't eat fruit! At the same time, she couldn't help but be curious about how fruit tasted... though her mouth watered more at the mention of squirrels and rabbits. That thought was sidetracked at the thought of the Range, which made her eyes light up. As fascinating as plains and hills were, she loved the woods. It was one thing that made her sad that Abaven didn't have a forest - she had always, always enjoyed the foresty smells and tastes and, ohhh. "I believe it," she said earnestly.

Pleasure wormed it's way even more deeply into her as the boy grinned along side her, and she giggled as he continued speaking, though a slight twinge of disappointment flowed through her. Hopefully his father would. She laughed again, bright and cheery, at his comments. "Well then, do you need to be escorted home?" she teased, though there was a hint of sincerity in the tone, simply due to the fact she'd love to see his home.
