He hadn't seen a trace if Arcus since he had tried to help the younger boy. He knew he had failed miserably at it still ate at him, am acid in his chest that slowly ate away at his heart. He hadn't let himself dwell on it too often since he had no idea what to do about it, how to fix it. In this instance not even voltage could come to the rescue he could nullify Sere's fires, but Arcus's storms... they raged past even what their loving brother could soothe. It seemed no one in their family could relate to Arcus, perhaps he held too much of all of them, their ice and storms and water and fire, and so much more. He was not one single aspect but all, he was, after all, a wild storm.

It wouldn't stop glacier from seaming their brother out, it wouldn't be the first time he searched for Arcus and it would never be the last. But the story sibling was illusive and all other attempts had fallen empty. He didn't truly expect for this time to be any different, as he searched for a trace of his brothers scent.

Arcus had been avoiding...everything. He didn't want to see anyone, didn't want to talk to anyone. After his fight with Voltage he had spent most of his days and nights away from Donostrea. He only came back now because Pest was being, well, a pest and decided to fly back "home". He grumbled as he crossed the border, keeping his eyes on the ground and refusing to meet the eyes of any of his siblings. He would certainly be talking to his bird about this later, tell him that this was no longer their home and he would just have to nest somewhere else. What he didn't account for, however, was his icy brother looking for him. He glanced up just in time to see Glacier a short distance away, and his heart flew to his throat. Slate blue eyes were wide before he suddenly bolted. He ran for the den with the tunnel, ran away from his elder brother in hopes that he'd find his stupid bird and then leave the pack before the larger wolf managed to catch him. He honestly couldn't deal with Glacier's disappointment in him, that was...if Voltage told Glacier. But of course he would, Glace and Volt were thicker than anyone. He was rather envious...he didn't have that in this family. The closest he was too was Astrea, and even she seemed beyond distant. His eyes would sting then as he curled his lips, growling to himself as he felt anger rush in to wash away his pain. Soon he'd be gone, and he'd never have to deal with this again.

A faint scent of his brother would reach him, and he would turn his head in time to see Arcus, a split second before he bolted. Glacier stood there a moment, stunned. "Er" he said, it was to himself since there was no one around to hear. Their last chat hadn't gone fantasticly, but. .. for Arcus to go to such lengths to ignore him? He wondered for a moment if he should heed that warning and let him be. His paws hesitated, uncertainty curling his stomach. It was not a feeling he would ever get use to, it was a feeling he hated. No one befuddled the giant quite as effectively as their stormy brother. He had been a young man once upon a time himself, back when it was just him and voltage, but their situation had been to dire to let teenage hormones swamp them. He couldn't relate to Arcus, he knew that. Of any other sibling came to him with a worry, he could fix it, but Arcus...? A sickening worry over took him and his decision was made. Arcus was family, he HAD to try.

He made his way to the den Arcus hid in. He didn't try to enter the cave himself, he hovered uncertainly on the outside the strange feeling of this situation being like a father and son that could not relate hit him, but he shook it away. That was part of the reason Arcus hated him, he didn't want a fatherly figure in glacier. Still heart sore he seated himself on the outskirts of the den, not even trying to pair in. "Arcus?" He asked softly.

Arcus had one paw in the tunnel that lead to the cliffs when Glacier's uncertain voice echoed around the den. He froze, slate blue eyes wide as something powerful washed over him. He stood there, staring into the darkness, feeling his feather shift and settle deeper into his fur when all of a sudden he just...broke. Worry, there was worry in that voice, concern. Something Arcus neither deserved nor expected anymore. The only one to look for him, to make sure he was alright...not just stumble upon him and ask out of small talk. Slowly his muzzle dipped, lowered towards the ground as his gaze travelled to the floor beneath him. And then it began, first a sharp gasp, a choking that caught in his throat and burned deep into his jaws and then it...fell. His pain fell from him in rain, splashing upon the ground as he sobbed, all strength leaving his limbs as he bonelessly fell to the ground with a thumb. He cried openly, loudly, not even caring if Glacier heard, or anyone else for that matter. He didn't even hear the twitter of his stupid, but useful bird as he flew to the sound of Arcus crying. He hid his eyes in his paws, unable to even feel anger anymore, as all of it washed out of him, shaking him to his core. Stupid Glacier, stupid stupid Glacier. Why'd he have to show up now...

Larcus would continue to shake his foundation, to utterly confuse and befuddled him. He didn't say say a word as glacier called out to him, and for a moment he wondered if his arrival had been too late, that his hesitation might have lost him this chance. That thought would leave him the moment he heard the soft thump of Arcus's body hitting the ground, and the clear, heart-rending sound of his sobbing. The pain twisting his gut until he thought he might choke, the giant moved forward. Helping Arcus had always been oht of his grasp, and yet here the boy was, broken and more in need of his help then ever before.

Fully expecting this time to be as futile as the last time he tried to help Arcus, he moved forward. Glacier was utterly helpless to his siblings in pain, no force on earth could have taken him from his brothers side at the sound of his pain. He slipped into the den, worry of intruding the least concern as he moved to his brother. He didn't say anything as he moved to his brothers side, falling to the earth heavily as he curled his great bulk aboht his brother, pulling Arcus into the protective folds of his thick coat and placing his head over his brothers. "I'm here " he whispered "I'm here." He had no idea if that was a comfort or an insult to Arcus, but he had nothing left to offer his brother but himself. Even if helping Arcus risked tearing out his heart and breaking it in two, he would offer to to Arcus regardless, unhesitating and unquestioning. He would give every bit of himself over to his brother if only it could ease his pain, because in the end there was nothing that mattered more.

For so very long he had clung to the fire of his anger, to help it over come the pain and the sadness of thinking that he was forgotten, unloved by this "tight knit" family. The very thought that he was forgotten and uncared for was burned so deep in the folds of his mind that it felt as if it would never leave, and every day it hurt. He would constantly and continuously mull over the fact that for nearly a full year no one looked for him, to make sure he was okay. He had tried so hard, so very hard to be apart of this family. Yet, nothing seemed to work. He spent so long alone in his darkness, in his storms, feeling the first spark and then the raging flames erupt within him. He was almost desperate to cling to the anger, even now he fiercely searching for thoughts that would help reignite that spark. His eyes burned as he cried, the sobs shredding his throat, and they only grew harsher as he felt Glacier's body wrap around him. "Go away." He whimpered weakly. God, how old was he, really? But oh, the pains of emotion, he was so hurt, so scorned. The tears just fell, continuously as he cried. His family, his littermates...they all seemed so distant, but Glacier was the only one who did end up seeking out for him, the only one that seemed to really care. It was his voice that triggered this pain, this wash of agony. Even now, Arcus subconciously tilted into Glacier's warmth, unknowingly clinging to him. "You're so stupid...all of you. Wh-why d-don't you care about me." He whimpered, hiccuping. "I can't do this anymore." He breathed, his eyes opening just a fraction to stare at the deep strands of fur that lined his brother's chest.

Arcus leaned into his warmth and lit a spark of hope in glscier, enough that it lessoned the sting of Arcus's words as he told him to go away, because his body seemed to be telling another story. He was still no closer to knowing how to help his brother, it mattered too much for him to even consider giving up. His brother still cried, bleeding out his pain through tears and glacier would continue to hold him gently, saying nothing further as Arcus spoke again. The boy wasn't pulling away, even when he accused glacier of so much. Glacier paused, but didn't let himself think too hard before he told Arcus the bare truth. He didn't often open himself up to his siblings, but perhaps Arcus needed to heart glaciers own confusion, his hearts truth. "I care, i care so much about you that it leaves me confused and lost. I don't know if we will ever relate or see eye to eye, but I care for you wholly, so much so that my heart is yours. Open for you to break or hurt as you please, because I will never hide it from you Arcus. I love you so much that if it ever came down to a choice, if I ever had to chose between you and anais, I would chose you. It wouldn't ever matter what it would do to me because the only thing that would matter was you." His eyes burned, his stomach churned. It was the most painful tryth he had spoken to the world. Anais had known from the start that family was the most important thing in the world to him, but did she truly know what that entailed? He knew beyond a doubt that if he was ever forced to make that choice, that betrayal to his sweet eyed innocent girl it would break him, kill him potentially, if not his body then his mind. Yet, even that did not matter because if he had to make that choice it would be Arcus. His family, they where of him in a way that nothing else could ever be, and his loyalty, love, and choice, would be with them till the end of their days. If that killed him... so be it, he lived for them anyway.
