Welcome to the World

She hadn't been out of the den in the last few days, she was so swollen now that she could hardly even move, let alone get herself out of the den. Her tiny silvery frame looked very much miss shappen, but this time Gaia was sure that her little ones would be here soon. She was still terrified, she didn't want to go through the birth, but she was so looking forward to getting them out of her. They moved constantly, and it was easy to tell that their confined home really was getting much too small for them. They would make that ever more apparent now as the first of her contractions would start. The feeling was uncomfortable, Gaia would feel herself tense at it took her. She was silent though, and within a few moments the sensation was gone. It left her slightly out of breath, and she could feel a panic growing within her chest. Voltage needed to be here right now, she hoped and prayed he was the only one that would come as she called out from their den for him. It was twilight now, before the morning came she was sure their little bundles would be here. But what happened between now and then was more than uncertain. "" |

Voltage was never not nearby lately. He could tell the signs, knew that Gaia was getting close and there wasn't a hope in hell that would get Voltage too far away from her. But that didn't mean he spent every second in the den, he couldn't. As much as he wanted to always be by her side he physically couldn't. Voltage had too much energy, especially now with his babies on the way. He had to move, had to expend it or he'd feel like the was exploading. It was something he knew very well, something he had a lot of experiance with, his ample energy. So that's what he was doing, pacing and trotting and moving along the beach to try and expend his energy. Every time he passed the den he'd poke his head in to check on his love, before trotting off, bolting and running and trying to just calm down, which everyone knew was damn near impossible. Any Elementas that watched him would know somethings up. If it were any other day he'd be off to the battlefield to get rid of this energy, or run with gale, or even try and get into a mental match with Solaris or Terrae. It was difficult, now, with him pacing before the den, to get rid of his energy. Any day now, any day. So the moment he heard Gaia's call he spun, wincing slightly on his hurt leg as he bolted towards the den, diving in. "What's wrong?" He whispered, his breath coming out in quick pants due more to excitement than exhaustion. He circled around her slightly then, looking at her belly and searching for anything out of the ordinary, or at least from what he had learned. "Should I call Terrae?" He asked, his soft voice coming out in a rush. As much as he adored Orchid's knowledge, he wanted his brother to have this experience. "Burn Baby Burn" |

He couldn't spend all of his time with her even if she wanted him to. During the last leg it seemed like even though they didn't spend every second together all she had to do was call and he was right there. Today, and the most important call, would be no different. He was there in an instant, questioning her reasons as he looked her over. He was quick to mention his brother as well. Her ears would fall back, no matter how much she wanted for it to only be herself and Voltage she knew it was both selfish and stupid. The babies were on their way, they needed Terrae. "Yes," her answer was meek. "They're on their way."over the last few weeks even she had been getting excited over their arrival, and her voice showed it now. Right afterwards another contraction started and this one hurt a bit more. She'd cringe as it went through her, oh she was not excited about the pain. "" |

Voltage pressed kisses along her skull and behind her ear, trying to calm her down as he did. The second she agreed that he should call Terrae he knew, for sure. It was time, time time time. His children would be on their doorstep, and the members of his siblings that don't know will know very soon, especially if they are anything like he was as a child. "I'll call him." He said as calm as he could before he quickly moved to the den entrance. He stepped out into the twilight and tossed his head back, calling for his brother. The call was powerful and sharp, something to not be ignored. He called for his brother Terrae, and hoped the rest of his siblings would forgive him. This had to be private, for Gaia, and then...then everyone would meet their children, his babies. The next generation of Elementas, and perhaps...answers to their questions. Lowering his head he'd gaze across the beach before quickly ducking back in to be at her side, to wait for his brother and hope that he learned what he could to help with the pregnancy. If not, Voltage had bugged Orchid enough to know how to help. "Burn Baby Burn" |
