Lillie grinned and licked Vail's nose when the pup faced her. "Neverrr," she whispered in a low voice, tongue flopping out of her mouth as she did so. She attempted to lick Vail again, but her tongue sort of just flopped; it was at the side of her mouth, after all. Eyes crossing, Lillie slurped her tongue back into her mouth. "There will always be tickles," she added just as the pup flipped herself over. She pushed herself, eyes glittering as she bounced after the pup until she was lined up with the pup, trotting alongside her with a small smile. There was one pressing matter, though: It was hot, and they needed to make sure they drank enough. "Vail," she murmured to get the white wolf's attention. "We need to drink water. Want me to show you where some water would be?" "Speech"

Lillie wouldn't quit teasing her until Vail was turning back over, and even then Lil reminded her that there would always be tickles. Vail would offer her companion a mischievous grin as she started off on her way. Vail would keep ahead for a few more minutes before Lillianna caught up to her. Vail had no idea where she might be going, she was just going and hoping that she might run into something interesting. Literally run into it too she had no doubt, and with where they lived she'd be lucky if it wasn't a venomous snake. Luckily though Lillianna would take back the lead, grabbing Vail's attention by saying her name. The tiny child would slow slightly, her bright eyes searching for the silhouette that was Lillianna. Water? Vail wasn't really thirsty.. "Don' need wa'er," she'd say quietly, but her actions would have her follow after Lilli, knowing she should do what she said. ""

Lillianna smiled and nosed the pup lightly, tongue rasping over the peach and white girl's forehead. "Of course you do," she murmured lightly, pondering how she could make this fun for the girl. Hmm... well, might as well get her excited a little first, even as she steered herself and the pup in a different direction, away from the river that they would have inevetably would have encountered if they continued on this path. Instead, she would take Vail to the nearby stream. "Besides, I have a surprise waiting for you." The words popped out of her mouth, just as that mischievious smile quirked her lips. Oh, she had a surprise. It may or may not involve splashing Vail lots. Childish, yes. Fun, even more so. Heck, the yearling was even looking forward to it, and with the 'surprise' she daresay thought Vail would be trembling with impatience and excitement by the time they reached the stream. "Speech"

She'd get another forehead kiss from Lillianna, the girl repeating obviously that she needed a drink. Vail was quite unaware at how dehydrated she was already. "Okay," she'd agree half heartedly as Lilli led the way towards whatever water source it was they were searching for. When she heard the word surprise however Vail would perk up noticeably, her eyebrows would lift as her ears perked. "For me?!" She couldn't help but ask, quite bewildered. What kind of surprise could it be? What kind of surprises might there be where you went to get a drink? Vail's pace increased, though her grace did not and she would trip over herself in eagerness to get there. Despite her renewed efforts she really wouldn't move any faster than she had before, but it made her feel better. ""

It worked! It cheered her up, made her excited - and made Lillie giggle in pleasure, as well as in amusement at her attempt to speed up. "For you!" she responded with another small laugh, feeling cheered up by the simple fact that Vail cheered up. A bounce entered her step, and she bounced along right with the albino girl as they neared the stream. When they arrived, Lillie's eyes widened. It had deepened since she had last come here, though it was not so deep that she was not able to easily hop it and stand on the other side for a moment before wiggling into the water in front of Vail. "Now try to reach the water using your nose. It'll be a bit hard to see since it's more shadowed here, so try to do it using your ears and your nose. When you succeed, you get your surprise!" Oh, she couldn't wait. "Speech"

Lilli didn't hesitate to assure Vail that indeed, this surprise was completely for her. That was all it would take fur Vail to at least attempt to speed up her slightly sulking gait. Eagerly she'd follow after the older girl, smelling the water as they reached it. She' grin widely, proud of herself for knowing when they'd arrived with out Lillianna having to tell her. She wouldn't follow the other girl into the water but would follow the instructions. Ever so cautiously, but obviously excited in the way her tail beat back and forth at her pink rump, Vail would lean down and seek out the water with her tongue, lapping a few inches before she hit she was able to not take in a big breath full of air as she shoved her nose underneath the water by accident. The water was cool and refreshing, unlike the stale water that was left for her at the den. Surely this wasn't her surprise, while it was rather great it was just a drink of water after all. ""

Lillie was having to resist the urge to bounce herself, although she couldn't stop her tail from moving in an excited wag as she watched Vail lean down. The surprise was waiting for her when she cautiously lapped up the water, enough that Lillie felt satisfied - and when she got some in her nose and recoiled a little, Lillie took this opportunity to rear on her hind paws, shifting her weight backwards and holding for a brief moment, waiting as that little pink nose cleared the water again before splashing heavily back into the water. Water sprayed all over her and the opposite side - but more importantly, all over Vail. "Surprise!" the yearling giggled, sending another pawful of water in Vail's direction. Even if Vail fell into the water, it wouldn't hurt - it was dirt, not rocks in this tiny stream; all that would happen would she would get even more wet. "Speech"

She would hear Lilli moving in the water, maybe getting her surprise, but really Vail wasn't sure. She was much too engrossed in her drink. As she finished, and went to look back up at the other girl a wave of water would topple over her tiny form. She was very much stunned at first, unable to process anything as the water got into her eyes and nose. Her eyes would sting slightly and she would choke on the water in her nose. Lilli would splash her again and this time Vail would squeal in displeasure, "Lil' no!" She'd try and shake out her coat, sorely disappointed in her surprise. "Had' no surprise!" Surprises were supposed to be good, she'd cough up a little bit more water as she backed away from the bank. That hadn't been fun or and kind of good. She didn't liek teh wet, and with the gentle spring breeze she'd even feel a bit chilled. "s'cold." She would whine pitifully as her skin started to shiver. ""

When she saw that her surprise was not welcome at all, Lillie whined loudly, jumping to the other side of the bank even as the pup backed away and started shivering. Her whine came in simultaneously with Vail, a whine that held the words of I'm so sorry. She thought it'd be fun, but she was wrong and now she messed up and she had no clue what to do and oh she just wanted to sink into the ground or go back and not do it and - another whine emerged at her cluster of thoughts and she nosed the pup, nosing her backwards back into the sunlight, where the sun would warm her, more apologies spilling from her whines as she did so "Speech"

She wasn't really all that upset it was just water, but she made a big show and was shivering for real. Lilli stopped immediately though, and that's what counted. The other girl's touch a whines were apologetic, Lilli didn't hesitate in putting the alabaster baby into the sunlight to help warm her, but Vail also wouldn't hesitate to glean any warm she could from her companion. She was growing quite a bit more pink at this time, but Vail hadn't noticed the tingly feeling that her skin was starting to give off. "No more s'prises." Her little voice was quite convinced. She didn't want anymore surprises anymore, especially if they were as unpleasant as that. She wanted another drink though, and as soon as she was warm again she'd make her way back to the stream to try for another drink of the fresh cool water. ""

Licks covered the girl; from her head down her lick, fast, though gentle, licks lapping the water from her fur in an attempt to dry her further, though Vail was making it a bit difficult by pressing into Lillie. It was this action that made the whines fade -along with the fact she can't lick and whine at the same time -and make her feel less that horrible, crippling guilt that swam through her and just made her want to melt into the ground.

Ears would pick up from their flattened spot on her head when vail spoke; Lillie paused in her ministrations to whisper, "No more surprises." Her voice was just as firm as Vai's. No, no more. She'd not make Vail more upset.

She trailed after Vail as she went back down to the stream, lurking a few feet behind her as she watched, still at a loss of what to do.

Vail didn't pay much attention to Lilli's attempts to lick her dry, her focus would shift quickly to her last drink before the pair of them could go off and continue their play. The girl was rather pink at this point, but not to the point of pain. Not that she knew what was coming anyway. Her cpmanion would reassure the tiny girl that there would be no more surprises and Vail felt quite satisfied with that promise. As she finished her drink she'd back away from the water and look back up to her playmate, previous transgressions forgiven as she sipped away from the water. "C'mon Lil'! More play!" She'd squeal as she went running off again, confidence in her tiny blind steps as she went off to find the next interesting thing. -exit vail- ""

Lillie noticed the pink, in a way; it made her head tilt, but it was dismissed: she had not paid much attention to the skin beneath the pale fur, this was most likely just her natural color. Either way, there wasn't much thought put into it; who'd ever heard of a wolf getting sunburnt? Lillie certainly hadn't. Especially when she was still worried that Vail was upset with her. This worry, though, was assuaged as Vail stepped away from the water. Lillie felt relief in her frame as she was already forgiven - oh, how she loved this girl. A grin formed on her face as Vail squealed, and Lillie would dart after her little friend with a glee that could not be faked. -Lillie also out- "Speech"
